  • A POV experience of an Italian restaurant in Hyogo,Japan.
    This is a restaurant famous for its fresh pasta, which we stopped at on our way around Awaji Island, known as "awaichi touring".
    We had pasta with local octopus and wakame seaweed.
    The Naruto-kintoki (sweet potato) cold soup and salad in the A-set are also impressively tasty, probably because they are locally grown vegetables. The freshness is extraordinary.
    The recommended premium fresh pasta, A Linguine 4.5, is soaked in the tomato sauce and enhances the deliciousness of the ingredients.
    Its thickness gives it a chewy and sticky texture.
    The combination of plump local octopus and, unexpectedly, wakame seaweed go together exquisitely!
    I was impressed that this is what local production for local consumption means on Awaji Island.
