    • @PlantsandLucia
      @PlantsandLucia  4 года назад +1

      I watered right after putting it in the soil, and I've been watering every week or so now... It all depends on the environment you likve in but we want to keep the soil moist (not wet) so the roots can establish themselves.. Always make sure that the soil almost dries out in between waterings so you don't overwater your plant :)

    Hi
    My African milk tree is about 3.5 ft tall. Can I take a cutting off the top? Will it continue to grow? Do you think it will branch out? It grows very quickly but I would not want to damage it by cutting off the tip. It's in a pretty good sized pot it seems to be happy but like I said it's just three plants growing straight up. Thank you for your help and ideas.

    • @TommyDaleCooper
      @TommyDaleCooper 2 года назад

      I inherited a 6ft tall 50 year old plant that has been cut completely cut in half at the trunk and many arms removed for propagation many times. Cutting them actually encourages branching. Use a clean cutting tool in the spring or early summer and you should be fine.

    • @PlantsandLucia
      @PlantsandLucia  3 года назад

      These are great questions. For the first one, I can share my experience with our monstera. This is a 30 year old monstera and since she is so big, we cannot repot her completely. We learned that we can remove the top layer of soil every year or so and refill with new soil. This may work for your Euphorbia :).
      Hmm... the browning I don't think is a good sign... How often do you water it? and what method do you use?
      Also, since this plant grows big, I wouldn't propagate it in the same pot, this is just to make sure the roots have space to grow and thrive :)
      Hope this is helpful and we are in contact :)
