- Check out an exclusive deleted scene from Arrow's eighth and final season. In this lost scene from episode #804, "Present Tense," Oliver Queen confronts the Monitor after learning his adult children, Mia and William, have been pulled from the future to take part in Crisis. Needless to say, he's not happy.
Arrow: The Eighth and Final Season arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on Tuesday, April 28. This release includes all ten episodes of the season along with all five chapters of the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover.

The monitor sounds like hes talking with a fan whenever he speaks
he sounds like the gummy bear
Some people saying that the kids didn't really have a role in crisis... I'm like you do realize The Monitor sending his kids to 2019, Oliver seen his kids from the Future, made him fight harder to secure a better future for them... I'd say they played a most important role ...
Indeed
Gave him this inspiration to reshape the universe the way he did.
Yes but I would say Oliver still was right in blaming Novu in the first place (even though he didn't know exactly what Novu had done at the time).
E. Ramone exactly!
I thought of a new fight scene between Oliver and anti monitor
What if the spectre shapeshifted into his previous costumes and creating illusions in the anti monitors mind of how the 13 years of Oliver struggling with fear and become the one he is today
Why did they take this out , stephen's acting is on point...though when is it ever Not
Season 4

DCU Fanboy
Nah it is there. His rant to Quentin over working with Darhk is terrific.
True dat
DCU Fanboy nah, stevens acting was great even during season 4. He was the reason season 4 flopped
Oliver: You know I'm gonna stop you right?
Monitor: You'll try
Post Crisis Me remembering The Monitor falling over like a sack of potatoes after Oliver shoots him with an arrow
it was an anti-matter arrow developed when they were building the pulse wave energy generator. That was how he stopped him ish.
Dominic that’s too long to type but everyone knows this
@@dominic7038 Dude I didn't look into it that much I just thought it was funny how fast he went down
Those who are wondering when this happens, it happens when Oliver is trying to extend time to migrate people from one Earth to an another Earth. This is where Oliver shoots arrow at Monitor causing him to slow down. In the process, Oliver looses his life before he gets brought back from the Nanda Parbat on some different Earth. Before Oliver turns into the Specter.
I miss Stephen Amell. Arrow definitely had some highs and lows but I always preferred watching it over shows like the Flash just because Stephen carried this show on his back. He is such a compelling actor and can play a lead better than most people. Him and Tom Cavanaugh are easily the best actors on the CW
I think grant Carrie's the show of the flash as well
@@ajwebhead21 nah the writers are making Iris do that
Your credibility is seriously in question to say Amell is a better lead than Gustin. Someone who isn't a fan of these shows or these actors recognize the lack of acting ability this guy has in comparison to his contemporaries. Or even in comparison to the supporting cast of this show and various other shows.
Mr.Wolfchamp 1999 to say his credibility is in question seems a bit pretentious, it’s called an opinion. And it’s not unfairly based, Arrow has ended and we have all 8 seasons to look over and see how he’s progressed. In my opinion, Oliver was still a more consistent lead than Barry. The only time Barry was a compelling character on this show since S2, was in the two part starting in S6. S1 and S2 Barry was great and made you feel for him. Now, you almost don’t care.
@@arunnumapathy7003 Fair enough. I guess I struggle with seeing acting quality as a matter of opinion. Some acting seems factual to me in terms of quality.
I miss Arrow it was one of the best cw shows ever made, I wish it could have lasted a little longer.
@Jed Opportuneson I know your right but still stings a little it was a great show.
tbh it ran its course theres only so much they can do with arrow espcially since green arrow is not that big compare to flash superman and batman etc
True, but I personally think the writing quality dropped off and they added too many characters. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy what they did with it quite as much as I think I could have if it would have been handled differently. I do think they could have continued with a very interesting show concept if they would have taken this version of Oliver Queen they created and explored it further, not trying to do comics based stuff and just letting the show stand on its own.🤷♀️
I really regret dropping this series. How different could it be from what I liked?
"...You sent my children here from the future?!" _turns around, revealing the Monitor_
Ah.
first like and first reply
I'm gonna shave that mustache
@billabongblue _ *looks around a la John Travolta from Pulp Fiction* ...Fake?
Just Some Guy with a Mustache just rematch man
Rewatch it *
If just feels weird now Oliver is gone miss seeing those crossover with Barry
Stephen Amell is really underrated as an actor.
Why was this cut?!?! This should have stayed! It helped a big plot point of crisis and arrow!
Christopher Dohaniuk probably due to time constraints you gotta remember this goes on tv
sxdistic they could have also left it in for the app as a reason to download the CW. I wasn’t meaning just on tv its self.
Christopher Dohaniuk I’m sure the makers and editors wouldn’t wanna put in all deleted scenes on the app and on tv have to edit it all out but I agree they should have a section on the app as to where you could see all deleted scenes from any show
And how he brought up Barry and Sara
This showed more emotion and meaning towards his sacrifice
Literally every scene in Season 8 did that.
