It's a regular topic concerning people of Mexico, especially around the Guanajuato and west coast area where people have Basque names and certain idiom though most have no idea of their origin and an example of how strong Basque character is even if they are unaware of it.
Makes me wonder if anyone tried to use this as a legal defense during the past century.
