I awitched to straight co2 and middle of the road solid core wire, once you do you'll never go back . Very clean smooth welds .
Awesome video! I was able to pick up a titanium flux 125 and going back on your flux core videos has been super helpful!
Great to hear!
Thanks for watching!
Prolly out of luck but, TANKS, TANKS, TANKS or CYLINDERS, CYLINDERS, CYLINDERS!! I want to make the jump from flux core non-gas to real, honest to goodness Mig or GMAW but I've been sucked into this black hole of cylinders. All I want is an 80 cu/ft 75/25 cylinder so I can start welding. What I'm finding is some places charge ridiculous prices for the "swap meet process" or if you find a great deal on a brand new, completely filled cylinder with all the current certs for pressure testing and DOT stamps --you can't get the damn thing filled or swapped out if it ever runs out! I feel like I've entered some bizzarro world where everyone's either covering their A$$ or trying to rip you off --or both! And the price of these things --holy banana peels Batman!!! Anyway, thanks for the vids. Your channel has been very helpful for someone trying to learn on their own how to weld and I thank you for that!
Thank you
After my flux core skills improve I think I’m doing stick next. Then gas mig. I don’t want to deal with tanks yet.
If you already flux weld then mig will be a breeze, just a money investment. Stick is good to learn as well.
What size was that tank and how long did it last ?
I would recommend doing a video on gas cylinders, great video. Thanks a lot.
Great suggestion! Thanks!
great info i would recommend doing a video on gas cylinders not to many out there
That is actually on my list of video to do, stay tuned!
Tks for the video. Very instructive. What flux core weld machine brand model do you recommend to purchase for beginner and after a while jump from. Flux core to a Mig weld machine?
For entree level I think the Titaniums and Yeswelders are good. Start with this:
yeswelder.com/collections/welder-cutter/products/gasless-mig-welder-135a?ref=uDQs4bv7pZQF3
Then move up to this for MIG:
yeswelder.com/collections/mig-welder/products/mig-welder-mig205?ref=uDQs4bv7pZQF3
HF are good because they are local. Yeswelder are nice becasue they are a bit cheaper and you can use my code! MECHMASTER
Can I use that as a Mig in the future?
@@innando not the 135. Yes on the 205
Does the CO2 work well as a MIG gas?
Yep, works great. The shops I work with just use CO2 because it's cheaper and does just a good of job.
@@-DIYPRO- Thank you 👍👍
How is the flux put inside the hollow Flux Core wire?
It's placed in a very thin sheet, then rolled to make the wire
