The Japanese Air Self Defence Force Band Avenches Tattoo Parade in Murten

- The Japanese Air Self Defence Central Band marching through the Swiss town of Murten on Saturday 2nd September. The were in Switzerland participating in the Avenches Tattoo and travelled to perform in Murten for a short parade followed by a short concert in Mart town square (the other side of the clock tower). This was prior to the band playing in the main tattoo parade that afternoon in Avenches and the actual tattoo performances that evening.

Personal note:
It was a real pleasure to watch and film this amazing band in such beautiful surroundings in Switzerland. A fantastic military wind orchestra!

Never seen this Japanese Military Band before and have to say I'm very impressed with everything, such as the drill and the marching, with the actual music being excellent.
荒んでいた気持ちがこの行進、演奏でとても落ち着き和む事ができました。毎日何回も見ています。この動画を今紛争の起きている国々の人たち、特に上層部の人たちに見て頂きたいです。

A lovely surprise to see a Japanese military band. Great to see and hear.
This brought back a high school memory - my high school band played at the 1970 Osaka World's Fair; leading the nightly parade the first week of the fair - Elmira District Secondary School. Elmira, Ontario, Canada. I played tuba. We were treated extremely well in 1970. I continued music for 37 years in a Canadian army reserve band.
I agree with another comment that this band memorized their marching music! Wow!.

1) 3:30-Cobalt Sky march
2) 7:02-Balmy Breeze in the Sky
3) 10:05-Oh Vrenelli (not 100% sure on this one!)😂

It was a delight to be able to watch them perform! The first Japanese self defence force band I have seen

JASDF are specialized for air defence & never intended to deploy foreigh soils but today the situation has changed a lot & even our domestic forces have to go outside of Japan proper.

Miserable Kamera - Führung ! 😞
Sorry about this! It was my first time visiting the town that morning and there was no prior public plan of the parade so I was having to react to what went on in real time and in a new place to me! Personally I thought some of the editing was fantastic where the camera changes angles without missing any of the music where I’ve joined clips during repeats etc. Thanks for your feedback and I’m sorry I was unable to do a better job at the time!
