My first drive around PTC before moving here was at night. I remember saying to myself, " I know there is supposed to be a city in this forest somewhere."

the great mystery is why the PCT plan was not copied Everywhere!!!! It just seems like the obviously most correct way to do things in real estate development in all aspects. Pollen is the only detriment to Utopia.

Most of the drone footage you showed included many hardwoods and few pines. We lived in Peachtree City for almost 30 years and I worked at Ft MacPherson and later near the airport. I found traffic much more manageable than that around the other directions. Also lived in Sandy Springs for 8 years. Traffic in Sandy Springs was not problematic, but if you wanted to go anywhere else, say Downtown, Buckhead, Gwinnett County, etc., traffic was almost always bad. If you listen to the traffic reports on the radio, they rarely mention any problems in South Fulton, Fayette, or Coweta Counties. The Downtown Connector, I-285 anywhere, I-75 north and south, I-85 in Dekalb and Gwinnett are the traffic tie ups are usually found. Hardwoods are much more common than pines in PTC. Peachtree City's popularity drives the higher housing costs and the limited space for residential expansion contributes a lot. Peachtree City is pretty much built out and new construction has moved to Fayetteville and Tyrone (in Fayette County) and Newnan, Senoia, and Sharpsburg (in Coweta County) for newcomers wanting to be closer to the airport and have more space than you can find in the other suburbs.

The bubble that once was is now a shell of its former self. Coweta has swooped in and built the things people in Fayette were looking for with less crime. Instead of the big data center on 54 there should have been a Costco and green park area. The data center was a big waste of wooded area. Fayette county failed PTC and PTC failed Fayette county as they have always operated as two separate identities. All the building across the PTC line in Coweta helped Coweta pick up the ball and run with it. The high flaunting people that say they are from the PTC area because of name only have had that slowly slip away as now when PTC is mentioned is just when someone asks how to get to a certain store the conversation just says well you just PASS through PTC. As for one who has been here a life time and seen the smugness of PTC I love that this is happening. PTC is now just a pass through to something bigger and better.

You’re contradicting yourself of both Pro and Con of commuting to Atlanta. Commuting to route 85 alone is 20 minutes I wouldn’t say it is a great commute. It is more a Con.

good video, would be better if you didn’t use an ai generated image for your thumbnail when there’s countless real images to use of Peachtree.
