you're zelda is so unique and players like you being able to have distinct approaches to characters is what makes P+ such a fun game IMO. I'd be so curious to see what your sheik would look like if you added it for certain matchups that are bad for zelda in the future
I'm the sole dev for P+ Zelda (and Project M 3.5 and 3.6). The stuff in this video is mostly all correct but- Zelda fair sweetspot wasn't massively enlarged, the small hitbox that's gone was the "super sweetspot" that used to do 22% and killed 30% earlier. I removed that from 3.02 coming into 3.5 in 2014. Also, someone should tell this kid that I heavily over-tuned Zelda's upthrow, which often mimics Falcon throw > knee but with the choice of 3 different knees.
PLEASE get rid of Transform and give Zelda Phantom Slash. Out of the 5 of us in the world that main Zelda, probably only one will switch to Sheik, ever.
Since Borp is a Shiek main and Antoine is a zelda main we need someone to come along and combine their playstyles to make the true king of anti wavedash
I love that you let all of your scene just vent about this matchup. Amazing video, have always loved P+ Zelda casually but this is such a great deep dive
Starting playing PM casually vs my friend and now RUclips is sending me banger PM-related content, this vid was a neat insight into zelda pm nicely done
This was actually a really cool video! Everything from the base concepts to the visual examples and clips were really well put together and made it easy to follow along with. I think even without a decade of playing the game you could watch it and come out with a solid grasp of the techniques, and why Antoine is impressive for thriving without using them
Dude, I know almost nothing about Smash or other games like Etrian Odyssey but you make the topics so interesting and engaging. Everything about the production of your vids is on point. Great stuff, awesome to see you branching out!
Amazing video! I subscribed to this channel because of the Fates character videos, but this video was also engaging. I like how you interviewed the people for this video. Though I'm not familiar with Project M/Melee, this topic is interesting to watch because it's seldom to see Smash videos about Zelda. Keep up the good work!
Excellent video, it warms my heart to see fun and informative content like this getting made for P+... I hope you make more, this made me want to visit Hawaii! That said, though, the nerd in me feels a need to correct some of the technical information presented about the game: At 4:06, a player says that being heavier allows characters to act faster out of throws. This is untrue, as weight is actually set to 100 for the purpose of all throw-knockback calculation. What weight does affect, though, is the length of the throw animation itself (usually - some throws act entirely independently of weight). This means that, rather than the person being thrown acting faster, the thrower themself acts later out of their throw. Fall speed and percent are the determining factors in how far someone goes from a throw.
I love your channel, Bad at Life! Always have. Thanks for the video edit: this video is utterly insane. Such good story telling LOL, edited to perfection.
Nice video and easy to follow as someone who knows not much about P+. It's always a good time watching the Hawaii players duke it out. Would def wanna see Antoine participate at a mainland tourney.
Great video! Very well put together, and a wonderful spotlight for an amazing player I didn't know about! I wasn't expecting this subject from you, I had to double-check it wasn't like tdfw or someone else at first lol, but this was amazing, great job!
Some dope setups in there, definitely steal those xD well played Antoine, l-cancel nair is worth learning! Way to show success without "M E L E E F U N D A M E N T A L S"
People want to compare Antoine to Borp cause of the no tech thing. But to be honest they really aren't that comparable. Borp was a social experiment, his goal was to simplify the game as much as possible and simply, guess right. Spotdodge is a guessing game so Borp abused it. Antoine doesn't do that, they are simply a masterful Zelda player who doesn't need tech to win I've heard Borp used as an example of an inspiration for those who can't do tech, bit I feel that is misguided due to Borp's playstyle being so irreplicable, but this? This is inspirational.
My impression is that Zelda in Project+ is a character that feels like a sorcerer... And Antoine is playing her like a sorcerer! None of the techniques that let you move really fast are how he fights, because he's too busy doing the magic nonsense!
Zelda is sick. She's the character I play when I want to piss off my friends lol. I'm not good enough to win an entire set with her, but throwing her in will usually get me a game. Only time I've beaten one of my friends in an actual tournament set was with Zelda on the final game, fun stuff. I think if she was just a little bit faster, she'd shoot up the tier list.
This is great. As an FE enjoyer I'm probably going to avoid as much fates content as possible, but if you do more videos on p+ and its players ill watch that for sure
The Hawaii P+ peeps do local tourneys and stream it on Twitch. Today happens to be one of their tourneys around 6 PM (HST). Antoine and all the others in this video should be participating. Twitch channel is Kreb_01.
bro is using zelda like ssf2t claw pokes that deal a crazy amount of damage/knockback but don't have followups, and using a neutral skip to put the opponent in a guessing game the moment the button is pressed
I like how they all seem like good friends
Thanks for having us! P+ Zelda is an amazing character, I love cooking with her kit.
Also up smash out of shield makes for good hand warmers.
you're zelda is so unique and players like you being able to have distinct approaches to characters is what makes P+ such a fun game IMO. I'd be so curious to see what your sheik would look like if you added it for certain matchups that are bad for zelda in the future
Rare breed

