Out side off the obvious S2000... the prelude was the most rear-wheel drive looking Honda 😅😮😅😁 and that's with respect to the NSX guys.....

The gen before and this gen are still y all time favorite hacthbacks ever made. I have loved this build since he started it. That is the dream Honda RWD build.

The Nissanda😍 I fell in love with that car and I wish they revised it spoon and Jimmy could really have some fun my two favorite cars I love the s13 and I own an ek coupe too so the whole build combined was amazing

This looks like such a good sleeper build. It's also obvious that the car isn't setup for drifting and I can feel Mickey's frustration, where you know you can do better, but the car doesn't let you. If a proper driver helps the Throtl team to dial in the suspension as necessary - the guys would love it. Also, to be quite honest - some practice is also needed. Quinn (love you man!) mentions that the Civic is short wheelbase....but it's not actually. It's 103 inches, whereas the proper drift platforms (S or Z for example) are both under 100 inches wheelbase.

Definitely looks like it needs a bit of dial in with the caster and camber to promote a self finding center as it goes sideways. You could prolly drift it fine still, but it looks a bit extra snappy past nuetral. Awesome build, glad I watched all the episodes. I really like the White livery rework, super fresh and mean looking.

should have same wheelbase as a S13 but itll be more twitchy like a BMW but you can notice the grip level with him just having to rev it out so much dispite less at the rear
That gearbox and diff are going to hate life with a 275 width tire and more horsepower lol

I actually started this build before Jimmy did. But, that's neither here, nor there. I LOVE JIMMY AND THE BOYS
That short wheel base and all that power must give the driver problems.
The car doesn't self steer. For that, you need caster!
Some angle will help too because it will quicken the slow civic steering.
BTW thanks for sharing what you broke! I spoke with Sone @ S1 about the rear arms he sold you guys. I was goin back n forth between using AWD arms and fitting an S chassis rear sub frame. Looks like I'll be going S chassis now!
I think it would’ve been cool if Honda kept the base models front wheel drive and put the Si and Type R platforms on a rear wheel or all wheel drive setup. People who purchase those platforms are enthusiasts anyways… I dunno 🤷

Yeah, the car looks like it has great front end grip. But the rear is seriously lacking.

Why we never got a RWD or AWD Civic Si from the factory is beyond me. Honda missed out on the opportunity to go against Subaru and Mitsubishi in Rally. Those drivetrains would've definitely made up for lack of horsepower. The FWD could have been limited to the base models. Just imagine how fun it would have been to hit vtec on straights and drift around corners (besides the s2000)

It's almost like a “tuck-on Civic-body funny car” on an S2000. My short-cut way to oversteer my 2000 EK 1.6 hatchback is to simply skip the front anti-sway bar & riding on 185/65-14 tires @ low speeds w/ 320mm Momo steering wheel.

I dont think its a short wheel base. Civic has a larger wheel base then RX7 and 240sx.. should be a sweet drift car.

This is obviously one of those builds where just because you can doesn't mean that you should. It looks well executed but the chassis balance is not going to allow for easy drifting. RWD may be more fun but Honda engineers know much more about making a car stable and fast around a corner than most of us do.
The chassis balance clearly allows for easy drifting.. it is essentially not very different to a Silvia

I think you should go back and re listen to what was said. It has and 86 sway bar. All suspension "pick up" points are oem Honda.
