You need to now (and especially after you finish the next couple arcs) rewatch your videos and listen to your original questions. Especially when you catch up. The foreshadowing is uncanny. Like AOT.
Would just like to mention how overlooked that part where Byakuya let Rukia and Renji go to Hueco Mundo is for Byakuya's character considering that's technically disobeying his superior. It really shows that Byakuya changed a bit since we last saw him in Soul Society.
Something I like about the bleach power system is that your emotional state is extremely important to the potency of your reiatsu. Notice how Ichigo and Grimmjow were fighting extremely evenly, but the second Ichigo got over his worry that he was scaring Orihime, the instant his mind was clear and free of doubt, he instantly defeated Grimmjow despite his mask being extremely worn down.
It was also the same with Kenpachi fight when Ichigo can't slash him the first time, yet he could the 2nd time, Urahara once said that Ichigo isn't weak, but he lacks resolve 'to kill' hence his attacks aren't working on his enemies.... in fact if you watched the latest episode in TYBW this scenario was replicated again...
It's not just that. The focus is specifically on self-acceptance. Ichigo hadn't properly integrated White into himself and was thus not accepting a part of himself, leaving his overall reiatsu and fighting prowess far lower than it should have been. In terms of raw strength, Ichigo leaves Grimmjow in the dust. The only reason there was chance G could win is because Ichigo was fighting Grimmjow AND himself.
21:58 - 22:17 this right here says a whole lot. Why? Bcus Bleach still till this day only has 1 Canon Movie and that's Memories of Nobody which takes place after the Soul Society Arc but before the Hueco Mundo Arc. The Hell Verse Movie was supposed to be the 2nd Canon Bleach Movie but the other people working with Kubo didn't want to listen to him so much that Kubo left it himself and made sure in every DVD release that there was a note from him stating he doesn't support the Movie in any way. However he has made it known that the only thing he likes about the Hell Verse Movie was something that happened in the Hueco Mundo Arc the Movie shows but you haven't touched on that part just yet. So don't worry about me spoiling but I will bring it up when you get to that part though.
I love to watch these video's each time they come out it feels like im rewatching bleach with your oppinions added to it without the commitment to watch the anime all over again
If you didn't like how the anime interpreted the Manga with this Arc I can't wait for you to get to the Thousand Year Blood War Arc were it's gonna do a complete reverse with New Canon Material from Kubo in the *BEST* way possible
@@Mespyy the best part is the animation. Each Season of TYBW gets that much better in animation and you can tell. Which is INSANE considering Season 1 was already Top Notch like better than Demon Slayer (in my opinion). Bleach came back Knocking People Out like Mike Tyson in his Prime 😎

Bleach TYBW went to the A1 SAO UWO animation route where they focuses on special effects and 2D above all else, they adapted the source material's style and just enhanced it. While Demon Slayer and Fate like classic Ufotable went with the blending of 3D CGI and 2D animation. They turned the source material into Ufotable style instead.
Best part of that Chad fight was when he finished it. That punch that cracked the wall in the form of what looks to be a hollow and the scream sound effect that accompanies it...ugh it's legit one of my fav things about Chad, his left arm is 10/10 man
i forgot to mention this, i like chad and new arms are such an interesting power. sucks the fights where uryu and chad got these powers had to be dragged out for as long as they were, puts a sour taste on something that should have been a cool reveal. im excited to see chad use it against someone who isnt the 5th strongest Espada, he got the short end of the stick again lol
I'm really glad your enjoying the arrancar arc, it gets even better. On a side note, just because a arrancar looks human doesn't mean they're vasto lordes. There are only 6 or 7 confirmed vasto lorde by the end of the series. Anyway, great video! I really do enjoy the length, hearing you talk about bleach is nice, lol.

