As a former call of duty solider and survivalist from both fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R, I can say that the best thing to do in an emergence situation is to level up as much as possible and steal everything, if that doesn't help, you'll just respawn, so no big deal.
With the Birch Bark shavings, have some duck tape or gorilla tape and put the shavings on that to prevent the wind from blowing the shavings away. The tape is also flammable so you get a two for one. I like the pencil sharpener, I have that one in my fire kit as well. Take a pencil with you if you can't find any twigs to fit into the sharpener.

you can improve pine resin glue by adding ash and plant matter like dry deer/rabbit poop or i think cattail fluff would work as well, just melt and mix, coat the end of a stick and let it harden and then you can just melt it again when you need it
“Setting it on fire might reduce it to a wet gloopy gloo” & “bota bing bota boom” & “High amounts of swag right there” made me laugh but the rest is such great advice 👍
Excellent tips, here's one of mine. If you find yourself without access to water or the means to purify dirty water, look for birch, maple or walnut trees . These are common in much of the northern hemisphere and all will yield an edible sap when tapped, containing variable amounts of sugar, effectively a natural energy drink. Worth a google search.