Dhruv I know that I’m saying this showed it as well
Why they decided to delete this it makes more sense why they are there now?
Oliver is furious and he denies the fact that Novu is trying buy him time to spent with his family he will never see. Maybe, by not showing it, they show that Oliver understands that fact.
But Oliver didn’t fail and he did find answers in Nanda Parbat
Lyla eventually tells him
Omg i really miss the arrow
Dang I miss arrow :(
Me too 😭💚🏹🎯
This clip makes me miss arrow even more now 😔
I’m gonna miss the “You have failed this city” lines 😔
Why would they delete this scene. It's brilliant. Ties a few things together
Press F for Oliver

This would’ve made better sense in the story because we all thought why he didn’t call Sara to get them back
Every spent moment is a gift of time. Great scene I say
Why did they delete this, this was amazing
I wonder why?
Such an awesome deleted scene
I'm glad they left this scene out, seems like I'm the only one tho lol. Oliver realized that his kids being there was a gift, not a curse without being explicitly told it. I think from a storytelling standpoint, it worked much better that way. I'm sure many viewers caught on without being told it directly as well.
My biggest problem with this scene is the fact that the monitor DID cause crisis and it was because of HIS OWN hubris. Yet he belittles Oliver for essentially guessing right. I think it was removed because once the full story was revealed, that scene makes The Monitor out to be narcistic and hypocritical.
I remember when this episode was coming out there were promo pics for this scene. Oliver looking hesitant with monitor behind him.
Really nice touch that he tells him not to contact Barry or Sarah
This was a amazing clip. Thank you!
I miss Arrow so much
It is quite possible that what came out of the multiverse crisis is the fact that maybe it hasn't finished or is still happening out but not on the new earth this may mean that the new universe is isolated from the multiverse but ever so slightly? I think there's another storyline coming in a very different way to the dc hero's one that involves a cover up and something that will bring a new crisis, and it will involve the Green Arrows family and time travel and such a old villain of dc universe with a outcome that will open a zero hour event and have resolve the multiverse issues financially probably? Title called Mother Box?
I miss Arrow :(
I know they could not have all these meta people in the same universe without doing these type of crossovers but I wish at least this show stayed more real with the same type of vibe as s1-4
This is explains why Oliver didn't contact Barry or Sarah....WTF? CW? Why you had to delete this scene? Made perfect sense.
This... would've really cleared things up at a time we were more equipped to understand rather than waiting until the last second
Bro this scene is 🔥🔥🔥 they should’ve kept it
I honestly thought Oliver was gonna punch The Monitor.
I miss Arrow so much, I love the other shows but Arrow was something else. I think it attracts more young adults and adults because of the “darkness”. In my head it makes sense I know it’s confusing but I just don’t know how else to say it.
Great series, enough said!!
Oliver shouldn't have died. He didn't deserve that after all the sh*t he went through. At least Moira, Tommy and Lance are alive now because of Oliver. That makes this bad treatment of Oliver Queen a little bit easier to accept. But I am still annoyed by the decision to end Arrow with a crossover. I always wanted Arrow to stay it's own thing without involving Barry or Kara.
Thank you Oliver.
mi maravillosa serie la quiero
:)
Unpopular opinion... Oliver deserved a better ending.
It's been really 8 seasons wow
I know it truly make me cry to see it end so many memorys of this show😢😞
Someone at CW must have really had a grudge against Amell because there were a lot of illogical, disrespectful choices made against his character such as cutting this scene and the manner in which he died. Both times.
I will never forgive the CW for screwing up Oliver's farewell, it was absolute garbage
It's such a shame because it started off amazing and become unwatchable by season 7
It wasn’t what I was expecting and hoping for to be sure😢
- smoke - the prison episodes were dope af, but after that it was garbage. The last time we had a season that wasn’t so inconsistent was s5
tysm for uploading this ily
This was there in promo photos for this episode.
Well at least we finally know why Oliver never contacted Berry or Sara
By the why you spelled Barry wrong
Season 8 Oliver had the most comic accurate look
Ollie🥺
It's so cool how Oliver can "sense" when the monitor is around him
dude I literally just finished the show now here I am looking for everything arrow
Ohh I do remember a screen cap of Oliver and the Monitor. It wasn't in the episode, so I was really confused.
Man do I miss this show
Maaan, makin me sad all over again
Extremely disappointed in the way this series ended
The reason they deleted this is because of time, yes but also because it hinted earth 1 getting destroyed
Why did they delete this this was awesome
I'm glad they did. The whole point of the last few episodes were the team realizing they were wrong about Novu and him sending his kids as a gift for him. Here, Oliver is confronting Novu about being the one who's actually starting the Crisis and him not dismissing it and revealing that his children actually have a purpose. It makes Novu out as less intelligent and empathetic than they portrayed him as.
@@ahsokarules2369 This was set before Oliver realise that the Monitor is right
@@thanos6635 That's the point I'm making.
@@ahsokarules2369 I am disappointed that they deleted this scene. This actually added explanations to the story arc.
@@ahsokarules2369 But I can see your point as well. I agree with you.
