Hey, just a little tip... when making projects with multiple skeins, pay attention to Lot numbers/ codes. Matching Lot numbers will keep medios like Paige's mandala sweater problem. The same dye lots are dyed the same exact way with the same formulas so it's more consistent in color and gradients.
Thank you very much, apart from spending time to shoot and edit the video for spending the time trying to find tutorial videos, schemas, and if none free/paid patterns. You are really helpful 😍 I think, my crochet hobby will finally force me to loose weight, cause I want to crochet dresses and trousers etc but they won't look that good when I am overweight 😅
you can check the dye lot number on the yarn's label to make sure colors match. the slight differences between dye batches unfortunately can show, especially in bigger pieces like clothes and blankets.
We need the Christmas gifts ideas projects video!! I feel like I need to start now with them or I will never be able to give them on time😂😂😂 I love your videos!!! ❤❤❤
Thank you very much for this video, I have been watching a lot of your videos lately and was searching for a fall sweater pattern, so this video was really perfect for inspiration. Loved it!🥰
The trick with Mandala yarn and similar type self striping yarns such as Caron Cakes, Hobby Lobby Sugar Wheel is to do what they call control color I believe. Basically you deconstruct the yarn, cutting and winding each color stripe separately and use that way. The reason you didn't get an exact match on the striping, even despite the dye lot being the same is because when the yarns are dyed to begin with at the factory they are dyed in long huge lengths of yarn, that actually cake up into many hundreds of cakes for each dye lot. When caked up after the dye is dry, where they start and begin is going to be different with each cake. So the only way to get the perfect match is to color control. I hope that made sense.
Hey Paige! Could your next clothing video be✨️ Christmas themed✨️? It takes awhile to make crochet clothing, and I think it'd be nice to start early! 😅 Love the video❤🍂
Hi girlie!! Love your videos, but i just wanted to say something: i think that when you make these type of videos, you should add a number for each project, so that when we go to the description its easier to find! Just a suggestion! LOVE YOUR VIDS
I love your hexagon cardigan. Did you do a tutorial on it. I love the yarn you used. What specific Mandela did you use ? Is there a pattern for it? I want the ribbing on the sleeves and the bottom of the cardigan. Yours looks like that’s the way you made it ? Please get back with me on the questions. Love all the sweaters you are showing.😀😀❤️❤️
Hi, omg i love all of these ideas, especially the patchwork cardigan they're soooo cute, i was also wondering if you could make a crochet friends tv show ideas video :)
Hi paige! I know it has just been halloween and fall is still here, but could you please do a christmas or christmas market video as i am preparing for a market and need to start early. Thank you so so soooooo much i love your videos! Bye bye
I have the exact same problem with mandali yarn I made a giant granny square blanket and I just kept going and made like 1 giant granny square and I wanted it all be cohesive so I had to keep cutting the yarn and tying it make it somewhat look cohesive
I am not sure, but I do not think the problem is with the yarn being dyed differently. I think they are "cut" differently. One skein/ball probably started with a longer section of the yellowish color which means it will end with the totality of the last color, while the second skein probably started with a shorter section of yellowish color and therefor ending with a bit of that. That is just my theory. When using yarn like the mandala you can color control. There are different methods of this but an easy way is to cut all the colors and make them into separate skeins/balls and then you can make sure you are using the same amount of rows of each color for both sides of a hexicardigan.
Yarn dyes are so finicky lol that’s why you want to buy yarn for one project from the same dye lot so that you know that the colours will be the best match
Thank you Paige. But please keep posting written patterns. Some of us Neurospicy people can't follow videos. Like me. Unless they put the pattern up on the screne.
You don't have to limit yourself to written patterns only, because some videos unfortunately don't have written patterns linked or in the description. You can make that written pattern yourself. I keep a book of patterns where I go though the video and write down the verbalize pattern/instructions and little tips they may have, that way I can go at my own pace without having to always refer to the video when I need to move on to my next step. It's not the quickest thing, but now you have that pattern forever and if it's a design you want that desperately then the transcription would be worth it.
@@sweetnlo13 my brain doesn't work that way. It is so hard for me to follow. I have tried. ADHD, C-PTSD, and undiagnosed Autism. My brain flips me off when I try.
@krisares6396 I have adhd as well, but I have always been more of an auditory learner (probably because i'm an aphant. But I digress), so maybe that's why it's a little easier for me. I know ASD can affect one's auditory processing or verbal instructions with a lot of stimuli around, like with adhd while I'm not sure how c-ptsd would affectprocessingof verbal instructions. At the end of the day, whenever I get frustrated with myself for having to play the video at half speed, or listen to a section 50 million times because my memory can barely hold water, I remind myself that it's just the accommodation that I need to complete this task.