This was given to us by Kubo bcus someone asked him if the Espada bathed themselves and if the Masks get in the way and if what's under the mask stays consistently dirty at all times 🤣🤣
Small correction, Ikkaku wasn’t nerfed in the first place in his fight. Only captains and lieutenants get their powers nerfed in the living world, Ikkaku is 3rd seat

Tite Kubo said if he wasn’t a mangaka he would be a fashion designer instead, it’s the only anime where every single outfit would actually look good in real life even if the fit was designed over 10 years ago. I live and breathe fashion lol I’m obsessed with Kubo’s ability to not only to design amazing looks, but to use fashion as a tool for his characters to express their personality in ways that are relatable. trust me ive seen it lol, i also saw some of Kubos art before watching Bleach and yea the whole cast is fly. Bleach has by far my favorite character designs and artstyle out of the big 3 and probably any anime ive seen so far

Man i can't imagine how Crazy you'll go.. after knowing.. _Every act and Dialogue in BLEACH at the very least has Triple Layered meaning, and Just crazy graphic Foreshadowing that no Anime Does nowadays_ It takes 2-3 reads to actually understand BLEACH 70%, cuz you keep noticing new stuff every ReRead.

Just a note on 11:35, Edorad is not a Vasto Lorde, all the numeros there are the intermediate level of menos grande; Adjuchas. I would say More but i dont want to spoil anything. Just aa heads up, Vasto Lorde are incredibly rare and Powerful. Remember, they are Captain level BEFORE they gain aditional Soul reaper powers and become Arrancar. Great vid!
So I got your first Bleach video in my recommended page and decided to watch it and really enjoyed it, so I watched both Soul society parts and decided to subscribe. It's nice to see others enjoying Bleach but yeah the fights start getting dragged out here, which is why I prefer the manga for this part the pacing gets better for Thousand year blood war. As for the filler arcs I actually enjoyed them, the placements are just bad especially the next one.. except the Bount arc no one likes that arc

The reason ikaku was so powerfull and beat his franca without the relecajo9fbhia power is because his power was bot nerfed. The nerf if I am not mistaken is only on captains and lieutenants. Not on all soul reapers

i try to catch most details, sometimes i miss stuff but there really is a whole lot of foreshadowing and crucial pieces of information in the show that its hard to catch it all
Hey man I just wanted to point out that not all the arrancars you see are Vasto Lorde hollows. The arrancar process gives hollows a human form but most of them are just adjuchas level hollows (and some gillians) :P The human comparison is used when they are just hollows
To further expand on this point the og espadas are the only ones to become vasto lordes to then transform more human like (1-10 if I got that right) while the other numbers were all transformed by aizen which explain why some could be espadas but in fact weaker than true vasto lordes
@@romuluslupa1649 We would get into spoiler territory but only 1-4 are vasto lorde hollows, all of which are natural arrancars. The rest are adjuchas and are arrancars thanks to the hogyoku (except aaroniero who is the only gillian espada).

@Aazel you are not making any sense, we saw them all in their flashbacks and they all looked different since they were just hollows and changed because of the arrancar transformation. Number 1 on the other hand looks exactly the same before and after joining aizen because he was already an arrancar without needing the hogyoku

Also fyi, you understood something wrong, there's 10 Espadas, Aizen and his crew isn't part of that. And Vasto Lordes are extremely rare, only around 5 of the espada are vasto lorde.
Your analysis is really good and on point. The plot flowed so well in soul society and i dont think bleach's writing ever reaches that peak afterwards. The hype chart is always off the scale with bleach tho
I watched bleach when I was a kid on adult swim and this was my favorite arc because of Ulquiorra’s release. First time I thought they actually ended the MC 😂 I’ll be waiting for part 2 Also there is so much to this arc it is insane how they had the budget for it.
Quick corretion, 8 wasn't confirmed as a Vasto Lorde. Szayel used to be Espada 0 when he was still fused with Ylforte Grantz but once they separated he lost the previous power he had. Now, if he was a Vasto Lorde when he was Cien, I don't remember, but as Szyael Aporro he isn't one anymore
@@vcamv2354 my bad, yep I meant when he was still espada Cero. I forgot what chapter but it was in the novel where they described Grantz as an arrancar with human silhouette which isn't guaranteed but pretty much is implying to be a vasto lorde.
Should be noted because it's easy to confuse this, but the only actual "Vasto Lordes" in Aizen's army are Ulquiorra + 3 others who you will meet later in the arc. All Arrancar under rank 4 are either Adjuchas or Gillians (actually, the guy Rukia fought and defeated I think is the only confirmed Gillian class). You can see in Grimmjow's backstory how he never evolved past Adjuchas level as he and his followers speculated he may not have the talent for it. It's heavily hinted at that the reason he had such a huge burst of strength to make it into the Espadas is because Aizen had used his Hogyoku to make Grimmjow an Arrancar. On the note of Arrancar and because the anime and even the manga won't tell you this, but Ulquiorra - on top of being a Vasto Lorde class Hollow (even before joining Aizen) - is also a naturally made Arrancar. His mask was broken sometime before he was found and recruited by Aizen. If you want to learn more about his backstory, I would suggest reading the one-shot "Unmasked" manga that goes over his past. If that man was as devoted to becoming more powerful as Grimmjow and the other Arrancar, I genuinely think he would be a menace for even Aizen in terms of strength. Sad that he was content with just being a follower and had no other greater ambitions