Its not specifically mentioned/shown but he is very aware of the U-throw to Knee. It hurts 🥲.
This comment has also been sent to him.
Yeah I abandoned the Roy/Zelda matchup against him cuz the uthrow -> fair/upair window is so massive LOL, we def have to deal with it.
umbreon?
PLEASE get rid of Transform and give Zelda Phantom Slash. Out of the 5 of us in the world that main Zelda, probably only one will switch to Sheik, ever.
Calling it now, this guy is the Borp of Project M.
Ain't that Pannenkoek2012's brother
Literally what I was thinking 😭
This only works cause it's not melee lol and project plus is a mix of melee and brawl tech so it's not surprising, plus zelda has buffs too
Since Borp is a Shiek main and Antoine is a zelda main we need someone to come along and combine their playstyles to make the true king of anti wavedash
Honestly i play ultimate zelda in a similar way
I don't care about Project plus at all but this video was awesome! You're just fantastic at making videos, never stop.
I love that you let all of your scene just vent about this matchup. Amazing video, have always loved P+ Zelda casually but this is such a great deep dive
holy shit it's Hugh-Jay!
who is your P+ main?
@@kennythekid130 when I play casually I mess around most with Marth and Zelda (since I play Melee Marth and Ultimate Zelda)
we love to see zelda mains winning!
Starting playing PM casually vs my friend and now RUclips is sending me banger PM-related content, this vid was a neat insight into zelda pm nicely done
The FE Birthright/P+ overlap has got to be minimal, but BOY am I here for it!!!!! This feels targeted (in the best way imaginable)
I totally did NOT realise this was Bad At Life lmao. I'm here for it though.
For real I love those games and pm. I’d love to see a pm remix video
oh wow you're right. Clicked on the video, saw who uploaded it, and I was like "oh I know this guy he's the one who makes the videos like this" 🥶
This was actually a really cool video! Everything from the base concepts to the visual examples and clips were really well put together and made it easy to follow along with. I think even without a decade of playing the game you could watch it and come out with a solid grasp of the techniques, and why Antoine is impressive for thriving without using them
oooh someone's gonna pull in a bigger audience
I know LOL
Their community seems so awesome :) cool video thanks for sharing

this was such a good vid! I loved getting the chance to play antoine when he came to Texas. great guy!
I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THERE WAS A HAWAII P+ SCENE? THIS IS SO SICK
This video is such high quality, loved watching this. Zelda rep is also always nice to see

This was such an amazingly well made video. I'd love to see you make more Project+ content in the future
P+ zelda is awesomne

Finally a video that Zelda deserves!
Trapping the ledge with fireball and tping to the platform was genius
I love your channel, Bad at Life!
Always have. Thanks for the video

