You are a beacon that shines brightly. Growing your own food is one of the best things we can do. I love your videos, they get to the point, they are very informative, and it's easy to digest. Haha! Please keep them coming.
Keep up the good work Curtis! I've had a front yard garden for about 7 years and since we started, other neighbours have started front yard gardens too. It's a great way to get people talking. You've inspired me to try the low poly tunnels in the front yard this year. Thanks! I am enjoying your book too.
My grandpap (and many others) used to do all this shit back in the day and it was considered normal and even necessary to eat well or even to eat at all. It's pretty sad that today it's considered "extreme".
You are a 24-month old urinal cake. If you're neighbors piss you or your visitors off because of they way his/her property looks, you have to move somewhere where you have no neighbors. It's all part of living in a neighborhood. If neighbors do not suit your lifestyle, then move to a richer neighborhood or move to the boonies.
Carter Sloan you sound like a medelsoum old man fuck you and your business meetings I really don't think anyone you deal with is like "You see his neighbors yard, yeah, we can't deal with him, his neighbor is utilizing his space efficiently" fucking shmo
I'm sorry, WHAT is your reason for hating on him for growing in his front yard? You need an ACTUAL reason, not just "Oh my vagina hurts and I'm offended" or "I don't like to LOOK at it". Dude get over yourself. People like you, I swear man.
my mom had a victory garden during wwII. after the war, neighbors started stealing so she grew flowers out front and food out back ... we also kept hens out back up untill the early 70s, then the city banned chicken keeping because neighbors complained ... they smile in your face then they hate behind your back
in 1917 it was a federal mandate to have a victory garden and a minimum of 8 chickens if you had a yard of 1/8th of an acre or larger and it has never been repealed or at least I have not been able to find anything showing it was repealed
That's great Curtis, I put a hoop house up in our front yard this year for the home base plant nursery -on a very similar urban street. I now have several requests from neighbours to help them get a tunnel up in their yards. Really like the end bow design @45 and will incorporate on my next cat tunnel. Having two double rows & one walkway would be a good way to offset the cost on such a short tunnel.
If I was your neighbor you could do what ever you want. I would just be thrilled to have someone with a brain and such a good heart living on my street.
",......do whatever you want"? really? Be careful what you wish for, you might just end up with a waste treatment plant next door....that's why they have by-laws and zoning....to prevent people "from doing what they want".....If you allow urban farming, you could end up with someone who wants to keep hogs, on his front lawn.....and believe me, you do NOT want that....I worked on a pig farm, you'd need to wear a gas mask 24/7
Positive Vibrations and from what I see here, Spring is just around the corner and you my good buddy are already for it! Thumbs up and keep on with the IRIE Vibes!
Thanks a ton for the tips. I set up a small tunnel in my garden this month, 18 feet by 6 feet, only to have the wind promptly rip the polly and 3/8 inch by 10 foot pvc hoops from the rebar stakes. I did not rope it down. Now, I may go back to do it right. Also, I will use the 45 degree end hoops and anchors.
Curtis Stone, great job. Thanks for taking the time to show how you put this together it will help me and many others, try to ignore all the negative comments, they will wish they listened some day!
I just started a garden in my front yard and I was worried about my neighbor's reactions. I've been pleasantly surprised to get nothing but positive feedback and to have more interactions with neighbors and even the mailman than ever before. I'm sure they're hoping for a little share of the bounty. ;)
I don't understand why there are so many bad comments. it's obviously a seasonal structure that gets taken down when the climate is better for the plants. no different than putting sheets on your bushes during the winter. he probably share with his neighbors and the garden has its own fresh appeal in that neighborhood. it's a good way to utilize space and cut down on grocery expenses too. if you're anal about what someone else does with their yard you have to much free time. it doesn't look trashy at all. people push tolerance but get angry when someone does something useful. weird.
