Andretti will likely be ahead of Haas season 1. America needs a real team in F1 and several teams are scared of that. Haas a token American team that won't be a threat isn't a problem for them. An advertisement for Andretti Autosport but why not. His whole organisation is 1/10 of Williams who were last in F1 last year. He is the size of Haas who only do F1. A successful racing team but never a race car design and manufacturing outfit. He said its a huge ask not just to build a car but to build one that is competitive and reliable. In the Brazil sprint qualifying yesterday all the teams were within .5sec for the lap. What is Cadillac doing? Nobody knows? They havent said they are building an engine . They just talk about partnerships. I wish them well but I do think they dont realise the enormity of the task and the money it will cost and the expertise they have to find. Also years of trying to become competitive. I scratch my head on who the American driver might be with 40 Super license points. ahhh Logan you are saved.
People talk without knowing sh!t... Andretti and Cadillac partner in IMSA with a low cost project using Dallara cars (the same guys who provide Haas in F1). F1 design and budgets are a whole different ballpark, so I very much doubt they are serious about entering. I think they know F1 is going to reject them, so they will spend the rest of their lives crying over the "bad Europeans" who didn't let them race, all while still losing to Ganassi and Penske in IndyCar.
Gunther doesn't like the fact another American team entering F1 because he knows Andretti will be more successful than Haas and will have a larger fan base
Haas makes money leasing CNC tooling machines to a number of high end mechanical ventures, including F1 teams. I don't think they care for their fan base or lack of.
So Andretti got his design team and factory plus a engin supplier onboard and he is ready to go. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩🤣🤩🤩🤩 Andretti is all talk. Not even a engin till 2028 by GM. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is underestimating the technical difficulties that F1 has. Just recently Renault missed it (engine), Mercedes missed it (car/aero), not to say Ferrari (everything), all of these teams with years of experience and part of the discussions and at one point multiple World Championships. Toyota, Audi and Porsche with WEC have struggled with their commitment due to the technical difficulties (with unlimited budgets). Money for Andretti is not the issue, I agree, but niether Cadillac nor Micheal have ever raced at this level as teams owners. My question to Micheal is, Do you have the technical people that can deliver the design and manufacture of a F1 car at the front of the grid? The US market will not support at the current level of interest a US built car in P19 and P20
I don't think they are underestimating it. I think they know all too well they'll never be allowed to enter F1, but will use that rejection to feed into the old "snob Europeans" myth and gain support from American fans wherever they race (IndyCar and IMSA)

Family business is how Williams went down..
Kudos to Andretti - but I don't hear win when I hear GM/Cadillac.
GM/Cadillac is actually doing pretty well in other series, but tin top victories don't really translate to F1 success. Hopefully they won't be another Toyota or BMW F1.
Just be prepared to waste millions just in case..
He's an Andretti, he'll get in! No worries.
Best odds of actually getting in is still to buy out an existing team.
F1 teams are scared ...
Liberty will look at Andretti's bid from the longer term profit side. If Liberty sees profits down the road, and the existing teams don't, or, gain little at first, I think Andretti gets in.
Liberty does not have the call on them getting in.
@@ronbelanger4113Liberty Media (F1) are the only ones that have the power to admit Andretti now that he's been approved by FiA , the current teams can give their opinions and will ,but they don't have a vote nor does FiA , only F1 has the final approval
Love how Americans always think that their local heros are also superstars across the world.
Mario Andretti is a former F1 champion too
@@MMAmachinhead92 certainly but Michael was a joke in F1.
@@MMAmachinhead92true won only 12 races
Mario owes his F1 success to Colin Chapman.
@@MMAmachinhead92 but no one outside the US considers him a true great. He just lucked out when Lotus got the wing car concept right, and since his teammate Ronnie Peterson had quit the team in anger after a disastrous first 1976 race, the Swede had to sign a contract stating that as long as Mario was on track he wasn't allowed to overtake him.
Conquer???
Andretti will likely be ahead of Haas season 1. America needs a real team in F1 and several teams are scared of that. Haas a token American team that won't be a threat isn't a problem for them. Michael deserves a shot he raced in F1 and his father was a champion. The goal post is moving faster than a Ferrari and the bias is a very bad look on the sport. I used to be a fan and attended 8 races now it really is something I put way behind Indycar on my to do list. Andretti might change that.
