That made me cry. Yes, prisoners in jail have made mistakes, but people can turn their lives around, want to contribute and make the best of their time in jail. Everything I've researched this program is a win win.

the great thing about bringing these dogs into these men's lives is it helps them tap into their gentle, loving and fatherly side which they are usually far removed from when first arriving into confinement. it also helps them learn to be confident, responsible and loving leaders that then helps them develop self esteem and a mind set that seeks to serve others instead of themselves.

Greg, OMG! Well said! I agree with you 100%. Prison must be a lonely, unloved place, the dogs bring some life and love into their lives while (hopefully) they are trying to put their lives back together. Nothing softens a heart like a dog.

Seeing these big burly men talking baby talk to their pups just melted my old heart! These gentlemen are learning unconditional love from these beautiful furry angels, because they are being loved--perhaps for the first time--by someone who has no hidden agenda and bears no judgment on the reason(s) their handlers are there. A true win-win! 💖

ANNA ALINA lol prison ain’t about punishment it’s about rehabilitation if that’s not what comes out of the place they’ll find them selves back there which happens more often then not doing these things is a great way to achieve that give them a taste of the outside world keeps them cool headed even something small like carrying for about will restore those broken bonds to life

@@cexir7759 Life sentences are about removing dangerous people from society. Also prison is a punishment, hence why it's a prison. The harsh reality is intended for people to be aware of what happens when they mess up and not to do it again

And what's really great about this program is that these inmates are given what they really need by these dogs instead humans they were with before they became inmates... Sad background story for both, but a promising future...

This is why I say and I will keep saying, WE NEED TO IMPLEMENT MORE RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN US PRISONS. Other countries like Sweden, Norway and Poland have reforming programs in which inmates learn a work trade, get a room of their own and get yard time. They literally let the prisoners walk around like human beings. This in return causes violence levels to diminish and allow for prisoners to return to society reformed. Now I know in the US is easier said than done, and not EVERYONE deserves this chance but it would probably help to learn from other countries and videos like these.

    This is true rehabilitation. 🤍
Just like the man says every dog has its own individual just like everyone of these inmates are. Every human is capable of redemption and change and deserves the opportunity to have that just like abused and unwanted animals. Love heals. Love wins. I know these programs are becoming more popular but it’s still just scratching the surface of the profound difference this could make for inmates and animals throughout the entire penal system.
