Those "VIN" numbers are stamped on a hundred different places on the vehicle. Generally VIN tag locations are not published. Most manufacturers, if not all, have hidden vin stamping & tags. The exact locations are closely held and usually only shared with law enforcement agencies and insurance companies for positive identifications.
Wrong advice from the reporter and the authorities. Even if you check the federal sticker the vin there can match the one on the dash. And the history report will say nothing about that. What you need to do is PPI! Pre-purchase inspection! Bring the car to a certified mechanic or even better-brand dealer. They will check the car and will check if the vin matches the stamped vin on the chassis! This is where stupid criminals fail. If the seller refuse to allow you to do a PPI- run. It is astonishing how many people do not want to spend 150 or 200 dollars today for their peace of mind.
Well, these are coming from dealerships selling to fraud people, the banks, and dealerships should check, facial recognition, fingerprints, dna before handing a 60 or 75k vehicle over. It's there mistake. Not some joe bob, who buys an suv thinking it's got a clear title.
@ not fishy at all. key boxes can be broken into, cars can be programmed remotely, original keys can be cloned, heck if you have the money and the connections you can make a new key right there for the car you want.
Stop buying vehicles online from regular people. If you're dumb enough to buy vehicles online, then you deserve what you get. Buy cars from the dealership.
That stands, Dont worry about that, let the Federal polic, use that to deal with The Bodybuilder streets of Chicago Illinois organizations members in Chicago Illinois. The federal Polic needs to Finesse to get those Bodybuilder streets of Chicago Illinois organizations guys.
It's so dumb people keep stealing all these Hemi powered vehicles. Hemis are trash and its a 90% chance the camshaft is going to wipe out several lobes and the lifters will fail destroying the engine in these Gen # Hemis.
You guys are a scam!! I am a dealer and run into stolen cars sold online everyday. When I contact the police about it, they want nothing to do with them. There were even situations where i set up meetings with the thieves and stolen cars. When I called the cops, there exact words to me is they don’t have a department that handles stolen cars but if I buy it I can bring it to the police station and they can verify it and then seize if it comes back stolen 😂what a joke!! Cops out there are scared to go after the thieves so they wait for the average Joe buys it and then take it from them. This is not right and needs to be a change
Worked on these cases since 2018. The best way to get the real VIN is to use an OBD reader.
easy to swap ECU/PCM's.
Retags have been a thing forever.
Another place they can go to get a stolen VIN is that someone would go to a wrecking yard and take a photo of a car VIN that was wrecked or scrapped.
@@frankdenardo8684 🤔 Thanks ✍🏽📝🏃🏽♂️
Why do they keep calling the victin a "Consumer"?

1 million cars a year? That's insane
Some of those stolen cars are faked by people that are behind in payments.
Wats insane is I can't work at uber but trump can be a felon president 😊
These folks love dodges for some reason. The srt hellcat marketing has them in a chokehold.
Yes.
HelKCraps are garbage 🗑️
Tell the seller to meet you at the police station to check the vin in order to buy the vehicle
Do the cops know their Microsoft computers are spying on them? Probably not.
If you are dumb enough to buy something that could be stolen. then you are a fool
Don't buy a car through social media or take them to the DMV, and make deal through them by filling out the paperwork.
That blue SRT gonna become the municipality cop car soon. ;)
How can they be sold when you don’t have the title?
hey i have a car. ok cool i want that one. thanks. oh wait i forgot the title. fuck. times 1 million
Don't know, how a high tech bank or dealerships are getting conned out of a 75k suv. Seems fishy.

@@yesman3601 do you know what a title is?
@@tvviewer4500 yes, the title of a vehicle showing you own the car.

Get robbed online, get robbed by a dealership. No matter what, we are in a lose lose situation.
Can't tell if he's serious or sarcastic 🤪

The El Rukns Science Brothers Upgraded the aggression level in Chicago Illinois to 2nd level of aggression. (if you know what I mean) Hint HINT.
Somebody is Operating outside their pay grade.
No wonder r car insurance rates r so high!!
I suggest people use tiles and airtags and hide them all over their car/suv to make it easy to track it yourself, then rely on police and such.
I didn't know SoS had a LE branch 😮
So they "changed" the vins
They retagged the stolen car with different vin🤦🏽 im like how tf are the "cloning" 😒

Omg sooo sad 😢smh
Wow lmfao would be joliet
cloning has to do with organisms and dna. you can't clone a vin.
You can clone programs, credit cards, etc.
@@thefucrew9865 no you can't. you can make copies. you can duplicate. but you can not clone those items. they have no dna.
If the deal is too good, it maybe stolen..