A minor national series compared to a global one. They will never recover from your lack of interest!
Why would they be scared of a team who hasn't won an IndyCar title in 12 years, despite everyone racing the exact same car?
Waste.....
Give it a rest please
Mike tried F1 and got hurt!
Brutal. Say no more 😂😂😂
Want badly for Andretti to succeed, but I see GM as a fickle, short-lived partner.
Did you see the statement from the president of GM today? Doesn’t sound very fickle to me. Seems like GM is all-in on a long term commitment
Nothing to do with fans and everything to do with Sponsors and of course Money.
Haas makes money leasing CNC tooling machines to a number of high end mechanical ventures, including F1 teams. I don't think they care for their fan base or lack of.
Andretti is a name too bad they can't run a winning indy team
I would love to see Andretti instead of HAAS
Facts 😤
I love F1, but it seems super sketchy. Red Bull is allowed to own two of the 10 teams, using the junior team as a feeder. 😂
With Aston Martin up for sale it’ll be tough for Andretti to get in.
ah nice fluf piece to prop up the Andretti bid
Waarom zou je geen nieuwe teams erbij willen als F1 fan?
Andretti needs to buyout Haas
Regardless what team and who's the boss, u need Adrian Newey to be in your team
Or Ross brawn
On the team.
Gordon Murray maybe.
@@PeterKKraus Gordon Murray claimed to have designed cars that he didnt.
Aldo costa! Esse é o homem que andretti precisa trazer! Faz isso michael!!!
Michael's relentless. He'll get it done. 👍👍👍
I think they know all too well they'll never be allowed to enter F1, but will use that rejection to feed into the old "snob Europeans" myth and gain support from American fans wherever they race (IndyCar and IMSA)
great bio
Well if his teams anything like is driving was then guys save your money & stay at home.
If you make it to F1 have fun circling at the back of the field ⛳
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I hope the team does get to drive in F1 . I am a huge F1 fan and as I see it HAAS is NOT an American team, When Team Andretti gets in F1 that's when there will be a TRUE American Team to cheer for.
Assuming you know what you are doing, you need a cool $300 Million just to line up on the back of an F1 grid. So get ready for the sense of LOSS.
He will finish last and embarrass all Americans as joke racers.
indy 500 & daytona 500 are not international events, its home grown racing which is simply not comparable with F1
Really?...you're trolling, obviously
Yup, some can't get that ovals do not count in racing like proper circuits do.
It ain't happening for you Andretti.. ya'bum! Now Beat-It, Hit-the-Bricks, pr whatever else you hicks say😂😂
Just kidding, I believe Andretti should pay more than 200m's to the other teams as inflation and air freight has gone nuts.. but yeah, they should make it as they do have a pedigree.. in-bred as it may be😂😂
Michael and Mario will deliver count on it
Certainly don't think they would be a waste of space in F1 but I doubt they'd hit the ground running. Look forward to having them as an eleventh team!
FORMULA ONE STARTED ITS U.S. COMEBACK AT THE INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY LONG BEFORE TEXAS WAS BUILT, TONY GEORGE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR IT COMING BACK TO THE U.S.
Screaming fixes zero.
George is also responsible for destroying Indy Car.
The Netflix boost is starting to dry up. F1 needs Andretti. Liberty Media knows this. If you want to keep Americans interested you have to have Americans participating in the sport with a potential to win. They might make Andretti sweat it out a bit until they can get a new Concord agreement in place but his name is going to be on that grid eventually.
True. Logan Seargeant is not enough, and he might be out of a seat sooner than later.
Um, Mr. Haas is already in F1.
@@ronbelanger4113 read my post again. Notably the part about being capable of winning.
I'm rooting for Andretti, more teams on the grid and more teams who actually want to be there for the racing (looking at you Haas) will make for a better sport
The 10 teams don't want anyone else
And some more than others
Williams, Hass , Alpha , would stand to lose millions
If AAS are successful
I hope they get there place
But doubt they will
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
They will all lose a lot. And this comes soon after they renegotiated the profit scale to make it better for the middle of the pack and bottom teams. They are going to fight like crazy to stop a decision which would set them back or worse.
What the point? Such waste of resources. Anyway red bull will spend more money to keep dominate f1. Meh...
