I love watching the entire process! If someone had told me that this 64 year old grandma would be addicted to watching fishing videos, I would have said they were crazy!🐠🐠🐟🐟🥰
Your not old, you are 64 years young. .)
Relaxing
Wow! Thanks for joining us. We are so glad you enjoy the content. Before long we will be filleting and freezing our own catch. Can’t wait to bring you all along!
Got a little sea sick watching this one. The bad weather can take the fun out of it quick.
It was pretty snotty out there toward the end of our trip. We weren't having much fun toward the end, lol.
Ohhh no the weather is not good wave Soo big 🌊🌊 keep safe and God bless you all
Len, that looks says it all LOL. (7:25) Mornings around a harbor before things start up for the day are so nice and peaceful. Nice load of 🐟 guys. Really enjoy watching your family appreciate one another.
Thanks
Great edit. 👍👍
Lol! Thanks Ralf glad you enjoyed it.
The Fishtale Two man rock n roll....good video guys... Blessings on you and family....
We were definitely rock n rolling that day, lol. It was fun while it lasted, then the tangle took it out of us.
Wow Nice fish Great job Thanks for sharing 👍
Now that I've discovered y'alls RUclips channel I'm playing catch up, so to speak; watching videos from over a year ago or so, they're new to me and I LOVE 'em!!! You All worked GREAT together, like a finely tuned engine, a well oiled machine, what a Pleasure it is for me, I'm Addicted!!! Thanks to the entire family!!! I don't know your last names, nor do I know the husband/dad's/skippers 1st name???
I also was curious as to whether there were any more children, besides Matt and "T?"
Hi Jimmie. Thanks for joining us! Len and Anita - dad and mom. Matt and Tristen have an older sister. Her name is Traci.
New episode! Awesome! Keep them coming! Stay safe EIS crew on the blue! holy tangle batman!! sheesh lol :) getting nautical! love it :) Nice haul of fish there! Lots of good eating!
Thanks! It was a good end to the trip aside from that dang tangle, lol.
@@EISAlaska Yeah that tangle was epic lol glad you got it sorted out!
Thank You for the video!!!! Looks like you needed your Sea leg's 😁. We appreciate all of the hard work you put into your video's and sharing the trip's with us!!!!
Thanks for watching! It was a bit tough to keep our footing toward the end, lol.
It's nice to see a couple holding hands after many years of being married. I hold my wife's hand when we take our daily walk and we've had a lot of younger couples comment that we act like a couple teenagers. We just laugh and tell them they should try it.
Thank you so much for your kind comment William, we too hear the same from others about holding hands,we’re truly blessed to have each other☺️ Have a wonderful day and take good care.
I know how hard it is working for your dad but you two make it look easy keep the faith good luck
I just keep watching over & over. Love it, so calming.
That is a nice load of fish.
Great video. Thanks!
The way Fish Tale was rolling kind of remined me of some of the deadliest catch episodes. Great video.
Nice haul... 👍👏
I love watching your videos. Keep them coming
Thank you! Will do!
One thing I’d like to see explained is how his release the fish from the hooks using the hand hook and twisting. Is there a spring clamp or something that releases the hook? That might be something you could show a close up on.
@@nhmountains5683 We'll do that next time! Thanks for the suggestion.
Great catch guys, hope your luck keeps going strong, cheers guys love your work

Wow, Alot of work involved!
Matt loves his Dad and looks after him
Hey Matt your brother bony look happy helping with the unloading
He's having a great time!
Did that nice new boat bring you all good fishing luck or are you just breaking in the boat. Roger
We're hoping it does! However, this is just a catch up video from earlier this spring. We'll have some more fishing content from this fall soon.
Love he videos, live in central Fla, grew up in commercial fishing family. Looking forward to a vacation to Alaska to do some recreational fishing. Take care and keep up the good work.
Awesome, should be a fun trip once you go! Take care Bubbletrail.
So cool! Those wakes, wow!
Great video as always boys. BTW, what type of fishing do you enjoy the most?
Watching Matt holding the knife while the boat is swaying hard and the floor is slippery made me uneasy. 😰😰😰 Take good care always!
Yeah, I try to minimize my movements if at possible, I'm pretty careful though. Thanks Dee!
@@EISAlaska Im with Dee on that one.
Thanks for yet another awesome video!!!
Our pleasure! Happy to share with you all.
from Morocco i like watch you big LIKE
That mess looked like a cut and start over one. LOL Great job of getting it all undone! Cant wait to see how you all set up the new boat. and how it takes the weather!
Yeah the bad tangles have been getting us good this year! Pain in the butt.
You might look into a beaver skinning knife to use on rough days it’s round end won’t stab anyone if you happen to fall with it
True! It's a lot more sketchy than I remember it being. We don't normally fish in this kind of water for long.
Great camera work
Thanks 👍
Love your videos 💕
GOOD job
This is really great video
Nice videos 👍 wish I could fish
🤔 I hope it's not rude of me to ask?.. But what did that magnificent haul weigh?.. 🤷♂️ You guys never tell... 😢
Hi Hermit. If I recall correctly, just shy of 10K.
