She has poor breath control and pauses between lines which is terrible flaw . I certainly get offended when someone says a poor performance is better than best performance of a song that is given by any contestant in reality show . If you find slow and bland singing heart touching that is your subjective view . She murdered this song which is an objective fact based on noticeable aspects of singing . She didn’t deliver it even average even without comparison. I agree music taste is subjective , some people like mediocracy and some people like perfection . As a normal listener I didn’t find menuka’s performance any closer to Arunita’s version after listening original and both their performances carefully . I felt like Menuka ruined the song and I found Arunita’s version more heart touching . You saying menuka clearly performed well actually shows your dilusion . She clearly didn’t.

For example If you find raw meat healthier and tastier than cooked meat , that’s your subjective food taste but it’s not fact. Same way music tastes may be different but the opinions you formed out of your music taste arenot necessarily facts . Claiming them as facts without substantiating them shows your delusion .
