I am a baking and pastry student at Johnson and Wales and one of my classes was dedicated specifically to ice cream. For our final we had to make our own ice cream flavor, print a label for it and package it into a pint container. I created a flavor called "The Bleeding Tree" I used maple syrup that my uncle produces, with bits of waffle cone and a raspberry swirl to cut down the sweetness. It was amazing and definitely one of my favorite classes of all time.

I'm from the other side of the world and I'm obsessed too! There is always sweet tea in my fridge in the hot months of the year. A 1.5l bottle lasts me about 2-3 days.

Kay, so I did the math (I know, I know "Whut?!").
Jen used 1 quart of product (which equates 32 ounces), which 13% of which is 4.16 ounces. Since one cup is about 8.115 ounces, then Jen should have had ONLY 1/2 Cup of solids in her mixture.

That's why if you lose a lot of weight quickly or come from a family history of starvation, you'll gain the weight back very quickly and it will be harder to lose again. You should trie a spanish ice cream that its actually you can only find in a part of Asturias (nothern spain). There are two types: the traditonal and the more elaborated one.
-The traditional one consists of a mountain-like figure of the same name covered with meringue, which was served flamed with rum or grilled with a hot popsicle and contrasting its temperature with the vanilla butter ice cream that shapes it.
- The elaborated one is divided in layers are of strawerry, vanilla, nougat ice crams, the in the bottom they put a piece of hard caramel and on the top they put a layer of meringue that is then flamed

When I was in the Baking & Pastry Arts program at Penn College (Pennsylvania College of Technology), we had to work in the 4-star restaurant, Le Jeune Chef, that is attached to the campus for a class. The class was split into groups and each week of that semester a group was given a region and had to create six different desserts using different bases, one of which was ice cream. My partner and I got the Chesapeake Bay region and split the desserts designs 50/50, in which I got the ice cream. Everyone was leary about my dream of Old Bay ice cream, but it turned out amazing!

As someone born and raised in the south, I was actually shocked that Jen didn't know what sweet tea is. I guess that knowledge of sweet tea is just such a huge part of my upbringing that it somehow never occurred to me that someone might not know what it is.
