This method is very nice sure after couple months has roots ready to transplant. I have done and currenly airlayair mango avocado takes about 50 days to get a nice 5 inch ball with roots with 4 to 5 foot tall next year you will have fruit.

Use chemical hormone to get best result
The stored energy is thrown out as new growth not because of new roots. Air layering or grafting is more appropriate & tested method for growing mango trees.

Leaves sprouted because of the sap that was still in the branches. But eventually the branch will dry out and both branch and leaves will die. Propagation by cutting method has a a slim to none chance. I agree that it’s best and faster by air layering method is secure and faster.
Thank for feedback but it works with some plants like jasmine, dragon fruit, eggplant, and lemon. I have done it with root

Yes, I tried that with apples. The leaves sprouted and everything was fine after putting it in ground for a couple of months and then they all died!

You are very right, Brother!. This Sokha fella has taken everyone for a ride! Buds in 7 days? The mango stem is made to believe it is still on the tree and it keeps producing leaves! It later realizes it has no roots to sustain growth, it will soon buck up, the leaves will fall off and the the stem just becomes dry wood! The Aloe-Vera is proven not an effective root inducer in plants compared to artificial root inducers, more so a woody hardwood tree branch!

Apply seaweeds extract liquid mix with water instead of plain water, for faster rooting. I have tried that after watching this video and it works.

According to the picture it’s all sand , I used the same , bud, leaves come out but no roots… check after 1 month no roots, 2 months no roots, all moulded after that no success!! Now try again different way!!

@@kindchy5712 actually the roots doesn't form. It's westof time. Better do air layering. Or give roots by grafing. E ven ibranch is kept open in rains for long it sprouts but does no give roots

Many of the cuttings I have planted have grown leaves and stems. Later they die without rooting. Only few survive. It's better to plant these in the garden and let nature take its course.

@@nuriyyahasmo5675 mostly it depends on climate and soil. Out of 8 or 10 hibiscus cuttings, only two survived and both are healthy and bushy. Rest of them all grew leaves and shoots but after a month they all turned yellow and died. Rooting hormone may improve the chances of survival.
Same to me, they start to have buds, but in a week, it dies. Nothing survived. Hoping that someday I can make it
@@judmm832 use cocopit as medium to root the cuttings and choose rainy season for high humidity. At our place everyone believes there is some miracle in rainwater that all cuttings or new plants survive during that time.
Season/month to conduct is very important, not mentioned and hiding, ok technique is nice and not a new one. Thanks🙋

Can you do the same with potting Mix instead of sand?
Its very doubtful . Leaves dnt mean rooting of any root stock. Leaves may come out with any hormone spray but rooting is not so easy in sand from a cutting branch . He should show the root also . Why he hide the rooting ?
