    Totally loved this thank you so much. Especially from 7 min mark. My previous therapist of several years told me my parents and brother are narcissists and incapable of loving me and it broke my heart. I love the way you have described it - they are preoccupied with their own needs that I felt left out and abandoned and that hurt. I have made myself feel compassion for them for years, based on my knowledge of their experiences- however, I now realised that is because I thought that was what I needed to do to be a good person. When actually I need to heal myself of the pain. Have compassion, but not to leave myself vulnerable to them. Mum has passed now. She was alcoholic- it’s been a weird grief mixed with love, anger and sometimes hatred . I don’t want to keep thinking about their poor experiences in life and battling with grief and sorrow on their behalf for their lives and their pain. I just want to heal my own and be my own loving parent. I’m new to Aca (5 weeks) but I love this program so much. Thank you for your videos. God bless you.

      Healing your resentments, shame and abandonment is what ACA is all about. 5 weeks is a great beginning! Be gentle with yourself in this healing process.
      Thanks for your suppport!

    I am sobbing bittersweet tears listening to this video. There is part of me that feels scared, baffled, overwhelmed and in self-doubt. My heart is expansive and recognise this is what I and my inner children have been needing to hear today🙏✨. This past 3 weeks my physical and emotional boundaries have been violated in a way that I had to take action over. Not that my boundaries weren't being crossed before as I wasn't experienced in upholding them and very much ingrained in people pleasing. Since this situation I'm aware of an alertness to my boundaries being crossed. The appearance is that my boundaries are being challenged constantly when I'm around others; I figure it feels this way because I've reached a place in my recovery where I really willing to uphold what I really care about in a way that honours me and with intention of doing no harm. This bill of rights is a tool that gives me the ability to self-recognise and self-validate. And to trust my own experience.
    I'm in a situation right now where my body is trying to tell me something about a certain person but I've been gasligthing myself and my proclivity to people please makes me dismiss the signals that something appears off about this persons behaviour and what I see as a lack of respect to follow clearly named boundaries. Or at least they are clear to me because it is something I'm alert to at the moment.
    This is part of the help I needed today. Universe led me here and with courage I am going to be an actor in this situation that I previously would have cowered away from in doubt of my experience and strength to navigate. And I will ask for help 🙏
    Thank you for the work you do and the love and hope you share through your videos. I appreciate you and all you do to nourish and love yourself so you can share that gift with others 🙏💖✨✨

    Bless your heart, thank you for this❤️ Just a suggestion, it would be nice to just hear the the Bill of Rights without commentary. read them in their listed form first and then if you wanted to do the commentary, do an it that after.

      Here is the link to the ACA Bill of Rights in its present form. It is still under review and the WSO is taking feedback on this document for a year before final approval. I believe that "less is more" and will continue to use the edition in the video. adultchildren.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/ACA_Bill-of-Rights_EN_LTR.pdf

    • @TheIntimacyGram
      @TheIntimacyGram  3 месяца назад +1

      This was the first version. When ACA WSO published their approved version, that changed and added much to this. I prefer this version better. Less is more. Use which ever version speaks to you.

    The Bill of Rights hasn't yet been published by ACA, and will be different than what you've described. I think you should be clear about that, and also that you don't represent ACA. It's an autonomous program.

      As a person who struggles to find any helpful info or insight about the subject and healing (there is literally NO info about this in my country or native language) I encourage everybody to put content public, no matter where it comes from or who "invented" it, so we can benefit.
      This is needed and appreciated. Thank you.

      I do not. I do know that there are several translations in process for the Big Red Book. Let me swing by the ACA WSO today and see if that is one of them.
