The missing power in a catholics life - The non indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Catholics have replaced the 3rd person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, with Mary, Saints, Idol worship, Novenas, Rosary, etc I want to ask them what they think about Sin and how they intend to overcome Sin by all these rituals? For example, if you cannot control lust and have lustful thoughts about any woman (other than wife), how do they overcome that by all these endless rituals or by keeping Lent or some other fast? They should read Romans 8 and understand what is written: Romans 8 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. Only through the Power of the Holy Spirit can we overcome Sins. I wish they stared reading their Bibles and see what is the message given. Or listen to sermons explaining about who the Holy Spirit is.

That is the protestant ignorance speaking. Why have the protestants replaced the Eucharist then? John chapter 6 clearly talks about chewing on His flesh and drinking His blood for eternal life. Even the first protestant, Martin Luther believed in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Why have protestants ignored this? Where does Jesus say I meant it only symbolically? If so, He would have called the people back and explained it as He did for the other parables. He did not do that. He let them walk away. Till the 1100's the belief in the real presence of christ in the blessed sacrament was unanimous! The bible you thump all the time was given to you by the one catholic and apostolic church. If not for the canon the bible won't be there. We pray to the saints and venerate Mary. Don't you ask your friends and relatives to pray for you? That's what we ask the saints and mother Mary do. Worship is only reserved for God in the catholic church. Also, Jesus calls himself the son of David often. In the Davidic kingdom in the old testament, do you know who is 2nd most powerful person? Not the kings wife. But the queen mother! I can go on talking. Our protestant brethren are definitely saved. But the fullness of the truth is only in the Catholic church. If you consider the bible alone as authority and do away with tradition, authority and magisterium of the church, then you will end up with more than 30,000 denominations each with its own interpretation of the scripture like among protestants. In what way is this benefitting the body of Christ? It is like writing the consitution of a country and giving it to every citizen and saying "You know how to read. I don't think you know anything about Catholic Church. Infact Catholic Church is established by Jesus Christ. This Church existed more than 2000 years and followed the apostolic tradition and the scripture. Protestants only they know to criticise Catholic Church without knowing the truth of their belief. Their churches teach them such kind of accusations and they are followed as their traditions. All their traditions have come from the false prophet Martin Luther and spreading since 500 years.

Jesus is beyond religion...he came for this entire world for the entire human race. Where then are u bringing all these denominations. We all are the body of christ thats it period. There is only one church for this entire world that is jesus christ and we are all the brides waiting for the groom. We dont need any mediator when u have direct acess to jesus christ. We only have god the father, god the son, and the holy spirit. Actually we people are the church and nothing else just to have roof on top we needed the building to be called as church. If you can see thing far beyond all this earthly things u can understand spirituality clearly.

Catholics have replaced the 3rd person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, with Mary, Saints, Idol worship, Novenas, Rosary, etc
I want to ask them what they think about Sin and how they intend to overcome Sin by all these rituals?
For example, if you cannot control lust and have lustful thoughts about any woman (other than wife), how do they overcome that by all these endless rituals or by keeping Lent or some other fast?
They should read Romans 8 and understand what is written:
Romans 8
1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,
2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.
8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
Only through the Power of the Holy Spirit can we overcome Sins.

Do you know who is st peter?, Do you know who put together bible and with whom? Read the bible to full. Not just here and there. You got no idea what a soul feel like through sacraments and what is actually happen . Don't try to crucify the holy catholic church , the body of jesus as the people who were like you guys did to Jesus.
What makes you think that catholics reject the holy spirit? Catholics don't. As for saints. Catholics don't worship saints. Their holy life is an example and blessing for the church. As for the Bible, the canon of the Bible was s decided by the church through its authority. The church preserved the bible through centuries. Protestant Reformation only ended up mangling bible. The fullness of the Christian faith is present only in the Catholic Church.
Mark Cherian. Thanks for the comment. I am a Catholic and my prayer always is "Come Holy Spirit God". The catholic church has not replaced the 3rd person of the trinity at all. That is the protestant ignorance speaking. Why have the protestants replaced the Eucharist then? John chapter 6 clearly talks about chewing on His flesh and drinking His blood for eternal life. Even the first protestant, Martin Luther believed in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Why have protestants ignored this? Where does Jesus say I meant it only symbolically? If so, He would have called the people back and explained it as He did for the other parables. He did not do that. He let them walk away. Till the 1100's the belief in the real presence of christ in the blessed sacrament was unanimous!
The bible you thump all the time was given to you by the one catholic and apostolic church. If not for the canon the bible won't be there. We pray to the saints and venerate Mary. Don't you ask your friends and relatives to pray for you? That's what we ask the saints and mother Mary do. Worship is only reserved for God in the catholic church. Also, Jesus calls himself the son of David often. In the Davidic kingdom in the old testament, do you know who is 2nd most powerful person? Not the kings wife. But the queen mother!
I can go on talking. Our protestant brethren are definitely saved. But the fullness of the truth is only in the Catholic church. If you consider the bible alone as authority and do away with tradition, authority and magisterium of the church, then you will end up with more than 30,000 denominations each with its own interpretation of the scripture like among protestants. In what way is this benefitting the body of Christ? It is like writing the consitution of a country and giving it to every citizen and saying "You know how to read. Now read and make of it what you will"! That's why we have a supreme court.

I don't think you know anything about Catholic Church. Infact Catholic Church is established by Jesus Christ. This Church existed more than 2000 years and followed the apostolic tradition and the scripture. Protestants only they know to criticise Catholic Church without knowing the truth of their belief. Their churches teach them such kind of accusations and they are followed as their traditions. All their traditions have come from the false prophet Martin Luther and spreading since 500 years.
The church that compiled the Bible is the Catholic Church; the Church that divided the Bible in chapters and verses is the Catholic Church; the Church that was founded by Jesus Christ is the Catholic Church (Orthodox came in 1054; Protestants came in 1517 and later). If Protestants say that the Catholic Church is wrong, they are saying then that Jesus made a mistake in founding the Catholic Church; also, the Protestants are saying then that Jesus lied when He said that He would be always with his Church til the end of all times.