@@EISAlaska 👍
Great haul, shame that swell crept up on you! Len, be careful too, that fish almost tripped you up in the first minute.
Yeah, things got real floppy there toward the end!
Love the videos! When you are off loading; what are the darker smaller fish that are set off to the side? Do you use it for bait???
I think those were some rockfish bycatch we caught. We had them processed and sold as well!
Nice work guys, when are you going out with the new boat?
Not sure yet, we're currently in project mode. Hopefully this fall but we'll just have to see!
Nailed it!!!
Man, I should have taken my Dramamine before this one!
I've heard on shows like those crabbing videos from the past couple of decades that if you go overboard in Alaska, that thee likelihood of survival is: 1. Dependent on the gear, 2. The time in the frigid water, and 3. The hopes that your rain gear doesn't cause you to sink and drown (this should be probably #1). Can you add to this at all? We all know the work is dangerous and every year here in Washington we here of at least one boat and fishermen losing their lives. No one likes to think about this and often fishermen don't want to comment on something like this as not to foretell of their own demise, so don't comment if you don't feel like it.
Survival time is short. Rarely over 45 minutes and reality is half that time. shock and hypothermia set in quickly!
Have you got 2 boats? You just motored a different boat with the roof on the back decks in the last couple episodes?
Yep! That is our new boat we just sailed back to Kodiak from Juneau.
@@EISAlaska nice one, I will visit Alaska one day, I would like to catch a halibut
Nice catch guys. What was the final weight?
Thanks! It was around 9000 if I recall correctly.
Ball of snots!
Matt is such a great son and partner.
Thanks Billy, we make a great team over here. Couldn't do it without the rest of them.
With three guys, why don't you install two more "rods" on the starboard side?
For the size of our deck 4 jiggers is pretty much all we can handle. Things would become too complicated, and more tangles would likely happen if we added more. With the bigger boat there is a possibility that we will add more jiggers though.
Good haul and thanks for posting.
I bet Matt has no trouble if he has a skin full . My ass would have been stuck on the floor.
What percentage of landed and processed fish are sellable to consumers?
What happens to the rest?
Hey Steve. Depending on time of year recovery is 20% - 25% (boneless/ skin off fillets). Early winter they fish are full of milt and roe. It goes into secondary markets. Heads are often utilized also. The skin, offal and bones go to the biodry, a facility that turns it into fish meal.
Len, I may have missed it, but are you going to outfit your new troller for all the fisheries you have licenses for or?
Hi Gary. Yes we will. We are working on her now, going through more mechanical and getting the deck setup. We will have some videos up before to long bringing everyone along as we make changes to fit our needs and fisheries.
USA USA Let’s Go!!!
Do the frames have any value, I imagine they would be good for crab pots?
I get nervous watching Matt walking close to that low rail. Be careful Matt.
The other video they were jumping in the boat!!!
Now you have the new boat what are you going to do with the fish tell
We're keeping the Fish Tale! We'll be doing the same things, but a lot easier to work the big boat in certain fisheries.
What are the chances of seeing thee inside operation of the processing plant on a video?
Most plants don't like folks filming on their premises. We respect that and the folks working there as we don't want to invade their privacy. That said we hope to be processing and freezing our catch on the Emerald Isle later this summer and we will bring everyone along!
Enjoy your show , which clan r yous?
hi, was wundern if u would have stayed out with new boat in swells, if lines were producing decent
Probably not for much longer, the weather that evening was coming up fast. I imagine it would have been workable for awhile but we're still not ones to scoff at an East 30.
Are you guys going to fish both boats or are have you sold Fish Tales??
We're keeping the Fish Tale! We'll be doing the same old, but easier to do seining and crabbing on the big boat.
how much do you make from a tripp like this??

Hi EJ. Fire away. We will do our best to answer your questions. Thanks for joining us!
I'd love to be able to airfreight some of that cod and Blackrockfish whole down to Atl for my restaurant, but probably too cost prohibitive.
Hi Eugene. We would love to supply your restaurant with cod and rockfish. Shipping for 100 pounds of seafood to Atlanta via Alaska Air Cargo runs about $135. If you would like more info drop us a line at sales@eisalaska.com. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
DO you guys ever use a doodle bug pad on clean up ?
I hadn’t heard of those before so I googled it. Looks like the 3M pads in green and brown. We do use the green ones. They clean surfaces very well!
Fish tail is like a 🍾 cork
Boa tarde.
Como é por dentro desse barco.
Awesome video I definitely would love to see the numbers on that catch And I was wondering did you keep any fish for yourself
We usually keep a couple for dinner, can't beat fresh fish!
Some nice coddling getting.caught but when your hooks and bait get tangled it can be a mess2 unravel.espicially in a.swell Do you not use a priest 2 kill fish once.out of water? A.great.video 2 watch in northern ireland
Why don't you clean the cod fish I see you gut the rock and halibut ?
How much are your crabs going for
Cabin boy
No Thank You for the great video . What would some of the larger cod you caught weigh , 10 - 15 lbs. ?
Yeah, there were some lunkers in there! Beautiful fish.
