There are many discrepancies too some claims you are making here throughout the program. My daughter was a dual major at Cornell and now she's a second year doctorate student at the Cornell Vet School. Contrary to what it stated in the video, my daughter lived in her dorm room in her freshman year only and she was allowed to live off campus where she remained ever since. While she was at Cornell, she was also fortunate enough to get jobs as a Teaching Assistant for animal physiology at the beginning of sophomore year, and later on for Biochemistry as well while taking all honors courses. Though subjects were hard and workload beyond anyone's imagination, she still managed to pull through and graduated Magna Cum Laude and distinction for her Honor's thesis. Though I have always known that my daughter is an extremely hard worker, and she still had time enough to volunteer at the local Humane Society on most weekends, etc. This just proves that with enough determination and willingness to work, anyone can prosper at any of the Ivy League schools. Did my daughter have fun while she was at school? Heck, yeah! She absolutely loved everything Cornell, the professors, fellow students, the students she was assistant teaching and the job at the Cornell Vet School lab... well, except the insanely cold Winters... She's unique in some ways but not that unique... Just a good student who believed in her own abilities and how far she could push herself, and to remember to have fun whenever she could manage to have a little time off... So you see, all these brilliant young scholars I see in this video have what it takes to achieve as high as my daughter had or any of her fellow students. As for the Cornell Gorge, in order to prevent student suicide, they have since strictly limited the access to the area with nets and raised all bridge railings...
Well I guess students who do suicide are just some of the students among all. I believe this documentary didn't say all of the Cornell students are suffering from their school life
