Recently picked this game up again. With some effort I managed to get gold on all B and A license tests. But might have to tap out on the IB series. Was doing okay until I hit the cone slalom courses. Got silver, but can't seem to get the rhythm down well enough for gold (even getting the silver feels flukish). For the city courses especially and also the rally courses, I get frustrated that the game's pass/fail standards for hitting a wall seem very inconsistent. Seeing you get gold without hitting a wall on IB-9-12 especially is inspirational though.
@@monke1228 I was just using a controller. Yeah some of those tests are extremely difficult to gold. There is a way I think if you push the analog stick down that you can see the ideal driving line for the b and a license tests and that is some help. But that’s gone for ib.
@@monke1228 I did gold all the B and A rank licenses but not IB or beyond. Even the B ones were hard to gold though...I actually took a picture of my results from one attempt at B-13. After trying for a while I got a time of 22.651s and the cutoff for gold was 22.650s. It took several more tries to shave that thousandth of a second off.
My worst enemies: IB-4: because I couldn't arrive in time; IB-6 and 7: Because they're annoying as hell; IB-9: Because the car's steering was hard IB-11: Crashing almost every time; IB-12: Same as IB-4; IB-13 and 14: Same as IB-4 and 9; IB-16: Just like in IB-11.
Undoubtedly the IB-15 is the most challenging! You only get gold using the manual gearbox, and it still has to be perfect throughout the circuit, especially at the end of the climb. You can't lose speed and you need to shift gears at the right time! Sem dúvidas IB-15 é a mais desafiadora! Você só consegue ouro usando o câmbio manual, e ainda tem que ser perfeito durante toda o circuito, principalmente na parte final da subida. Você não pode perder velocidade e precisa trocar as marchas no momento exato!
Cade Ellsworth just learn racing lines and when to accelerate & decelerate. i just did it in automatic and with the DualShock, and also recently got all ib gold. But yes, the struggle is real

Why the hell is the car going so slowly going down the IB-5? This is very boring and gets in the way. You need to slow down so you don't hit or overtake him! Porque raios o carro que vai adiante fica tão devagar na descida da IB-5? Isso é bem chato e atrapalha naquele trecho. Você precisa desacelerar para não bater nele ou ultrapassá-lo!
I know the game playing gran turismo for 10 years. But my any car doesn't handle like ones in the video. This guy's cars are not sliding or missing the line. And he can't tune the suspension because of these are licence cars. As the conclusion he got out game settings or invalid setting makes that much downforce. Even my 5 year old cousin can nail this licences with such a downforce.
Wheel + pedals = 10 times faster and more accurate than a joystick. This looks like a PS2 version; on emulators you can use gamesharks probably. This was in 2012, I do not think there were many computers able to play GT4 on emulator because of emulation itself; it depends only on CPU.

Dat downforce driving requires not much skill at all.
Try the Yellowbird on Nurb with Sport Hards or less, no assists ofcourse. Not every car handles like in Oversteer Corsa.

I know, I am currently playing GT4 on my 2002 PS2. One of the best games ever made.
