But I already mixed the strum and the simple pick pick of Over the River to Grandmother's house on Audacity. I am trying to play the strum in sync with the melody w/o a metronome. I'm just thrilled I figured out how to record two diff tracks!!!!!

Thanks man! Yeah, I’m definitely starting to get more into it. The extra range and deep richness is really fun. Even though it’s technically the same notes as high G it can sound SO different
