Indonesia is waiting visa free policy. Visiting China is still complicated because we still have to apply visa. Hopefully China can apply the same thing to Indonesia as soon as possible.
I am immigrant living in Sweden, and Sweden is not one of the visa-free countries, and I can understand that. Sweden's foreign policy is very aggressive against China for no obvious reason, they just follow what the white house tells them to do, they don't own their decision, and they turned into a noisy small dog with the sole purpose of barking at everyone who is independent of the west. We need each other in this world, but that doesn't mean Sweden can lecture China on any issue, none. I would like to visit China one day but the problem is as a Muslim, where can I find food that suites me? is it available everywhere I go?
China has a lot of native Muslims, it will be easier to find halal food there than Korea or Japan. But if you are strict about dietary laws, it will be hard to see more remote places.
@@shane1948 that's good, and I am not a fan of remote places. I would like to see the cities and infrastructure such as bullet trains, big bridges and advanced cities such as Chengdu and Shenzhen. I heard that there is a community of immigrant Muslims in Shenzhen, and they have opened restaurants, and probably there are more such communities in other big cities such as Beijing or Shanghai.
There are halal restaurants and mosques in China! Although it'd need some footwork to find one, you just have to ask the people there (using translation machine), or you can just search for a nearby mosque and eat there. One thing to note is you have to download some apps like wechat, alipay, maps, vpn and translation tool that can work in China. Transactions are done via phone even in villages, so be sure to do some research there.

Visited Chengdu a few weeks ago. Very convenient. Use approved apps like Didi. Avoid those touting driver at the airport. They might get a bit pushy but just reject them a few times & they will leave you alone. Other than that is you might see some people still spitting, not a lot but enough to be disgusting. Smoking is also a problem especially some stubborn people still smoke indoors. Small turnoffs but worth mentioning so that everyone has some expectation. Plus point it's very safe, affordable & convenient. People are mostly very friendly.
I hope to see a similar resolution for Russian citizens! There have been fairly stable, trusting relations between our countries for a long time! But issues such as visa free and the validity of Russian bank cards are still not available to Russian citizens in the territories of magnificent China
I always wondered why Russia is not part of the scheme. The problem is the huge border with Russia and the practicality of no visas. In places like Harbin/ Heilongjiang, you would have people along the borders just going in and out, even live in the other country (returning back for 1 day to get visa stamped) with no controls whatsoever. Maybe they find a solution for this in future.
I tried to use it this past September. But it was unsuccessful because I stayed at Hong Kong first. It has to be direct flight or a connection without leaving the connection airport. But I was surprised at how helpful their visa office in (Shenzhen) was! I wish I could show you my vacation photos. The city was beautiful and clean! I can use the subway system to go everywhere!
