You are smart. This world is overly focused on wealth, success, pleasure, activity. But none of these give us lasting fulfillment. Spending time in nature, being with a community, raising a family. These are the things that feed our souls.
This was so calming to watch. The landscape where you live is breathtaking and serene. I knew at the age of 17 I wanted to live in a small town. I grew up in a mid-sized city and I didn't like it. All my friends were making plans to move to larger cities. I got married 2 weeks after my 20th birthday and we moved to a very rural area, that was 37 years ago. We traded sirens and traffic noise for birds singing and chirping. There are two owls that hoot at night right outside the window just when I am turning in to sleep. This is where I belong. 🦉
I felt the same way. I hate the fast moving city. It can be fun to travel to occasionally but I know I wouldn’t wanna live there. Doesn’t fit my personality
I live in a rural area. The houses are too close together but our property backs up to a state park, so we get to share our backyard with all kinds of wildlife. While baking bread today, I watched the snow fall and the birds, squirrels and bunnies share the nuts, seeds and veggie scraps I threw out for them to feast on. As an anxious person, it was calming for me, and also a reminder of how blessed and abundant I am. I feel very fortunate to live where I do. I love your beautiful videos. The scenery in this one is quite spectacular and breathtaking. Your videos are also a wonderful reminder for me to appreciate what I have. Thank you very much.

Gorgeous! It has a Victorian feel to it. You have a knack of capturing the beauty of the areas you portray. 21 years ago we bought 13 acres in a rural area and built a house. We moved from the suburbs to here. There's 200 acres behind us that is in a conservancy, therefore it will not be developed. We are far away from the noise of town and traffic and can clearly hear our hummingbirds on our porch feeders. Stage 1 was moving, but continuing with our careers. When Covid hit we entered Stage 2, where we were able to telework from the coziness of our home 90% of the time. We are entering Stage 3, where we will retire in a few months. We will tend to out neglected gardens and pursue our interests with renewed attention. There's lots of reading to catch up, right now a book of poetry by Wordsworth is on my night stand. It's nice to bump into kindred spirits who are trying to figure out a slower better way of living. Peace to you.

This is making me miss my hometown! I grew up with four stunning seasons surrounded by nature and similar scenery in the northeast of America. I now live in Miami with nonstop artificial light and hustle and bustle. I love both lifestyles but surely would love to step out into a silent woodsy road every now and again!
Both can be so good for their own reasons, right? 😊 Sometimes I wish I lived somewhere warm and always sunny too. But then looking at all these seasons I can’t bring myself to do it!

Love city life means we are experiencing living with other different small cosmos. Loving the natural life, means we want to connect to the great cosmos(the whole cosmos) more strongly or to be the whole cosmos.
