Hi...Great video and find. The new style brown bag MRE is an exact replica of the British army single meal ration. The pack, and all contents, are British issue components so, as a fellow reviewer, I am sorry to see the old ration leaving service. Having eaten thousands of British rations I don't think I will be reviewing Lithuanian rations in the future. Such a shame when countries lose their individual identities and meal differences..😔...ATB...Mick
Thanks for watching the video. I still have about ten old Lithuanian packs on the shelf, and I like them very much. They are nice and sturdy in the hand and durable, and the content isn't bad either. And the older packaging is more versatile in terms of different side dishes and snacks. That new package didn't convince, even though the main course was one of the best I've ever had. In the old packages, a large part of the main dishes are rice-based, but now it seems to be more stewed. It might give a false feeling, but somehow rice-based food fills me up more or at least takes the feeling of hunger away for a longer time.
