One thing that made your vlogs stand out from typical vlogs was the music, the drone shots and the amazing quality. I don't need to see powder skiing or fun adventures to enjoy the video. Simple everyday errands can be just as fun if the editing is as high quality as it used to be with Marcus. I must say this video was quite boring. No music, no drone shots, no quality. Plus you seem sad. I know you must be exhausted with the extra work on your shoulders but the show must go on. I know you can do it and need some time to figure it out, but this video made me miss Marcus so much! He really did a lot to this channel.
I have never stated that Jon can't edit on his own. I for a fact know that Marcus has taken vacations or days off some times. For example in Christmas time or back in the summertime. But that was only for a couple of days which made the editing or lack of it bearable. This on the other hand just shows how much Marcus was a part of the channel. If you say this video is living up to standard with his other videos on the channel then you're living in denial. If you missed it in my main comment then I will rephrase myself: "I know you can do it and need some time to figure it out". So let me give my 2 cents to Jon in peace.

i think this is just and odd couples vlog as they said, no probs with that, let them guys chill a little, Jon and Janni haven't seen each other for a while now with all the skiing work and travel stuff, i'm sure Jon is about to smash with some creative adventure vids, more travel, more extreme stuff, we'll see if he'll buy a Rolls etc, Jon is bold and head on, but it all is cyclical, no matter all the crazy stuff he defo needs some chill and family rest too right ;)

Lucas what would you do when you work with a pro athlete where you gain a lot of exposure and contacts...Marcus is half of team overkill and always will be, but this is better for Marcus as he can focus on working on himself and increasing his business as a film maker, did you really think he was going to live with Jon and Janni until they all died....like cmon son have some common sense. Sucks that he's gone but he's doing what's best for him and whatever he needs to do to achieve what his goals are, you know Marcus will be in future vlogs whenever they hangout again, just not as the man behind the camera. Also just because it seemed "suddenly" in the video doesn't mean that this wasn't planned for awhile, it's just that they didn't need to express it to us viewers as it honestly really doesn't concern us or our opinions on the matter as we are not Jon or Marcus.
The comment section is filled with so many selfish people. Marcus left because he wants to spend more time with his family and friends, do you really want him to come back just to make 10-20 minutes of your life more enjoyable ?
Jon is just back from a month of traveling and skiing god forbid he would want a bit of a normal life with his girlfriend for a couple of days.
Zach Halliday not selfish but the reality of YT, people crave constant excitement to escape from their mundane lives....they dont want to see normality, these vlogs in reality are soap operas or in Spain and Latin America like the infamous Tele Novelas😂😂, everything is melodrama and sensational with hysteria😂...thats what the Latin American wives love in their daily one hour fix, its all escapism😉😎

I feel so sad reading all this negativity here in the comments😭 I feel so sad for Jon because im 100% sure he is trying hes absolute best and it will take time for him to get used to it. Nobody should expect same quality from someone who only has done filming/editing for a hobby as from a professional who has worked with it (marcus). Also i really liked this vlog because of variety, not every vlog should or can be a epic adventure. They are humans i could not keep up with that for a week so i totlly understand marcus desission. Please stop the hating otherwise jon may stop doing theese as well if he feels like he is failing too much☺️

I think you guys owe us the real reason for Marcus leaving the vlog so all of a sudden. I dont buy the goodbye vlog, not any of it. It all felt forced and fake. Him leaving is one thing, lets be real, it was bound to happen with being the third wheel and having a girlfriend of his own. But all we want is an explanation, you guys owe the vlog that much.

Daniel Burman besides living on a couch and no family around maybe Marcus needed to get paid more. I know he could work for any production house and get paid good money. Maybe he was asked to do a bit more then what was agreed upon? I guess we don't know the real reason. I will just lean towards he misses his family and friends.
besides constant travel, don't get enough time with family, gril friends. Living arrangement is definitely an issue, living in a same room as Jon/Janni, and had to stay up late doing editing while the other two soundly sleeping 6 feet away. The other thing I noticed is on one hand Jon seems to be willing spend big money on luxurious cars, gears, items, but on the other hand he seems to try to save money on things like food. They always eat fast food, if they cook at home, its always tiny potion, quick stuff. This episode is probably the best cooking Jon ever did in all the vlogs, for a big dude like Marcus, not be able to eat, sleep well can take a toll. The water hose incident definitely had some impact on his decision of leaving too in my opinion.
Mike f +Mike f now that I think about it getting the water sprayed on him was not cool. He did not like that at all. I am a photographer and I shoot a lot of portraits for editorial work and I can tell when my subjects are uncomfortable with an idea. If so I just move on and try to make them comfortable. The photographer with that big ego should had stopped with spraying the water on Marcus but he sprayed him non stop. It might be a combo of being disrespected, extra work no pay, horrible sleeping conditions and eating with no privacy, missing friends and family and Marcus wanting to work on his own projects. When Jon is talking about buying expensive cars and such and Marcus was not getting paid. I think Marcus should had got a salary plus RUclips percentage. Just my opinion. Marcus put a lot of time into make the vlog look nice and professional he also trained Jon and Janni. He was dealing with Red files, Go Pro files, Canon files and Leica files. Jon might say Marcus got to travel around the world and see some cool places but Marcus was working most of the time. He was not playing, I know he had an agreement in the beginning but the work load was an extreme amount of work and I don't think people realize the time involved. Traveling with the equipment, shooting, importing, editing, exporting and posting daily takes a ton of time and it is very mentally draining. The quality of the vlog was much better with Marcus and he is one of the reasons I watched it. I wish Marcus the best with everything and he has a lot of talents so I know he will do well.
Love seeing you and Janni together and as a team. This vlog feels like home, like personal.. You guys are doing a great job, keep killing it... And many thanks for sharing your life online with the people who actually enjoy your vlogs
This is Jon Olsson vlog and it has been there way before Marcus! He really did great job and contributed for the evolution of the channel, but it is still Jon Olsson vlog with or without Marcus. I have been watching these vlogs since 2007. Stop crying for Marcus (he is OK and doing what he wants) instead watch and learn from this inspirational person and athlete. Keep up the great work Jon Olsson. Respect!

