The music is one of the things that I liked most about HL. Yes, I know this song was not used in a HL scene. It should have been however. It reminds everyone of Amy and Ty. The message of the song applies especially well to the fans of Ty. It tells about how hard it is to get over the feelings of rejection and resentment that Amy caused because of how she betrayed and treated Ty so often. You did a great job on the video.

Really nice song! You really don't get over someone who has been an important of your life and so many good memories that let you go on but necessary with someone else! Amy is grasping at relationships because family and others tell her to move that's not necessarily going to happen because your one true love is no longer there but your life can be full as you continue your goals and dreams you shared! Season 13 was it for me too!

No one should worry that Amy will "never get over " Ty as this song says. She has already proven twice that she is more than willing to move on from him to try and find someone better. She will do so again. At the memorial, Amy spent as much time telling her family, Heartland viewers, and Ty himself that she was ready to move on than she did telling everyone how great of a man Ty was and what his unconditional love meant to her. One thing is certain, Amy didnt even consider taking this one last opportunity to apologize to Ty for all of the emotional pain and injustice she caused him to feel during their time together. It seems that self awareness and empathy for other peoples feelings is simply not in her. That is so disappointing and sad.
Ever since she became contributing producer she has shown very little care for Ty. She s-it on him in the first 4 shows and NEVER admitted that she had as much feelings for the rich life style as she did Ty. In shows 5 -10, except when Ty asked her again to Marry him, raped on him and the writers mad Amy out as the poor victim. Remember Amber told the world that she had impute into the show. As much as I love this show, it hurts every time I do not see Ty from show 9-1, through show 13-10. He is not even allowed to be with his daughter for Thanksgivings. Amy never held his hand or kissed his foreheads in the hospital. Even after the fought him back from death. It was more about George then Ty. The writers sure showed how much they disliked Graham.

I have seen others comment that Amber and the other producers have decided to take Heartland in a different direction. They may even direct the show to a little older (15-25) of the young women audience. Some that grew up with it but now are willing to see it become a little more mature in content. I dont know but I hope not. Much of this preseason hype is misdirection meant to keep people thinking about Heartland and looking forward to seeing it again. When you learn the details of Graham and Ambers real relationship and how that nearly mirrors how Amy treated Ty it is downright scary. I feel sorry for both Graham and Ty.
Amy always though the grass was greener on the other side with someone else, but she couldn't make it without Ty. Plus she was jealous of anyone (female) even coming near Ty.

I really like this song. After I discovered it a few weeks ago it reminded me so much of Ty and Amy. With the right video clips, I thought it would make a great music video for what Amy and Ty went through. I was right. You did a great job. Getting the right video clips matched up with the right song lyric's is especially important in making a good music video. I originally was going to suggest a few more scenes of Amys sadness after Ty died. This would be her reflecting back on the wonderfully happy events in her life that became reality only because of Tys unconditional love for her. That his willingness to forgive her despite her repeated betrayals, is the only reason she has Lyndy and had such a wonderful marriage. It is this understanding that made the words and emotions of this song so real but in a good way rather than a bad way. After watching the video a few more times I realized that this video already highlights these issues pretty well. Besides, fans will often only see what they want to see anyway. Young female viewers always see Amy as innocent and are willing to forgive her no matter what she does. For those viewers nothing will change their minds. For fans of Ty, they are left to continue to feel his pain and the real disappointment of seeing Amy for who she really is inside. Tys fans are also the ones who ask "how can they ever get over" the feelings of resentment caused by Amys actions and her self-righteous refusal to apologize for them? For them, as the song says, "closure" just wont come. It is impossible without a sincere apology from Amy and we know that will never happen. It is likely too late anyway .
