    Not your mothers curl talk sculpting gel is also great in humidity! I used it the other day on a super humid day and was shocked how good my hair looked after a walk! Glycerin is one of the top ingredients fyi but my hair doesn’t mind Glycerin
    Cake Curl Whip and Herbal Essence Body Mousse (orange can) are also great strong hold mousses! I typically prefer mousse over gel and these have the hardest hold from any mousse I’ve ever tried.

    • @GenaMarie

      For dry weather, you'll want to look for film-forming humectants such as flaxseed, aloe, etc. The Curlsmith Souffle is great for this: tidd.ly/3PTRsbW
      Or this: goto.target.com/Ygj0Qq
      For humid times, you'll want to use one of the gels I mentioned in the video though.

    • @mauryamm2154
      @mauryamm2154 Год назад +1

      Two things I think: make sure you’re not using too much of the other products (leave in, curl cream, volumizer, etc.) under the Ouidad gel, and I usually finish (right before diffusing) with a little bit of the Curlsmith hard hold gel (Shine Gel or In-Shower Style Fixer) mixed with the Oiudad and a bit of water and just glaze or scrunch it on. The combo of these two tips made a huge difference in how the Oiudad works for me!

    • @mandyratliff6285
      @mandyratliff6285 Год назад +1

      There are 2 versions of the Ouidad gel. The white label one gives less hold but the red label one gives stronger hold. I find using too much of a moisturizing product under it decreases the hold, as does applying it to soaking wet hair. I plop my hair for a few minutes so that it's still very wet, but not dripping wet before I apply this gel. Too much cream, leave-in, or water dilutes any gel on my hair. I have medium texture, medium to high porosity hair.