I love to chat neighbours and people i meet. I used to really find it difficult. Then I realized how much I can learn from everyone around me. I love stories and everyone has a story. If I hear stories about mistakes others make, it helps me not make the same mistakes. Plus if I know someone who has a lot of knowledge about something I'm interested in, I love to chat them. It's actually a great compliment when someone takes time out of their busy day (and we're all busy) to talk to you and take an interest in you. Maybe they just use what you're doing as an excuse to get to know you?
I grew up in a city where (usually) Italian & Asian families grew and continue to, grow magnificent veg gardens right along with flower gardens. I can still remember the taste of beautiful huge tomatoes, zucchini, crisp lettuce and other veg kindly given to my Mum by our neighbours. It is a happy sight when walking about ... people stop to chat, share gardening tips or simply to show appreciation. Just because some people have forgotten what being a neighbour is - doesn't negate people who do.
In response to the title of this video, I'd come ask questions too if you put that stuff up in my neighborhood. I would not call the cops as many Americans may but would actually be rather impressed. As much of an eye sore as it is to my perspective though, you really have to expect neighbors to stop by and bother you with questions; that's normal for now. Good for you on utilizing every square inch of your property to grow food. It is truly something to behold, copy, and spread around. Hopefully one day very soon, my perspective and the majority of our country's perspective, will see this as perfectly normal. Because it should be normal. Thanks for sharing your videos. :-)
First I recognised the housing style, then the mountains and then figured you're probably less than 5 minutes away. Great job, Haven't run in to your channel on here before, but I'll show it some love
Hahaha, today for the first time my neighbors have noticed my tomato plants, I kind of messed up and made a 6x6 bed and its hard to access the middle of my bed and my 11 tomato plants are out of control. But i finally have tomatos growing and my neighbors were very impressed with my little tomato jungle.the plants are about 4 1/2 to 5 feet tall
thanks and guess what happened today, my 6x6 tomato mini jungle just took a beating from high winds :(. I was about to put up a wooden structure up on Saturday my day off, they just grew to fast and outgrew the walmart tomato cages. well now i got a bunch of clones for new plants. that means i get to make a new bed 4x4.
Homer Martinez oh no, sorry to hear that:( you might be able to root some cuttings and get a head start, better than from starting from seeds again (or save money from buying plants). I'm still getting snow where I am but will be starting my seeds soon. I'm looking at making a mini hoop house to extend the season (utah mountains). good luck!
Urban Farmer Curtis Stone - That's great to hear. I was worried they might complain. Though the two who stopped by to chat did seem interested. The garden is looking good!
lucky you can do this!in my town we are not allowed anything on front lawn ,only side of house cant pass corner of house and only from november to march, good job seriously love it!
Grant Peace on Seinfeld they had an episode that had Elane choose the Urban Sombrero for the catalog cover. It was cool thought you would get look it up and have a good chuckle. ok i really want to describe it to you but thats a spoiler alert. k no spoiling by bye-bye
Robert Slackware I live outside the city limits so I don't have to worry about any of that. I can pretty much do whatever I want out here and I don't feel like I'm imposing my lifestyle on everyone around me.
The same people who defend Mr farmer guy would freak the fuck out if I moved in next door to them and painted my house Harley Davidson orange and parked bikes all over my yard.
What aggravates me is when I am trying to a basic home improvement project or even something as simple as cutting the grass and some pesky old man neighbor wants to come up and tell me how I am doing it all wrong. They stand back and watch for around 20 minutes then finally come up and give their 'expert advice'. GTF out of here!
Steve Rahtz -- HOA's are a pain in the butt! However, they are fantastic for keeping the value of the homes relatively high compared to non-HOAs! American homes are extremely expensive and many people will sacrifice a small amount of freedom in order to protect their investment. When purchasing homes that cost over 500k (SoCal avg) you would not want your eccentric neighbors painting their homes pink, purple, green etc... With 3ft weeds growing in the front lawn, flashing neon Coors sign over front door, X-mas lights still up and running in June, with 12 flamingos littered around the front lawn, would you?
