The velcro strap on there is useless for the larger battery option you can get. The tires it comes with are pointless on concrete. Speedy and fun little car otherwise!
This is my favorite RC. Not because it's the best, but because it's the one that brought me back to the hobby. It was inexpensive and just fast enough to make me want more. Love this rc.

Love your videos! Me and my grandson are both new to RC. He has had this same car for two months and I at 66 just got a Traxxas Rustler Rwd and love it. His car was great for a couple of weeks but then one side of the rear suspension came apart. Found the Rear Swing arm reinforcement plate bushing torn. They are rubber inserts in the plate. Also, I believe the reason this happened was that the Forward reinforcement plate (rear suspension) screws had totally backed out, allowing the swing arm rod to to detach. Hope all that makes sense. Found a You Tube video on how to fix this from (John Robinson - Swing Arm Holder Metal Upgrade). The big issue for me with this is that the screws for the Rear Forward Plate cannot be accessed unless you separate all the running gear, suspension from the bottom/ frame. John R shows how to do this in his video, which was a HUGE help! So I replaced all four plates (2 front 2 rear) with metal upgraded parts that look great! However, be careful about the two short screws that hold the bottom of reduction gear case to the frame! Longer screws will go in no problem but will interfere with the reduction gear, which lock up the drivetrain! Also I recommend to use a thread locker on the Forward Rear Reinforcement Plate. If you don’t the screws Will lossen again in short order! Other than that the car was great. Had a couple of tires that needed re-glued and one wheel come off at high speed. Hope this helps!
just got the 124019, it is awesome as well. Same build just slightly longer. Easier to upgrade to brushless. I have seen them going over 109 mph!!!!! have fun. Remember Banggood only sells products so they seem to be wide open to comments

Idk if you’d be interested at all in something like this but something I’ve wanted forever was a micro rc car, The idea of driving around a hotwheels-ish car was always something that intrigued me. And I found the turbo racing 1/76 car it’s a tiny little car that’s fully proportional and can also be found on Banggood. I bought one for myself and it should be coming in a few days and I’m so excited lol. Just a future video idea if your interested!

Great review! The reason for the battery problems, was that the orig battery that came with it was small enough to fit in the car. They must have switched to these larger batteries a short time ago. The orig was a 1500 battery that fit perfectly. Thanks for this honest review. I always enjoy your videos, as you have the same values as I do.

So the thing I worry about buying Banggood rc vehicles is not being able to get replacement parts when something breaks and we all know they will break They also sell from companies that no one has even heard of so reliability is an issue for me. I am interested to see how it holds up long term. I got an earlier one as a way to get back into RC after being out of the hobby for a long time. It looks like they are using a different metal now for the shock towers. I had a lot of problems with them bending out of shape if you even looked at them wrong.
I just got the 124019 (same components) and it hits about 32 mph stock with the LIPO 2s. Not sure why yours was topping at 24 mph. I assume you had the trim set at high? Congrats on the first sponsored video! Good job man!

I have one coming .ordered it today but i also order the aluminum upgrade kit for the control arms and steering knuckles...then i order a ser of aluminum rims and nice tires for it as well...i spent like 230 bucks between the car and all the upgrades...
I have their single charger and their Quad charger. I mostly use the quad unless I need to charge a lot of batteries all at once when I am going somewhere. The Quad charger is so worth it.
I have a Rustler vxl 4x4 , slash 4x4 vxl & a Hoss , Considering an E- Revo any other recommendations ? Maxx ? Etc doing a lot of bashing in fields and parks some jumping but not huge. Live your vids. Thanks for the fun.
I have one of my own and it's great but with the bigger batteries the holder is a let down as it has a knob that punctured both of my batteries. Also my servo and esc went nuts after running it 4 batteries worth in the snow and since ive gotten a brushless set

