We join in celebrating #WomenWhoCurie Day, in honor of Marie Curie’s birthday. On this special day, we celebrate the amazing women across the world who treat people with cancer using radiation therapy and the amazing team members that make vital contributions to patient care. We also want to increase awareness of radiation oncology as a fantastic specialty for female medical students who are interested in oncology.
Based off the recent #ILookLikeAnEngineer and #ILookLikeASurgeon social media campaign, the #WomenWhoCurie & #WeWhoCurie campaign looks to break stereotypes in traditionally male-dominated fields by encouraging women to take a picture capturing what it means to work in radiation oncology.