RE:Bacnow. And why would you want your property value high? So you can pay more taxes? Or are you planning to move soon? That's why cities have all those property laws so they will have more tax money to waste.
I don't necessarily want them to, no. However, I don't spend more than 5 seconds looking at my neighbors lawns each day. They're hardly even a part of my world. If I get upset about THEIR property, it's because I chose to, not because it ACTUALLY hinders my life in any way. In other words, it's petty to complain about what other people do with THEIR property. If I want to paint my car a million colors and put a spoiler the size of a bookshelf on it, that's my business, because it's MY car. Why should my home be any different? A home is not an investment opportunity. It's a place that you and your family live in. It should be as comfortable as possible for you specifically, not for your neighbors. If you buy a home just so you can make money down the line, you're bad at investing anyway. Houses are the WORST investments you can make.
I'm kinda surprised no one has been all, "That big white blob ruins my view!" But there's not really much view in the flat suburbs anyway. I've known people in other areas to complain about their neighbours painting parts of their houses odd colors. 🤦
It's my fault because I made such a click bait title, most of the viewers aren't subscribers, so they don't get the whole urban farming thing in general.
Yeah it is a click bait title, however it's still a good video, I'm not really into the whole urban farming as I know little to nothing about it, but I do find this really interesting! :)
Just cracked your book down here in Spokane, Curtis. Thanks for all the great vids too! Definitely food for thought. I built a small hoophouse from cattle panels in my front yard, working on what to grow in it now. Thanks man
The self tappers have a recommended rpm for use which is usually low that's why going full rpm doesn't work well and doing a few quick bursts did. When you pull the trigger on the impact it's trying to go from 0-3200rpm when the self tapper needs a slower few hundred rpm to catch the metal and cut through it. A drill that you can control the rpm would be a better suited tool for the job.
So random that I would even see a video of yours. But, there it was sitting on my screen and what drew my attention was the catepillar tube. I've been thinking about one just for shade here in the sunny south. You hooked me with your channel, what you do, and your ability to talk to everyone. Awesome. Milennials must cringe, but I'm se interested in things I never imagined. Thank you. Subscribed, commenting this very moment, rang your bell, threw a thumbs up, and I look forward to the experience. Like picking up a new novel and getting ready to read it.
I think that its very educational and a great example to garden where people can see and learn about self sufficiency again. Most people haven't grown a thing they've eaten in their lives. With the price of food especially healthy organic food being so high more people need to keep gardens to eat healthy.
Owwweee the comment section is a strange place. Ppl drawing parallels to what this guy is doing to having a pig farm in his front garden. Ppl arguing about by-laws and statutes ....who most likely live thousands of miles away...just odd. Anyway love what you're doing. All the best from the U.K
This use to happen at my brothers farm in Ontario all the time, it actually got annoying and time consuming dealing with the "gawkers" so of coarse we made a joke out of it saying pretty loudly "SHOW US YET GAWK!!" Lol great tips and vids btw, I'm not usually one to comment but I can totally relate. Keep up the good work
Every European migrant to Australia in the 50s and 60s would partition their backyards (and sometimes their front) to grow veggies. My mum and dad grew stuff year-round. Their tomatoes were delicious (much better than store bought) and so were their onions, carrots, zucchini, pumpkin and water melons. My mum would cook up veritable feasts from all the veggies but my favourite was when she'd take the pumpkin and zucchini flowers, lightly crumb them and fry them in olive oil. Just yummy!