That episode you thought was filler when grand fisher came back was in fact mostly filler. The entire grand fisher thing was canon but the bit with the 3 mod soul doll guys was filler they don’t exist in canon and the chase sequence was padded a lot. They don’t often do it like that by completely adding new events but padding is pretty common this arc. Also not to downplay ikkaku but ikkaku never had the seal on him in the first place. He’s definitely strong enough that he should’ve had it but as a rule it’s only put on captains and lieutenants. And ikkaku is a 3rd seat. 1 below lieutenant. So he had his full power to beat edrad. It’s not just the padding but tons of stuff is censored in the anime this arc. The new anime isn’t censored nearly as much and you gonna notice the difference when you get to it. The worst part of the dragging out is done with. You already got through it. It’s still slow beyond this and the bit right after is just as bad but once you get past that it’s never quite as bad as it was with aaroniero and cirucci and stuff like that.

@@Mespyy Nice! Saw the forest scene and started reciting the jokes in my head, then thought how weird it was that it was the most ready memory for it. Went on and I started low key recognising the pacing of scenes, the text under Yamamoto was the dead giveaway. Still, I can definitely see why you used it. It makes for a much more nicely condensed version of the scenes than the anime proper, getting to all the good bits and skipping the staredowns.

But I just wanted to say 27:34 Aizen, Gin, and Tosen are Shinigami so they don't count. The 1-10 are espada so only arancars, mening that there are 3 more arancars above Ulquiora

The ironny here is that in reality Ichigo would have washed bith Yammy abd Ulquiorra at the same time with no didficulty if he had let his holllow fight them. White could literly solo all the espadas in a 1v10 with not too much trouble.

You kind of completely overlooked the fact that the Espada Rukia fought was the same Hollow that killed Kaien, her previous Lieutenant and also Ganju's brother which was why he hated Rukia during the Soul Society Retrieval Arc. That was like, the whole payoff to that whole part of the story lmao 😅😂
Btw this isn't a spoiler but a minor detail, if you noticed Ichigo's hollow mask keeps changing as the show progresses. I don't remember if they ever explained that in the show but iirc it shows how every time he improves with the hollowfication his mask design changes. Just a neat little detail.

I believe this was revealed in the Soul Society Arc, but the typical rule is that you need to achieve Bankai to become a captain (with Ikkaku keeping his hidden as its basically expected that Bankai = Captain). Kenpachi is an exception as he killed the previous captain cause squad 11 runs on Survival of the Strongest type rules. So if they are a captain, in theory, they have a bankai, though of course there are exceptions all around. Lieutenents typically do not have bankai, with Ikkaku and Renji being obvious exceptions.
Also another thing is Aizen isn’t worried about none of the captains outside of Yammato being the strongest and kenpachi with his unknown strength everyone else was fodder to aizen him being a narcissist and all.
The reason why Nel looks more human is because of Aizen. Aizen used to Hogyoku to give them humanoid forms, yes Vasto-Lorde class hollows resemble humans, but that doesn't mean they "looked" human, they take humanoid shapes, but they still had hollow-like bodies. And there was only a few of them, Grimmjow sadly isn't one, he didn't have a Humanoid Hollow form, which makes it obvious he was a class lower before Aizen turned him into an Arrancar. There's 5 stages of Hollow Evolution: Normal Hollow Gillian (commonly known as Menos Grande) Adjuchas (most Arrancars fall in this class) Vasto Lorde (very rare to achieve) Arrancar (Aizen made this possible)

