Uh.. Hermione was Gryffindor..? She was the smartest in her year. Tom Riddle also. You can still be smart and be in another house. "Being smart" or "being brave" or "being loyal, cunning etc etc" alone isn't enough to place one in a particular house, that's cliche, it's never been that black and white. Someone made a good point that both RM and Jin show self-sacrificing characteristics and will put others first, let others win, that is a very Gryffindor characteristic. Jungkook excels because he values skills and knowledge and *_works_* at it, is curious and competitive and determined to be great; *_THIS_* is Ravenclaw. I think RM was spot on in his placements, the more I think about it.. Slytherin describes Jimin (and to a lesser degree, Yoongi) to a t, Slytherins can be sensitive and caring, they are ambitious and shameless and hard on themselves (can lack confidence and love compliments), great students. I think it's more about where your values lay, than the skills you possess. *Edit:* nevermind, the video describes it better than I can, lol.

Ravenclaw doesn't always mean smart. Ravenclaw also does have curiosity, and wittiness.