HI BOB Here. did a lot of pre engineered steel bldgs' 'Like your video so far. just a few things about tech screws, & amps on the gun, First, if you don't have enough muscle [AMPS] At least [4 Amps] more is better. As they torque out, stop & reverse, back out about half the length of the screw. NOW Fowrad gear again. IF it stops again-[RINSE & REPEAT] a few times should do the trick. Also not a very good shot at what im guessing is a hardened steel screw with close threads callled a STUCTURAL SCREW. Great for connecting solid steel up to about 1/2". A drill [ESPICALLY] a cordless is a handy tool to have around. BUT, you need muscle . Most only have high R.P.M. 's High speed, low torque. Good for drywall, No good for steel. GREAT PROJECT. Hope I could help some. RESPOND PLEASE & THANK'S [RABID BOB]
Great video, I just found your channel and it looks like it may be really helpful to us as we grow our little homestead in the city. I would worry about people ruining my garden if I had it in our front yard. Do you ever have any trouble with that?
MiniSteading i I've found lining the perimeter with taller flowers helpful(cosmos can grow especially tall with a bit of manure)plus it brings in beneficial insects
Great video. Your blessed that your neighbors don't say anything with the caterpillar in front of your house. They would in my neighborhood. In fact many towns/cities no longer allow gardens in the front yard and some the back.
I clicked on your video due to the title. When I had seen your neighbors asking you questions, I thought this guy is an ass, I would stop and want to talk to you and ask questions, and he's calling them PESKY!!!!. I was about to click to something else, but then you said you like to chat, and I thought this guy is OK and I subbed to your channel. I watched and thought, I wishI had neighbors like that, thanks for sharing
I'm noticing a lot of people telling this guy to move to the country if he wants to grow his own food. Incase you guys haven't noticed, rural areas get absorbed by cities every day and as a result, become subject to city ordinances. Sure it may take a while but I can almost guarantee that even if he lived in a more rural area, some guy would eventually be knocking on his door telling him it's against city ordinances to have x, y, and z on his property.
This happens in agricultural land all of the time. Watch my video "Everything I want to do is illegal" and i'll tell you about a specific case with that as well.
Love the technique you showed us on this video. Infarct, I may build something like this next fall with another smaller hoop tunnel inside it to get a bit more growing season in zone 4. Blessings.
Dude this is coming from a guy who has done carpenter for 35 years, always, always get the 18 volt drill, the battery last and gives so much more power, Milwaukee the best and will keep for 30 years or more!! Good luck!!
When I was younger my mom used to have this amazing garden in our back yard with carrots, tomatoes, raspberries, blackberries, onions, figs, etc. But I had this stupid neighbor who, no matter what we told her, would drain her pool (filled with chlorine and the usual pool chemicals) which would travel down all into our garden because of the way the land was angled. She ruined our whole garden and eventually we just had to give up and fill in everything with dirt again. We wanted to strangle her because she not only did this kind of stupid stuff, but anything that went onto her yard was immediately hers, frisbees, balls, anything. Her house even caught fire once because she was dumb enough to throw her cigarette onto her giant wooden porch. What an idiot!
Just found your channel...Pretty sure i can learn a few things here ..I live in Northern BC I wish my yard was as clear as yours we are still under 3ft of snow great info thanks
You are so fortunate to live in that community I live in a very rural area so no issues here with what I do on my property but so many Urban areas have hundreds of you can't do that rules. I've got to do some research on these Caterpillar tunnels I have a 16X20 hoop house but might be able to find room for one of these.
Very Canadian neighbors. It's a complete gamble to try something like this in suburbs here. I know where my mother lives any time she did anything the neighbors were calling someone. Hopeing my neighbors don't mind my yard conversion soon, though I don't plan to go quite as industrial.
