Expecting more indepth engineering aspects regarding engine manufacturing, various testing parameters for engines, metallurgy (alloy used), average expected engine life for Indian manufactured vehicles when compared to Japanese majors, etc.... I would always prefer the 3 door Thar or 3 door Jimny if it comes to India due to their compact and aesthetically pleasing proportions and all purpose rugged use. Expecting Mahindra to sort out the ride and handling dynamics for the 3 door Thar for the next due comprehensive facelift with a more wider stance like the Thar ROXX (1870 mm) with the same ground clearance but with a lower roof height of around 1780 mm. Would prefer the higher state of tune for the diesel engine. Expecting the suspension to tuned better for high speed stability and handling and rugged offroadability. The main focus of Mahindra should be on long term reliability and durability (bulletproof) where no parts fail. Interiors need no gimmicky addons. Only the basics need to covered for proper ergnomics like center armrest, rear passenger side arm rests with cupholders and some charging ports. Overall quality, fit and finish, and durability of the hard top should be increased. I know that it is a comprehensive overhaul for the Chassis and suspension for the ride and handling dynamics but I hope Mahindra would do it. One more thing internal opening for the fuel filler cap and a better music system.
Please explain 4x2 vs 4x4 differences in features as well as in off roading capabilities. How well a 4x2 cam handle reasonable off roading and what it can't do with respect to 4x4. This will definitely influence the choice of variant. Thanks in advance.
