I loooooove ducks. It’s so lovely to watch them on your video, reminds me of when I had my rescues - one of them used to crouch down and let me massage her back and after I’d finished she would put on a huge stretching display and flap her wings. Such fascinating creatures ❤

😂❤Danni you're a natural!! Hilarious & really heartwarmng to see the way you deal with your unwanted visitors! We've got a few living in the garden, under the shed, I call them meerkats because people freak out when they know I catch them in a humane trap, drive them to pastures about 5km away in the wild & set them free. I found out the hard way that 1+1 = loads! 🙈 So try & catch them fast. Peanut butter/coconut oil is top of their menu! They're incredibly smart. I know the humane way of catch & release takes way more effort but much kinder than killing. I also put peppermint oil down on the area, they hate that & also if you put any other larger animal's poop around their nests ( like stuarts) they will get the message! Good luck, you're doing a great job & really love your videos. 😊🐶👍❤

best entertainment ever all i could think was what was you going to do with the rat/s when you caught them 🤣

Just a little idea for you; if you stretch that chicken wire you have the holes will be narrower prevent the rats getting through rather than doubling it up up.

Oh Stuart, you had one job! Rats are a nightmare. I was looking after some ducks at work for a while and was constantly doing battle trying to keep the rats out of the duck house! I second what someone else said that only leaving food out for limited periods should help to deter them 💚

Ha ha great video Danni your very brave. How often do you give them peas as we give ours peas as well but now they'll hardly eat the dry feed.

Great video and lovely to see the allotment. I'm moving away from my area early next year so have just given my allotment up, so it was good to visit yours. As for the rat I feel the whole time Stuart is getting pheasant breast live rats might be way down his list.😁

the rats LOL and yeah id agree they may well have done that out of spite, i also have indoor free roaming rabbits and a cat and they all get up to stuff sometimes out of spite sometime just to amuse them selves i think they sure do all have their own little characters

I only just found your channel this morning - it just popped up on my feed. I have to say I love your content & have subscribed. I am astonished by you level of knowledge. Really good stuff!!
As regards the rats - don't you have an air rifle?
FUN FACT - if you put down smaller mesh the rats will simply chew their way through it. You are FEEDING Stuart too much - his attitude to rats would change if he was hungry.
    Best regards & Merry Christmas.

The white pigeon looked to be a Indian fantail cross breed because it has no crest on its head.they have poor homing instinct.so maybe its lost.catch it and have a look on its leg it may have a ring with a phone number on.😊to keep rats in check only have food down for the ducks to feed for 15 minutes and take away.never leave food around especially over night.cheers.danni❤

all wire netting will rust through when in contact with the soil. So more netting will only work in the short term. They will clean you out if you dont get rid of them. Yes theyve a right to live but youre entitled to keep them at bay in your garden. Find a spot that the ducks cant get at and leave dry rice for them. Or check out the numerous examples on th e Tube of simple water bucket kill traps that just kep working for you. They will become an infestation.

They used to say if you can see one, there are twenty more. Feed twice a day and all grain type food should be gone within 30 minutes. Feed your animals not the wildlife.

What she’s doing has been done for millennia. I’d rather see people living this way than eating food that’s grown on industrial scale.
Nothing wrong with how she’s doing things.
Rats are disgusting pests that can ruin your food supply and cause you serious health issues. Why would you want to leave them where you get your food from?