When using thin walled material like that, get the same mechanical head screw, but look for a self piercing tip, not self tapping. Self tapping screws make a hole that removes material. Piercing ones do not, they just spread the material and give you more to bite. I came across them while doing HVAC work. Guys like to use them because unlike the screws you're using in this video, which remove too much material to work well in wood, (if you're strapping a conduit to a beam) they pierce into pretty much any material really nice an tight. One screw fits all kinda thing, but it actually works very well! Look for really pointy self piercing screws with the machine head you like.. Try them out, you'll thank me later. :D

Here you go! See how pointy they are? These go right through those galvanized steel tubes mate. Plus Unlike self tappers, they work really well in plastic or wood. fdfinc.net/screws/hex-washer-head-sheet-metal-screw-sharp-point-8-x-1-2-1-000-pack/?gclid=CjwKEAjwh9PGBRCfso2n3ODgvUcSJAAhpW5opmN1c2pa7Jk6MLoFOJk1MrRKosxR4pSf6bn88avylBoCBYLw_wcB

I didn't know the HOA was taking to RUclips now. If I was his neighbor I would love to see someone making use of their land. You all need to fill your time with happier and more productive things than looking at your neighbors yards all day.
If I were to do that in my front yard, I would plant Italian cypress along the front of the property to block seeing the caterpillar greenhouse in my front yard.
I noticed the changes...I was quite comfortable with the home bar having "recent activity" don't like that change, nor the comment mechanics. they're really mucking things up, I think.
Heh! I wanted to put a greenhouse (poly tunnel) in front of the house and it was my wife who said "NO!" By the same token, my neighbor (we're both on 2.5 acres) mapped out his property for the view of the San Juan islands, as did I. He has put all his trash at the side of his property, behind a wall of trees where he can't see it from his house, but where I see it from the front of my house. Abandoned cars, crap shoved into a lean-to shed made of scrap wood, rodent infested ... I debated with myself for a year about what to do - and finally just put up a nice privacy hedge with pyramidalis. He can do what he wants on his side of the property and all I see is a dense row of attractive trees. On the other hand, IF he'd put up a nice garden, I'd have enjoyed seeing that when I drive up to my home or sit on the porch. It's the careless and inconsiderate 'garbage' factor that is offensive. It was just easier for me to deal with my own offense with my neighbor by planting a privacy hedge.
We make ours by driving in a star picket post either side and then loop over a piece of agriculture poly pipe. 10 years now we have the same warm house except for the covering.
Ever thankful for your inspiration. Managed to farm all the food I needed last year and reallocate all the money saved to start my farm. How much capital did you have to start with? I should be able to reallocate 10 000 by the end of this summer. Should I do the same for another year and save a buffer or start part time?
Must be so nice to be living in a neighborhood where there's no association mobsters and you are free to do whatever you want in your yard your own house.
Question about wind. Does it help to face the tunnels a specific way (NS or EW)? I CANNOT keep my tunnels covered in the winter and spring. the wind is brutal! Help!
For neighbors that complain about the large plastic greenhouse you put up in the front yard, simply park some beat up non-running vehicles on cinder blocks without wheels around it. Toss in some old bathtubs, piles of tires, and other debris and call it 'urban art'. Then it is creative and community focused. Neighbors cannot complain about artwork installations, right?
I know hey. All these haters don't realize that that shit happens all the time and it's the same thing. I'm at least growing food, plus the greenhouse will be down in a month or so.
In VA it is illegal to grow a garden in your front yard. You may or may not get in trouble for growing " in public view" , depending on how your neighbors react. 🙄☹️
hard to say how I feel about it. I think most of us still have the idea that a front yard should be presented with nice green grass. But in this age of water shortages, and such, a green grass yard may just be a sign to people that you dont care. Changing the grass to usable products, may it be flowers or vegetables is not a bad idea, but it certainly can make a neighborhood less desired for people that wish things to look pretty.
If i did that in my front yard i would be kicked out of the neighborhood. Not only does it look like shit but people don't wanna see that even if it is growing food and doing good things.
All the positive feedback from people who aren't your neighbors has inspired me to raise pigs on my lot but I'll do that in my back yard. I'm thinking of slaughtering and butchering them in my driveway because it slopes towards the storm drain and there's better lighting there. Any advice?

