A Walk through of AlphaTricks FontManager

- We’ve known that many of you own AlphaTricks specifically to help organize your fonts. Usually that’s been done through renaming. We know it’s an unwieldy way to manage anything. Now, you can tag your fonts - this means they can be discovered by any category, using the category names you choose. One of the biggest challenges of this was to make the font catalog into a file that you can take from system to system as you copy your fonts, but we’ve achieved it. Even going across the Mac/Win divide, you can keep your Font Catalog organization.
Size also plays a big factor (oh, pun!) in selecting fonts, so there’s a Size filter, too. The sizes do overlap a bit, but with just a bit of looking, you can narrow in on what you want. By adding this size filter, your scrolling will be reduced. You don’t even need to create size categories of your own. You will anyway, just because you’re all teenagers at heart, but you don’t need to.
How about finding things by font creator? Yes, they’re in their own list, shown based on the names the designers use to install their fonts. They’re also sorted by native and imported, as the advanced features available with native fonts are becoming increasingly popular.

This is so awesome! Unfortunately, I had to re-download the newest version of Embrilliance to see this upgrade. I tried the update feature and it told me it was up to date, however, it was still showing version 1.72 instead of 1.76.1. Can't wait to use this upgrade!

I do not see the Aa box when I highlight a font. What setting do I need to change? I have Alpha Tricks
Download and install the update from our downloads page www.Embrilliance.com/downloads
you will need to reopen Embrilliance to see the change
I can pull (most) any font - BX or not - in AlphaTricks and map to keyboard? If a have a non-BX font, say from I2S or Designs by JuJu, saved on my font folder, I pull thru AlphaTricks, map it to keyboard and it will show up in my font list in Embrilliance? I'm trying to wrap my head around this amazing option.

Although I have Alpha tricks, I do not have the AB button that you are showing in order to get to the font manager. What do I need to do in order to access the font manager

I feel stupid. Once I have selected a font, then see the preview in my software, when I click ok, the selected font goes away.....help?

You didn't waste the money for Alpha Tricks. It is a great program.
I am sure videos will be made on this update, as all of us have these same frustrations. Google RUclips for Alpha Tricks and you will find lots already and more to come for this upgrade.
Edited my post as I realize I was not on Embrilliance website oops
I have an Embrilliance file on my laptop where I "store" all my BX fonts after they have been loaded. Is there a way to dovetail both these lists to know that all are loaded? I seem to have more showing in my laptop file that I have loaded in Embrilliance. I could manually check them but this is really time consuming.
Not sure what you are asking. If you install a BX you get the confirmation screen telling you how many were installed.
Since a BX file can contain multiple fonts and design collections, what you are asking doesn’t make sense or won’t work.
