Why the repeated use of the word babu moshai in the show! The history of entitlement and the sheer hypocrisy of the bengal renaissance that produced the class of the babu moshais way back in the 19th century reeks of a nostalgia for the bhadroloki identity that is never synonymous with the whole of bengal... This fetishization (almost comical) of a hackneyed bengali elit identity provides no cultural immunity against the wrongs that are happening everyone in bengal at the moment.. the babu culture won't provide any solace or solution... also, vague euoogizations are boring... Embrace the sheer complexity of Ray, don't just pay mindless obeisance to him...

I am bengali and I can assure you that bengalis respect and love satyajit ray and rabindranath tagore but WE DO NOT WORSHIP THEM. Maybe Mr. Boria does but we, common bengalis don't.
