    Norton fits into this role perfectly because that is what he does in real life sets... he starts to "direct" scenes. As a matter of fact he did this in Am.History X to the point of getting into arguments with the director.

    After Primal Fear I thought Norton couldn't done a better role, but what he did here is beyond everything. Hands down the best living actor.

    Inspiring gem of a movie....really wonderful soundtrack too especially for me the scene with the critic in a bar finishes with Ravel Piano Trio - just sublime.

    Man really cool to hear him talk about this scene. I was trying to find this scene with no commentary because it left an impression on me about how to wright dialogue. Anybody know a link to this scene please post it to my comment!

    Loved this scene so much I had to do a reenactment of it with my buddy. I put it on my channel if anyone wants to see it. Should be the first video that pops up. Don't have to watch it obviously, just wanted to show how much I loved the scene!

      +ja ba Inarritu is not fond of commentaries. He feels they "spoil the magic".

    How is Mike manipulating Riggan in a passive aggressive way?

  • @Sisyphus27

    How is Mike being manipulative and passive-aggressive toward Riggan with his suggestions about cutting lines?

    • @artofadval
      @artofadval 8 лет назад +25

      Mike basically knows he can do better and has more integrity as an artist. He knows Riggan is aware of his status as an artist, and Mike uses this to his advantage. He uses this confidence and charisma to basically lead Riggan in any direction he wants.
      "No, no Riggan. You don't get it. THIS is how you're supposed to do it..."
      Regan just looks at him in awe...
