Come join me in the preparations for a very special event at the cabin!

Marloes
Recipe:
175g butter
300g brown sugar (I used 250 as I don’t like cakes being too sweet)
3 eggs
10cl milk
275g flour
1/2 sachet baking powder
2 very ripe pears
100g dark chocolate
pinch of salt
Melt the butter and mix with the sugar and eggs. Add the milk and mix. Add the flour, baking powder and salt and mix.
Preheat the oven to 180 celsius and grease a baking tin. Peel and cut the pears in small pieces. Grate the chocolate and add both to the mixture. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Leave to cool on a rack before cutting the cake.

My husband proposed to me in his pick up truck in the parking lot of Baskin Robbins Ice Cream shop. It wasn’t fancy or traditional, but we’re still happily together 37 years later. 😊

Romance and Love is in the air. You have provided this special couple with the perfect setting to commit to one another. SO BEAUTIFUL! You never forgot a thing. ❤ I love the bridge they have in France where couples attach a padlock to it as a symbol of their love for one another. You should get Olav to erect a mini Eiffel tower where your visitors can attach a lock to comemorate their commitment for one another. You could have the lock engraved for them and give them the keys as a souvenir of that special moment. They can revisit you on special anniversaries and see their lock of love.
You guys have created the perfect space for a romantic getaway. I can see why you have so many proposals and honeymoons at your cabin. I love your attention to detail Marloes, so beautiful. Also Tigrette is so cute in front of the fireplace.

My Husband had invited his sister.neice and cousin down for a Christmastime visit just before new years eve. We were going to go antique shopping in my favorite quaint town but at last minute sister& niece said they were tired and would stay home so we left with cousin. On our return I noticed our neighbor had many cars in her drive and I was told she was having a party. I walked into the house and was met with a surprise party. I greeted everyone still clueless as to why they were there and then turned to my prehusband and he knelt on one knee and opened a ring box and asked if I would marry him. I replied, " In a heartbeat". That was 36 years ago.

My husband proposed to me on a sunset frozen beach Lake McConaughey it was so beautiful. The sky was so beautiful and of course I said yes January 1982.

Such a beautiful setting for lovely proposal. I am much older and been divorced for many years. I still wish I had had the "perfect" proposal. On a hillside, with a picnic basket. Enjoying the sounds of nature. To feel ultimate love from another person asking to marry me. In reality, I will not marry again. Never too old to dream.. 😊

Wat een leuk verhaal, al die gelukkig koppeltjes in jullie cabin. Ik ben ten huwelijk gevraagd in een Frans kasteel in de buurt van Reims. Hij had een prachtig liefdesgedicht geschreven en de volgende dag zijn we in Reims ringen gaan kopen. Helaas eindigde ons huwelijk 5 jaar geleden in een nare scheiding, maar je mag duimen, want onlangs heb ik een bijzonder lieve man ontmoet en misschien.....

Dat zag er lekker uit Marloes, ok ga mijn oudste dochter eens vragen of ze dat recept kan vertalen (HAVO 4 2e x dus dat zal wel lukken) dan gaan we dat samen een keertje proberen. Leuk.
Succes met de badkamer en het ongemak de komende week. Een ouderwetse onderschuif onder je bed zetten.😂 Door de kou naar de wc is ook niet fijn.
haha ja! Lang leve de plasemmer! Tot nu toe redden we het prima maar anders pak ik mijn emmer uit de bus die ik altijd meeneem in mijn “camper” 😊