I smell a big *smash* hit video in the making
This makes me want to find a local community to play with. I’m very new to P Plus but absolutely love it so far!
Same bro
I love these types of videos about smash players that use weird niche overlooked characters and just dominate the scene
Sick video, hope to come visit yall one day the scene seems dope :)
Get over here! 😂😂
@@tashtips4657 I'm lookin into it but flights are so expensive!! Gotta save up lol
I know this dude, I swear he l-cancelled in melee back in 2004, but then we played brawl for years.... my b
❤❤ thanks for exposing this NERD (who we love very much)
I'd date this nerd if he isn't taken yet. Oh wai---
&Milk being a fellow Ookami Mio fan? Hell yeah
I wish main game Zelda could play like this.
Tbf Ult Zelda has Phantom and I love Phantom
@@illford I think all of these buffs make up for no phantom
@@illford I'd gladly get rid of phantom for the fire any day
Feels in-character for Zelda
I would like watch 30 more videos like this
Man, such a professional interview and storytelling right here!
This is 100% a video Coney would watch on stream
omg a small youtuber with whom i share niche interests!!!!
Right? FE Fates analyses AND smash? Let's goooo
This is awesome, noy enough people make vids like this for project +
I've only barely tried out project plus but I'm glad to see that I could tell just how insane Din's Fire is
Nice video and easy to follow as someone who knows not much about P+. It's always a good time watching the Hawaii players duke it out. Would def wanna see Antoine participate at a mainland tourney.
love the editing and storytelling of this video and it taught me a toooon to boot 😁
Amazing video!!
Birthright and smash content? Thats a sub
"Because its a balanced game"
Great video. I would love to see more of these
Great video! Very well put together, and a wonderful spotlight for an amazing player I didn't know about! I wasn't expecting this subject from you, I had to double-check it wasn't like tdfw or someone else at first lol, but this was amazing, great job!
Great video man I thought you would be a much larger channel because of the production. Made me want to try out P+ as well.
"nothing he does is a surprise" zelda in a nutshell
Some dope setups in there, definitely steal those xD well played Antoine, l-cancel nair is worth learning! Way to show success without "M E L E E F U N D A M E N T A L S"
This is my favorite video yet about Xenoblade 3, and it doesn't even mention it!
Where'd you go man?
This should be used as a case study for how well balanced P+ is.
absolutely amazing video
Love the graphics to show off the four moves of Zelda’s p+ kit
BALK! Nice video, hope you’re good :)
Enemy: *Exists*
Zelda: SUMMON THE FIREBALLS!
Borp is back baybeeeee!

Easiest sub of my life
Borp but in project + (also subscribed, we can always use more project + content creators)
Shout out to Rimworld in the thumbnail.
Did not think you could get more based but there's BAL P+ content right here on my screen
this sounds conceptually similar to melee puff, just very good defensive tools, but they make it sound really fun to play with
I miss BaL.

I havent played pm in years and Zelda was my fav character. I hope we get Rollback one day.
champaign misses you kenny !
Great video! s/o to the hawaii p+ homies
This is great. As an FE enjoyer I'm probably going to avoid as much fates content as possible, but if you do more videos on p+ and its players ill watch that for sure
zelda is goated
Pm Zelda is fucking amazing happy ppl are talking about it
Din's Arcfire
Shout out to the Zelda Discord.
good video!
So this guy's just Rock Lee? Can't (or refuse to) do the complex stuff so he became a master of the basics?
Cool. My dream character is ducl hunt.
sick
Love the UNI music
Complimentary engagement
I WANT THAT BACK AIR HITBOX AND DIN'S WTF THIS IS SO BROKEN
show this to everyone who is afraid to touch the game because they can’t wavedash etc
A video about p+ Zelda :O epic
I recently picked up Zelda in the previous patch 😅
Ah, Borp 2.0
What I am gaining from this. I, a player who sucks at all the melee tech, have hope.
I'd love to watch more footage but i can't find any on RUclips of Antoine

Tks got a new main
wait why is antoine kinda cute? ugh we love a zelda main!
Behold, someone who has standards for his smash gameplay
huh?
Can we get multihits as consistent as that up smash in ultimate?
Where can i find his gameplay matches?
Careful balk those gamers are sweaty
Zelda's feet 😳
I Wonder how he would perform on ultimate ?
Great job
I miss my wife
this would be impressive if it wasnt zelda real talk
So pm Zelda is min min with lightning kicks yeah I'm good I'll stick to Ult
Completely clueless how you can come to that conclusion lol
no correlation
Mannnnnn screw wave dashing it’s just unecessary
