Akerfeldt is a great composer in his music, oriental, blues, jazz etc. There are influences from many different cultures very universal

Incredible, best Opeth cover I've ever seen (and I have seen a total of three).
To this day, no covers really come close to this one. Transformative enough it sounds fresh and unique, but still close enough to the original with all the hallmark hooks. I'll always come back to this cover, every couple of years or so and jam.

Not gonna lie this randomly popped up and im thinking - being the hyper critical person i am, wait a chick instead of Mikaels death growls? Well she nailed it, almost a perfect contrast so then im like acoustic sounds almost elevator musicish so then i was lets give it to the break down (3:05) and nailed it. Tune really hit its stride after. Well done

The vocals are amazing. Everytime I listen to something with growls in it I wonder how it would sound with clean vocals, and this only made the song better.
Haha not for me, I had to sing along gutturaly to get that same emotion of the original version

If you can cover a song like this exactly, that's impressive...but making it your own is even more so. Amazing job.
"Exact copy" covers are bad because even Opeth can't reproduce the exact sound as in the album version, so they become a worse version of something. Covers like this become a different version of something.