Stephen Amell deserves a Emmy for Arrow as much as Charlie Cox does for Daredevil
Best series final ending ever
I like it but I get why they cut it out. Keeps to the whole mystery of season 8 when Oliver doesn't know if he can trust the monitor, it's during those few episodes where Oliver doesn't see him.
This part made so much sense! They should of never deleted this scene.
Technically he was right sayin he caused all this ya know 🤔😉
Honestly this crossover was bad for all the expectations I had as a fan all of the stuff leading up to this they could’ve had done better
We need season 9🏹💚
He didnt fail, he did find answers in Nanda Parbat, and the kids role are to be given a better life because of Crisis
damn now this explains a lot!
In this scene Monitor tells Oliver that he failed to retrieve Dr.Wong, but in the second episode Oliver was successful in retrieving Dr.Wong. This scene contradicts what happened in second episode.
Really mad about how they ended the arrow, I get why but I miss it:(((
It's a shame they left this show at a cliffhanger. JJ(Deathstroke) remembers what happened in the previous reality and they leave the show like that. I really wanted to know what happens after he gets his memory back. I hope they make a spinoff to explain what happens after that.
This would’ve made sense. This is Crisis of Infinite Earths. Don’t worry about how long the crossover is
Why would they delete this? This would make sense on why they stayed for the rest of the season.
Poor Arrow you deserved more than what CW did to you...the fans deserved better.
I think it was a perfect way to end arrow.
Green arrow fans? That would be the same as saying that there are aquaman (comics) fans.
I miss arrow
It irritates me that they would leave this out mainly because it answers something I was wondering ever since Oliver said the kids needed to go back. I kept saying, "Why not just call Barry? Or Sara?" esp since it was said in the episode before this that he was just talking to Sara about League stuff.
This is a great scene, I'm not sure why they didn't include this in there. If anything it explains why they are there. Plus him ruling out the option of using time travel and referencing Barry and Sara was nice as well. Totally should have left this in 100%.
Saudade da minha série e saudade do meu lindo e perfeito casal especial Oliver e Felicity 💔💔💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭😭😭
Should have kept this scene why delete this??
XxBluewolfXx time constraints
This is probably the loudest I’ve seen Oliver yell at someone
Triforce Addiction
*cough* Adrian Chase! *cough*
Triforce Addiction “I wanted to, and I liked it”?
Quadruple A the Meme Master
Exactly what I was thinking too! Oliver yelling here definitely was no where near the loudest and probably not even in the top 10.
Damn thats deep
Bro I miss arrow man
This whole scene is amazing. It even fixed some plot holes. And I know they did a similar scene with diggle. But this is a tv show where they can include both and it’s about Oliver so why not include this amazing scene
This scene was definitely in the version I watched
Closure.
I didn't understand the writing for the first few episodes of this season. The Monitor told Oliver someone more powerful than him was coming. Why did Oliver insist on trying to "stop" the Monitor anyways
should have watched the show I guess
Because Oliver got easily fixated on things and in the perception he had of other people. He convinced himself the Monitor was lying and manipulating him and that he was the one causing Crisis and nothing was gonna disuade him of the contrary, also because he was in denial about his death so he was still, stubbornly, pushing back.
Also he found an old league of assassins thing that describes a destroyer he thought was Mar Novu (but was actually the Anti Monitor)
Okay come on this should have been kept in. It even has an Oogway quote. 🤣
I mean...Oliver was right he just didnt exactly know how.
Stephen does such a great job in this scene!
Also did oliver know that the monitor caused crisis?
I mean not before but after watching crisis on infinite earth and looking back at this deleted scene oliver was basically right he did cause it
@@ajwebhead21 So he didn't know during this scene right?
@@georgiakara9090 he thought that the Monitor is the cause of it cause of the ancient book from the episode that has Thea in it
@@thanos6635 ohhh. Now I get it thanks

Monitor: “They too have a role to play.”
Oliver: “In Crisis?”
Monitor: “Indeed.”
Oliver: “That you caused!”
I’m just going out on a limb here but I’m pretty sure Oliver knew that the Monitor caused the Crisis
They should have kept this in
This scène is so intense 😨
"Such hubris, that you think you could fathom the workings of the entire multi-verse... but yeah sorry my bad"
I hate watching deleted scenes because it makes no sense for them to take these scenes out and it frustrates me
Shoulda kept this scene
Too bad they shitted on Stephen Amell and gave him a terrible ending for his character
Anyone else think the monitor didn’t actually do much?
Kinda Funny seeing this Then remembering how kinda minor the Monitors role was in the Final battle imo ..
Why didn’t they added this scene this explained so much why he didn’t send them back!
Stephen Amell is such an amazing actor ppl should put him in movies like awhile ago
Why in the hell did they leave this out? I always wanted to know how Oliver reacted to his kids coming from the future
Who here was hoping it would be Slade Wilson?
Stephen Nguyen Slade deserved to be in this season
the monitor's such a tool
We shoulda got this scene
