I love doing stuff out in the shop that the wife does not like me doing inside. Melting wax for fire starters is one of those things. I hope to have the shop turned into a "family party shed" by this summer.

Very cool this is the first video I've ever seen of somebody using one of those old stoves!

Bro, I have been waiting for a place to put my stove for 12 years. I am so happy to have it back up and working again. It is so convenient to have a stove under cover that I can play around with!

The crimp is facing the wrong way. It is supposed to always face down toward the stove. This is so that creoosote will drip inside the pipe down toward the stove. Otherwise, the way it is set up it will dribble down the sides of the stove pipe which is unsafe.
Stovepipe should never pass through a wall. That is an unpermitted use. It will rot quickly outdoors. The outside tee at least need a cap on the bottom.

Of course it is unpermitted! I think that is pretty obvious given the content.
The only time I have seen creosote drip is when a chimney is not in use and rain is allowed to come down the chimney. Otherwise, a thin layer of soot builds up and "seals" the pipe. Plus, stove pipe pass throughs are common... they are just expensive. What I did is basically what they are manufactured for, and for my DIY application, it works perfectly.