Nunya Biznis your a twit it ain't considered extreme it is a freaking garden.
Curtis you are the man. Please keep it up. A Canadian classic for sure.
Thank you
If I was your neighbor I'd probably be spying all day to get my own gardening ideas lol keep up the great work !
The artistic gardener kinda comes off in a way not good
see cant even describe it
hes from edmonton i think
my mom had a victory garden during wwII. after the war, neighbors started stealing so she grew flowers out front and food out back ... we also kept hens out back up untill the early 70s, then the city banned chicken keeping because neighbors complained ... they smile in your face then they hate behind your back
you got that right

I thought you were upset but looks like everyone was cool. Your front yard and your neighbors front yard are quite a contrast!

+Shawn Guffey I've been working out in the front yard a lot this week and every single person who walks by, compliments me on it.
Fantastic! I really hope it will be normal one day very soon.
It's a temporary tunnel anyways. It'll be down by mid May.
Pretty sure most americunts would come up with neighborhood association and ban him from doing stuff on his own land
Wow dude that's kind of harsh

Extremism is NOT growing some of your own food.
Extremism is telling someone they shouldn't or can't.
I just don't understand the dumbass living in a close neighborhood if he wants to play farmer.
Grant Peace on Seinfeld they had an episode that had Elane choose the Urban Sombrero for the catalog cover.
It was cool thought you would get look it up and have a good chuckle.
ok i really want to describe it to you but thats a spoiler alert.
k no spoiling
by
bye-bye
Grant Peace Soooo what if I had 6 gigs in my backyard feet from your home? Would that be ok? Because, after all, I'll " Urban Farmer Man" !!
Thank you so much! I'm a retired scientist and need to supplement my income. You are an inspiration!!
What aggravates me is when I am trying to a basic home improvement project or even something as simple as cutting the grass and some pesky old man neighbor wants to come up and tell me how I am doing it all wrong. They stand back and watch for around 20 minutes then finally come up and give their 'expert advice'. GTF out of here!
living just outside city limits gives us more freedom on our property. I especially hated living in an HOA community!
As a non-american, I just can understand people agreeing to HOAs
I think you mean *can't* understand, right?
Gotta be a good story behind that "one time in my first year" neighbor that gave you a hard time.
Maybe I'll make a video on that one.
I'm kinda surprised no one has been all, "That big white blob ruins my view!"
But there's not really much view in the flat suburbs anyway. I've known people in other areas to complain about their neighbours painting parts of their houses odd colors. 🤦
I don't understand why anyone would actually say "You can't do that" I'm amazed you'd have a single person say it.
Great video Curtis!!! Looking forward to coming to class!!!
This is the best low tek greenhouse I’ve ever seen. Nice job on this one
+Zannnnah I know hey. First world problems ;)
Keep up the good work
grant hrr hand them shovels, they might as well be useful;)
Keep doing what your doing and don't mind the haters brother.
This area is popping dude. So many people out and about.
Good stuff! Great video information. THANKS!
I'm sure your neighbors love looking at you're yard
All I hear is compliments from my neighbours, so yes, they do actually.
Just found your channel...Pretty sure i can learn a few things here ..I live in Northern BC I wish my yard was as clear as yours we are still under 3ft of snow great info thanks
Wow. You have nice neighbors. I know people would get pissed off in a lot of places. Prob call the cops to complain. Glad you dont get much trouble.
Hehe that's so cool how his entire front yard is a just a farm field. Wish to see more cool stuff like this in teh city.
You were not going to make your most viewed video? Well here ya go!
This is great Curtis, so helpful. Thanks!!! From Nova Scotia
You are so fortunate to live in that community I live in a very rural area so no issues here with what I do on my property but so many Urban areas have hundreds of you can't do that rules. I've got to do some research on these Caterpillar tunnels I have a 16X20 hoop house but might be able to find room for one of these.
