Paul and Sophie's families have to go back to America to sort out an inheritance from a railway tycoon named Mr Fichini. They must go to Paris first. On the journey, the children imagine this faraway country, full of fantastic animals. In Paris, Sophie, as inquisitive as ever, gets lost in the fabrics department of a big store. Luckily, she finds her mother again and gets a new toy sailing boat that she tries out on the Tuileries pond.

@@user-xk7rb9qu8c My sister wanted a girl, not a boy. Regardless, my nephew certainly wasn't planned. You can have an unplanned pregnancy and still hope for a certain gender.

No offense, but Sophie annoys the heck out of me sometimes, I mean she would stay out of trouble if she didn't disobey her parents all the time. She should be more like me, I have autism but I know better not to do half the stuff she does!!!😠😠
I was sort of like her as a child so I get it, but being the oldest and getting injured all the time (including a coma) gave me more discipline.
