When kai said ugway betrayed him theres a theory that him and ugway were evil before and when they got saved by the pandas ugway turned good which is y kai says he betrayed him
i think they were both just like warriors most likely good, but when kai saw how much power he could have he wanted it all to his self and ugway jus isnt like that.
I think it just stims from the fact that Kai got greedy with power and wanted it all for himsel, but Oogway got in his way instead of standing by his side like he's done for so long, across multiple battles, and hardships he felt like Oogway betrayed him as a brother in arms. Similar to how he saved Oogway and carried him to safety. Although this theory is also really nice cause it gives a nice prospective. Maybe thats why Oogway is so wise. Is it better to be born good or to overcome evil nature? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?
You should watch secrets of the furious five and secrets of the masters, secrets of the scroll, and secrets of the masters next! Secrets of the furious five explains the five’s backstory, secrets of the scroll explains how they became a team and how Po fell in love with kung fu, and secrets of the masters explains how master Rhino, master Ox and Master Croc became a team, and it also has Oogway!
I'm glad you like it so much, most people just believe story-wise is just very weak, as well as how it stripped the lessons Po learned in the first two movies.
It’s honestly a pretty good movie. All of them are. I just wish this movie gave Kai more screen time and more detail to his backstory. They focused too much on the Panda’s

I definitely would say Kung Fu Panda 3 is the weakest one of the trilogy. (Now quadrilogy) only because the other 2 were peak. Kung Fu Panda 1: 10/10 Kung Fu Panda 2: 11/10 Kung Fu Panda 3: 8/10 Kung Fu Panda 4: 5/10
