- Dear viewers and subscribers, good evening!
Since many of you appeared to like my new video experiment on the MUNI's route announcements, I decided to continue. If my previous video was solely on the bus lines of the agency, this time I decided to focus on MUNI's rail system, which includes PCC streetcars, cable cars, and the Metro. I have also responded to some requests made in the comment section for my previous video. People were asking me to include the 12-Short (both directions), 16BX (outbound), and the 17. Hope you enjoy!
Time code:
00:00 - Intro
00:20 - Current Rail Routes
03:26 - Routes I forgot to include
03:55 - Defunct Lines
04:34 - Bonus

good video
Great work as usual, Anton! Prior to its suspension at the beginning of the pandemic, I had actually never seen a shuttle bus on the E-Embarcadero; so your announcement of its route title and destinations is new to me! Were there ever bus shuttles on the E-Embarcadero as an historic streetcar route? I know there have been plenty on the F-Market & Wharves!
Also: is there an Oakland Station in San Francisco? I know there is the Oakdale/Palou Station on the T-line on 3rd Street, but I have never heard of Oakland Station.
The O-Oakland is the line I came up with, and it terminates in downtown Oakland.
@muniadventureswithantonmor8058 Ok cool.
lol some of the announcements are actually a bit different in reality, but nice effort!
I built announcements out of what I had. Unfortunately, not all soundbites were in place when I downloaded them. I ran into the same problem in my previous video. I also wanted to add something of my own to make it more creative.
A few of these announcements are incorrect, such as N to 23rd and 3rd. It should be a higher pitched tone.
This is the correct pitch they were recorded in.
The cable cars have announcements? 🤯
Cable Car subs do.
They don’t but they should. It shouldn’t be too hard to retrofit the Orbital/ACS system into them.
@@CityLifeinAmerica Their protected status probably makes it harder
@@QuarioQuario54321 Even though they’re protected they are still allowed to install technology to maintain the usage as a transit system.
New Orleans etc does so with their streetcar systems that date back to the 1800s and they have card readers, CAD/AVL, etc.
I apologize, but I'm bad at reading Chinese! :)
What the hell is the o
I came up with it!
@@muniadventureswithantonmor8058 oh yeah right I forgot there's a section about made-up routes
