  • The Amiot 143, also known as 143M or 143 M.5, was a 1930s French 5-seat Multiplace de Combat (M.5) designed to fulfill 1928 specifications for a monoplane capable of day and night bombing, long-range reconnaissance, and bomber escort.
Its distinctive design incorporated 2 × Gnome-Rhône 14Kirs/Kjrs 14-cylinder air-cooled radial engines, each providing 640 kW (858 hp). Despite its promising capabilities, the Amiot 143 faced obsolescence before entering active service.