Pretty sure there's only 3 Vasto Lordes They're naturally-occurring, meaning they evolved into it naturally as hollows. I believe those are Espada #1, #2 and #4. The rest are originally Adjhucas or Gillian and were boosted into a Vasto Lorde-like state through Aizen's Hogyoku. They're not really Vasto Lorde. Edit: it was 4 (top 4 Espada)
I understand people saying read the manga for the first part of the arrancar arc, but I think later on in the second half I think the anime does a pretty good job with it

The Hollow Masks the Espada have aren't attached to their skin. It slightly hovers above it. This was given to us by Kubo bcus someone asked him if the Espada bathed themselves and if the Masks get in the way and if what's under the mask stays consistently dirty at all times 🤣🤣

I’m also a little shocked that you haven’t formally recognized the absolute drip seen in Bleach yet. Tite Kubo said if he wasn’t a mangaka he would be a fashion designer instead, it’s the only anime where every single outfit would actually look good in real life even if the fit was designed over 10 years ago. I live and breathe fashion lol I’m obsessed with Kubo’s ability to not only to design amazing looks, but to use fashion as a tool for his characters to express their personality in ways that are relatable. In his head, he imagined “Rukia has a hard time finding clothes that fit”

Just a note on 11:35, Edorad is not a Vasto Lorde, all the numeros there are the intermediate level of menos grande; Adjuchas.
I would say More but i dont want to spoil anything. Just aa heads up, Vasto Lorde are incredibly rare and Powerful. Remember, they are Captain level BEFORE they gain aditional Soul reaper powers and become Arrancar.

So I got your first Bleach video in my recommended page and decided to watch it and really enjoyed it, so I watched both Soul society parts and decided to subscribe. It's nice to see others enjoying Bleach but yeah the fights start getting dragged out here, which is why I prefer the manga for this part the pacing gets better for Thousand year blood war. As for the filler arcs I actually enjoyed them, the placements are just bad especially the next one.. except the Bount arc no one likes that arc
The first episode I watched in bleach was when Grimmjow showed up in the world of the living at 9 yrs old. That episode hooked me in for life💯

i try to catch most details, sometimes i miss stuff but there really is a whole lot of foreshadowing and crucial pieces of information in the show that its hard to catch it all
Hey man I just wanted to point out that not all the arrancars you see are Vasto Lorde hollows. The arrancar process gives hollows a human form but most of them are just adjuchas level hollows (and some gillians) :P The human comparison is used when they are just hollows
To further expand on this point the og espadas are the only ones to become vasto lordes to then transform more human like (1-10 if I got that right) while the other numbers were all transformed by aizen which explain why some could be espadas but in fact weaker than true vasto lordes
@@romuluslupa1649 We would get into spoiler territory but only 1-4 are vasto lorde hollows, all of which are natural arrancars. The rest are adjuchas and are arrancars thanks to the hogyoku (except aaroniero who is the only gillian espada).
@Aazel No, number 1 is the only natural arrancar in the series, 2-4 were vasto lordes but became arrancars with the hogyoku like everyone else

@Aazel you are not making any sense, we saw them all in their flashbacks and they all looked different since they were just hollows and changed because of the arrancar transformation. Number 1 on the other hand looks exactly the same before and after joining aizen because he was already an arrancar without needing the hogyoku

Your analysis is really good and on point. The plot flowed so well in soul society and i dont think bleach's writing ever reaches that peak afterwards. The hype chart is always off the scale with bleach tho
I watched bleach when I was a kid on adult swim and this was my favorite arc because of Ulquiorra’s release. First time I thought they actually ended the MC 😂 I’ll be waiting for part 2