I over volt-ed with a 3s lipo and its holding up. I would say its reliable, but if you want to beef them up there are plenty of simple mods to do. Also a precheck on diff/shock oil, screws, and suspension tuning is something that you should do with any new r/c to prevent premature breakage.
You got lucky then I got 2 of em and heard it's basically a crap shoot running a 3s but eventually you will fry the ESC it's inevitable it wasn't built to handle that much juice! without the brushless setup, I would just set up the brushless to be safe I have feeling this model is gonna be a collectors item.
There is only one skatepark near me, and its PACKED all the time. I've even tried going on a weekday in the early morning. Its always so over crowded that I cant get my RCs in there. You can actually see it in my Xmaxx video where I'm driving with a friend at the park.
The 144001 is an RTR clone of the LC Racing EMB1-HK. Honestly, for what it is, it's a LOT of car for the price. The stock electronics are the weak point - they're proprietary and not even standard-compliant, so if you want to upgrade the motor or need to replace the servo after it inevitably gives up the ghost, you actually have to replace the All-in-one receiver/ESC unit as well as the servo is a "dumb actuator" in a servo body case and the electronics for it are actually in the all-in-one unit.
everyone else clocks that car at 29 to 32 on stock 2s battery...i have one coming... am interested to know if yours has the metal wheel hexes now?? also if diffs are full of grease...earliers versions came shipped with no grease...thanks

( i own this one and the 1/12 buggy version. like most, you'll want to add some diff fluid, and shock oil. or at least check the oil levels. parts so stupid widely available. i get replacement stuff for it next day from that one retail site.
Deleightful video to watch😀 The 144001 is like the VW Bug of RC. Nearly anyone can afford one and there reliable and easy to repair. Quite possebly the most popular RC car on the planet. I have 3 of them😂
@@outsourcedrc yes definitely a bit more pricey than wltoys but their components are a massive step up. If a company out there is willing to send you one to demo it would make an awesome series! I don't believe there are too many comparison videos between brands.
I know you have alot of awsome rc but I'm kinda excited to see what ya do with this wltoys I have one as well the purple one lil longer thats the only difference and it is really really fun for the price. Do something with it I think it will he a very popular video only bc everyone can afford these
I thought they did it just for me, but it turns out, thats just how that version of it comes. They do have a 2 battery version and i think one with no batteries so you can use your own.
A one day run hardly points out whether an RC is good or not. I'm sure even Yugo's ran fine their first day. As for parts availability, I'm not sure about that. I ordered parts for my WL Toys several times because it constantly broke. It took weeks for parts to come in. Good luck.
Well, I usually do follow up reviews on my RC's. I even say that its not fair to just use the first day as how it will do later on. I think I even say in this video, that this is only talking about running it for the first day, and that time will tell if it holds up.
actually that charger is a balance charger...it uses balance plug to charge...yes it takes a few hours...but for the price of this car i would not complain... most guys in the hobby have a good rc charger for there batts anyway..

I always try to use the same screws in place of what I remove. I have put the wrong screws in the wrong holes before. That never works out well.

I was able to run mine on 3s without burning up the esc though I swapped tires for 1/10 foams that are smaller in diameter and kept it on-road.

The older 959B does like 40 with a 540 motor. I wonder why this one's so much slower? I wonder what turn the motor is?

Thanks! No. You will need something like a Venom charger. Or I guess you could change the connections to Traxxas on the battery and the ESC

You mean the 1/16? it has one, but you can put two into it. All of the E Revos can have two batteries.

maaan i cannot wait for the comments to implode. i love this review. ( i own this one and the 1/12 buggy version. like most, you'll want to add some diff fluid, and shock oil. or at least check the oil levels. parts so stupid widely available. i get replacement stuff for it next day from that one retail site.

I dont know anything about them. I looked them up. They look like they are good quality, but are pretty pricey
@@outsourcedrc yes definitely a bit more pricey than wltoys but their components are a massive step up. If a company out there is willing to send you one to demo it would make an awesome series! I don't believe there are too many comparison videos between brands.

I thought they did it just for me, but it turns out, thats just how that version of it comes. They do have a 2 battery version and i think one with no batteries so you can use your own.

A one day run hardly points out whether an RC is good or not. I'm sure even Yugo's ran fine their first day. As for parts availability, I'm not sure about that. I ordered parts for my WL Toys several times because it constantly broke. It took weeks for parts to come in. Good luck.
Well, I usually do follow up reviews on my RC's. I even say that its not fair to just use the first day as how it will do later on. I think I even say in this video, that this is only talking about running it for the first day, and that time will tell if it holds up.

actually that charger is a balance charger...it uses balance plug to charge...yes it takes a few hours...but for the price of this car i would not complain... most guys in the hobby have a good rc charger for there batts anyway..