They do exist in Kelowna, they're called "neighbourhood associations"
Thankfully they mostly keep themselves to the rich areas on the hills.
Very Canadian neighbors. It's a complete gamble to try something like this in suburbs here. I know where my mother lives any time she did anything the neighbors were calling someone. Hopeing my neighbors don't mind my yard conversion soon, though I don't plan to go quite as industrial.
Can't wait to see it full of plants!

Wow! Your channel is about to GROW really big, you my friend are a positive figure in the community. Keep up the awesome work. Subscribed!!!
I didn't know the HOA was taking to RUclips now. If I was his neighbor I would love to see someone making use of their land. You all need to fill your time with happier and more productive things than looking at your neighbors yards all day.
+Brandon B totally!
Imagine living next to this guy, who the hell does this in the front of their house, I can't believe it is not destroyed the next day. WOW!
It's because Canadians are cool and Americans would be saying you can't do that in MY neighborhood.
David Shelton . not all Americans act or think like that.
If I were to do that in my front yard, I would plant Italian cypress along the front of the property to block seeing the caterpillar greenhouse in my front yard.
I have 0 idea what bell you are talking about to get notifications. Reckon I am not alone in this.
pop9095 its right next to the SUBSCRIBE(D) button.
Yww - Not on my screen, though I appreciate the attempt.
So, your immediate neighbors are fine with a greenhouse in the front yard!? Good for you.
I noticed the changes...I was quite comfortable with the home bar having "recent activity" don't like that change, nor the comment mechanics. they're really mucking things up, I think.
City code enforcement allowed you to put that thing in the front yard? I am surprised.
They sure did. Watch and learn cities of the world ;)
it's 3am. why the hell am I watching this guy build a greenhouse.
fun video though
First time I've seen someone growing in their front garden!! We would never get away with that in England LOL. Fair play to you
Neighbors talking to neighbors?! Good God! Sounds like a nice community. :-)
very nice, thanks for this diy video. :)
Thanks for the bell tip!
thanks for the tips! I really want a garden green house to grow a garden in too!!
It is neighbour not neighbor. It is good to see Curtis Stone can spell properly.
Spoiler alert- the neighbours don't care.
Thats awesome to have such cool neighbors!
Lol I love how we Canadians hassle. "oh wow you really know what'yer doing there, eh?"
I just had to look up what a Robertson screw was. Learning every day.
Love your videos, Curtis!!!
I would think a lot of people would complain, great that they don't :-)
You've got great neighbors!
Too bad all people aren't as positive about front yard gardens!
Ever thankful for your inspiration. Managed to farm all the food I needed last year and reallocate all the money saved to start my farm. How much capital did you have to start with? I should be able to reallocate 10 000 by the end of this summer. Should I do the same for another year and save a buffer or start part time?
keegan graham buffers with farming never hurt.
That's awesome. What is the smallest poly tunnel you can build? Just three "ribs"? Thinking about something like this for my side yard.
I don't see why not. I'm going to try a 25' one next.
Can't say I'd want to look at that mess out my front window. But that's what HOAs are for. We can't even have a garden in our back yards.
your neighbors seem nice... mine are pesky, always knockin' on my door asking for charity [ie. free technician] 😮
Must be so nice to be living in a neighborhood where there's no association mobsters and you are free to do whatever you want in your yard your own house.
+WV591 free within reason.
hay thanks for the youtube knowledge. I was wondering why I was seeing NOTHING I'd subscribed to.
I would really question putting something like that in the front yard.
it's like your begging people to say something.
Very well done... and killed it with the intermitten tunes!
I'm pretty open minded, but I'd hate to live in an area with a bunch of unsightly junk in their front yard.
So would I. Greenhouses aren't junk though. Their food producing temporary structures.
I can't even leave my trashcan in the driveway one day post collection or I get a letter from the HOA.
Any advice?
+rocr62 hilarious. Have fun with that.
