I liked seeing Steve get married but the season after that in my opinion got "different". When basically everyone left except for Ernie they should have ended the show
Dad grew up in Philadelphia and when he watched originally eps of MTS he didn’t get any of the SoCal references. Now he lives in SoCal and has been to all places they mentioned!
The "Debbie" episode of My Three Sons could easily pass for an episode of The Brady Bunch, whereas Barbara refuses to let an insecure young woman take advantage of her family(Carol would've done exactly the same thing, too)!!!
Yes the character Polly was unlikable to me. Coninved Chip to get married then whined about their life. Just a character but annoying she was. Actually Dotie ended up getting on my nerves to. Fake cry when she didn't get attention. 😆 😆
We’ve haven’t seen these eps in 50 years - maybe a few in reruns but not whole seasons - and they are really good!
And I continue on crying 😢 happy tears
Thanks for sharing.
Older seasons are better..ty for posting
Love this show!
1970-71 season, My Three Sons aired on the same night as Mary Tyler Moore, Saturday nights on CBS!!!
The wholesome shows taught about life's up n downs, not drugs N sex
I like this series. The best overall.
Steve Douglas & The Original Puffy Shirt!
I like all but especially when Katie was brand new😀
I prefer the older seasons before Steve got married. They were funnier.

POLLY WAS A HUGE MANIPULATIVE CHICK WHO WAS SEEKING A HUBBY TO GET AWAY FROM STRICK TOO TOUGH OVERBEARING DAD.
@@mrsheatherteske they did
They were more charming in the beginning, too.
I feel Polly’s character wanted out of her family and was in love with love and Chips family! It is a sad situation.
I love Uncle Charlie 😂❤
Me too, he's my favorite one on the show.
We just saw on RUclips that Tina was BG’s daughter-in-law IRL for a while!
Sometimes I wish they would do a reboot. Of these shows, that would be so cool

I always noticed the shadows from the sun in the fake night scenes. Trees do not have shadows around them at bedtime 🤣🤣🤣
The eps about Polly finding out about the Douglas Fam is very interesting.
I love most all of them.

I think the actor who played uncle Charlie was born in the 1800’s 😮
William Demerast Born: Feb 27, 1892
William Frawley known as Bub Born: Feb 26, 1887
I didn't know barberas college boyfriend was peter gun.😅
I hated these episodes where Polly traps Chip.
Polly needed a cracker
Traps???
It’s a shame Ernie grew up to be Mike Johnson.

The rob character acts like a jerk to his wife sometimes. wonder why they wrote it like that when every one else written nicely.
They actually dated on and off during the show. Wonder if it reflected their actual dynamic
That was the mentality of marriage in the 1970.
Who was Uncle Charlie? Was he really their uncle? Or was he a live in housekeeper?
He was their uncle and if I remember correctly, a retired merchant marine.
Charlie was a real uncle. He was the brother of Steve’s first Father-in-law.
@@mgoldman60yes, he was Bub’s brother
Great uncle and housekeeper. I remember asking my mother if he was a housekeeper when I first started watching that show in 1966. She said he was.
I loved Katie, Barbara and even Dodie, but Polly just got on my nerves.

@@Lynn-rf1kc yes, Dodie got on my nerves as well but not as badly as Polly did lol
Fun fact: Don Grady wanted the actress who played Polly to originally play Katie. Dodie was my least fave.
Polly seemed so pushy with Chip.
Her real life dad played Dr. Joe Early on Emergency.
Can't believe they married Chip off at age 18. What a drag.
And he and Polly eloped!
Can't stand Polly or her father. Not sure about the mother. Why do they call someone named Robert Chip?
it was Richard not Robert
I can't stand Polly or her horrible father, either!
His name was Richard.
If you watch the earlier series, Polly’s mother also played the mother of Sally, the girl who married Mike.
@@gailgriffith6243 Yep, Doris Singleton did the honors both times.
polly ruined chip
Talk about misogyny.