Just to be clear, so far we have only confirmed 5 of the Espada as Vasto lorde. the rest aren't iirc. They are 1-4 and 8.
Quick corretion, 8 wasn't confirmed as a Vasto Lorde. Szayel used to be Espada 0 when he was still fused with Ylforte Grantz but once they separated he lost the previous power he had. Now, if he was a Vasto Lorde when he was Cien, I don't remember, but as Szyael Aporro he isn't one anymore
@@vcamv2354 my bad, yep I meant when he was still espada Cero. I forgot what chapter but it was in the novel where they described Grantz as an arrancar with human silhouette which isn't guaranteed but pretty much is implying to be a vasto lorde.
Should be noted because it's easy to confuse this, but the only actual "Vasto Lordes" in Aizen's army are Ulquiorra + 3 others who you will meet later in the arc. All Arrancar under rank 4 are either Adjuchas or Gillians (actually, the guy Rukia fought and defeated I think is the only confirmed Gillian class). You can see in Grimmjow's backstory how he never evolved past Adjuchas level as he and his followers speculated he may not have the talent for it. It's heavily hinted at that the reason he had such a huge burst of strength to make it into the Espadas is because Aizen had used his Hogyoku to make Grimmjow an Arrancar.
On the note of Arrancar and because the anime and even the manga won't tell you this, but Ulquiorra - on top of being a Vasto Lorde class Hollow (even before joining Aizen) - is also a naturally made Arrancar. His mask was broken sometime before he was found and recruited by Aizen. If you want to learn more about his backstory, I would suggest reading the one-shot "Unmasked" manga that goes over his past. If that man was as devoted to becoming more powerful as Grimmjow and the other Arrancar, I genuinely think he would be a menace for even Aizen in terms of strength. Sad that he was content with just being a follower and had no other greater ambitions

That episode you thought was filler when grand fisher came back was in fact mostly filler. The entire grand fisher thing was canon but the bit with the 3 mod soul doll guys was filler they don’t exist in canon and the chase sequence was padded a lot.
They don’t often do it like that by completely adding new events but padding is pretty common this arc.
Also not to downplay ikkaku but ikkaku never had the seal on him in the first place. He’s definitely strong enough that he should’ve had it but as a rule it’s only put on captains and lieutenants. And ikkaku is a 3rd seat. 1 below lieutenant. So he had his full power to beat edrad.
It’s not just the padding but tons of stuff is censored in the anime this arc. The new anime isn’t censored nearly as much and you gonna notice the difference when you get to it.
The worst part of the dragging out is done with. You already got through it. It’s still slow beyond this and the bit right after is just as bad but once you get past that it’s never quite as bad as it was with aaroniero and cirucci and stuff like that.

Went on and I started low key recognising the pacing of scenes, the text under Yamamoto was the dead giveaway. Still, I can definitely see why you used it. It makes for a much more nicely condensed version of the scenes than the anime proper, getting to all the good bits and skipping the staredowns.

The ironny here is that in reality Ichigo would have washed bith Yammy abd Ulquiorra at the same time with no didficulty if he had let his holllow fight them. White could literly solo all the espadas in a 1v10 with not too much trouble.

Btw this isn't a spoiler but a minor detail, if you noticed Ichigo's hollow mask keeps changing as the show progresses. I don't remember if they ever explained that in the show but iirc it shows how every time he improves with the hollowfication his mask design changes. Just a neat little detail.

I believe this was revealed in the Soul Society Arc, but the typical rule is that you need to achieve Bankai to become a captain (with Ikkaku keeping his hidden as its basically expected that Bankai = Captain). Kenpachi is an exception as he killed the previous captain cause squad 11 runs on Survival of the Strongest type rules. So if they are a captain, in theory, they have a bankai, though of course there are exceptions all around. Lieutenents typically do not have bankai, with Ikkaku and Renji being obvious exceptions.
Aaroniero Aruriero is strong. He is just gillian. He hadn't even evolved into Adjuchas. He had the potential.

The reason why Nel looks more human is because of Aizen.
Aizen used to Hogyoku to give them humanoid forms, yes Vasto-Lorde class hollows resemble humans, but that doesn't mean they "looked" human, they take humanoid shapes, but they still had hollow-like bodies. And there was only a few of them, Grimmjow sadly isn't one, he didn't have a Humanoid Hollow form, which makes it obvious he was a class lower before Aizen turned him into an Arrancar. There's 5 stages of Hollow Evolution:
Normal Hollow
Gillian (commonly known as Menos Grande)
Adjuchas (most Arrancars fall in this class)
Vasto Lorde (very rare to achieve)
Arrancar (Aizen made this possible)

They're naturally-occurring, meaning they evolved into it naturally as hollows. I believe those are Espada #1, #2 and #4.
The rest are originally Adjhucas or Gillian and were boosted into a Vasto Lorde-like state through Aizen's Hogyoku. They're not really Vasto Lorde.