I loved this VLOG. You know why? Because they really look like a regular couple and they did normal stuff like cooking and chilling at home. The crazy traveling is really extreme and nobody can afford that on a monthly basis .... Great video Jon! Things will work out great!

In my opinion the main reason, why I've been watching these Vlogs every day, was because of amazing editing, colour grading, great atmosphere and content that was never getting boring.
But now since Marcus has left, it just feels like something is missing..

Marcus is doing what is best for him and his future, he gained a lot of exposure and probably a lot of contacts while working with Jon and he will be greatly missed. Sad to see him go as he was half of Team Overkill and he always had great energy and editing for the vlogs but you know Jon will visit him and include him in future things. It's not a goodbye, just a see ya later. :)

not every day of your life can be jumping out of helicopters and buying cars.. there are days like these too where even though it may not be an adrenaline rush or monumental moments, you keep days like this close to heart. the simple days. Jon isn't content driven.. he's driven by dedication. That's why I subscribed. Whether it's powder for 9hrs or sauteed broccoli he's consistently on top of it and putting out content. He challenges me to create more. thumbs up.

Could we already stop crying over Marcus' decision to have an own life? I miss him too but I think none of us can be so naive to think their arrangement would have lasted forever... :) This channel will and already is changing because so is Jon and Janni. I enjoy to watch their normal every day life too, we have had enough lambos and travelling around the world so it is good see something else for change.
Hopefully Jon won't take any new assistant and instead of focuses on his own life together with Janni, even if it means I won't have a vlog to watch every single day.

Please!! the fact that Jon's last two vlogs haven't been about cliffs, lambos or beaches around the world doesn't mean that everything is going to change!! These are just two days which are within the "common days" of almost everyone. Because Jon RESPECTS his friend and his decision and BELIEVES in his work, I'm sure he's even happier to support him and to be a great friend. Applying force and pressure on Marcus won't make him happy, and that doesn't show your love to his work as an individual who wants to work alone. And I really don't see the point of complaining to Jon about that! He didn't take that decision, nor can he change it. I'm sorry santa and unicorns are not real. They're two individuals, and whether you think they work separately as good as they work together or not, I'm sure they love what they do. Everyone who is hating on how the vlogs are now weren't here from te beginning. They can't always do crazy stuff they also need chill days. Yes I miss Marcus too but the vlogs are still awesome. Jon has always promoted being positive in the comments so keep that flow going!

We all feel the same way about Marcus' abrupt leaving but that doesn't mean we should rampage Jon about it everyday... a wound won't heal if we continuously poke it to check if it's already healed... I mean, for once, let us remember that no one forces us to watch his vlogs and as hard to watch loosing an important member of a dynamic team, this is Jon's personal life... Only scripted over-planned hyper fake vlogs do extreme adventures everyday just for the pleasure of everyone watching... we gotta understand that Jon and Janni are in a more intimate part of a relationship and this "resting period" is essential for them for their future. And judging that this is only his second day resting after all those world wide travelling and skiing and crashing into a friend's house and his best friend somewhat leaving him, hell! If I were him, I would take a week free of all this and spend quality time Janni... having a girlfriend as supportive as her is far better than any thing... so chill guys, let Jon get some rest... I miss Marcus too... and I got a fair share of expressing my sadness and disbelief in that moment but this vlog is reality, not all the time we get what we want not we can do what we want due to circumstances but Jon is doing the best he can to work what he have and judging what he have right now (a beautiful partner, a nice apartment, living normal life, working hard to earn more money and having gradual amazing trips around the world with friends) it's enough for a man to settle a little bit from time to time.. it's life, it's never meant to be perfect but it can work if you are willing to adapt to changes. 👌🏼 keep doing what you love Mr. Olsson!
