The Last Poets are the original rap and hip hop. I used to listened to it and many
others, it was telling you about black people living in the 70's and things aren't
changing for black people in America.

so glad I found the site. the Last Poets brought the words to the feelings, the information to organize, etc
roots of rap go further back historically but in our lifetime - the Last Poets were and remain - the voice. please listen n learn - they set it down to be tools then n going forward.
