And to add insult to injury, you have to track each recruit you have already obtained yourself. At least Sky was generous to color the recruitment message differently if you already have one of that species
There are only a few people that still upload content from it here, and the channels aren't really huge either, one of the main ones is "PMD Gang" with only a few thousand, But they upload some of the best regularly, they even gave us a way of recruiting Primal Dialga,
.1% doesnt mean you need 1000 kecleons to get 1...actually there is a 50% chance that you will have gotten one by the time you have killed 693 kecleons. There is also a 36.7% chance that you wont get one even if you kill 1000 kecleons.
It does mean that, assuming that the recruitments are independent events, the average number (ie. expected value) of Kecleon you need to murk before you successfully recruit one is 1000.
@@Alphabet576 I don't know what expected value is could you explain(mathematically)? Also my math is correct you can do them yourself. The probability of not getting a kecleon is 99.9%, the question is how many do you need to kill before recruiting one(assuming you stop at the event of recruiting one). This is written as (0.999)^x=y and it represents the probability y of not getting a kecleon after x attempts. Letting y=0.5 the probability of not getting a kecleon will be=0.5 so the prob of getting a kecleon will also be =0.5 (1 - 0.5 = 0.5) solving (0.999)^x=0.5 will give you x aprox =693.
@@ilias-4252 your math is indeed correct. Expected value is just the numerical average of the random variable's value over all possibilities. Say you flip a fair coin 100 times, the expected value of the number of heads you get is 50. But if the coin is rigged so that each flip is heads 60% of the time, the expected value of the number of heads becomes 60 instead. Here the variable is "number of attempts required before Kec is successfully recruited" and it is equal to 1 with probability .001, 2 with probability .001*.999, and in general n with probability .001*(.999)^(n-1). This is known as the "geometric distribution with parameter .001." Its expected value is 1/parameter, in this case 1/.001=1000. So the expected number of Kecs you need to beat to recruit it is 1000. But it can be more or less because it's a random process.
Yeah, I realised later that I forgot to put Jirachi on the list. Its definitely up there as one of the worst recruits in the game and it really shouldve been on the list. Just didn't think about Jirachi when I was preparing for this video
I just completed a recruit em all in darkness (no wondermail*), and this list holds up very well to what I experienced. I got exceptional luck with the seven treasures legendaries tho. I suffered so much recruiting Unown-W, Y and Z as well as failing 6 pichu recruits (I was using a level 100 fast friend with golden mask and my own service fish throughout the whole process). All the spacial rift recruits sucked, lunatone and solrock come to mind specifically. Grinding for levels on abomasnow, waillord, bronzong, and purugly was really boring too. Kecleon also took multiple attempts in Mt. Horn (I had to run zero isle south a few times to get a mobile orb for it once i realised how tough it was to stay alive). My IGT was around 98 hours, so I would guess my actual time was like 110-120 hours (I did this over 9 months this year on and off) *it was no wondermail apart from the seven treasures, no way to access the missions without wondermailing it in time/darkness
I also forgot, jirachi is a pain exclusive to time/darkness as it is a very low % recruitment rate in final maze on floor 21, meaning you can't bring in the golden mask and have to purely rely on level and fast friend (I didn't even have fast friend as I intended to use jirachi as my fast friend user because chikorita is so overdone and i wanted my playthrough to feel different). It also loves to hide in water so sometimes you just cannot access it.
I actually completely forgot about Jirachi. That should've been up there, and pretty high too. I've lost a run once to not recruiting it 13 times in a row, losing me several hours. The 7 treasure codes are allowed in the no wondermail speedrun ruleset for that exact reason btw. I gotta admit, 98 hours IGT is pretty impressive for a casual attempt :)
This is so cool, I loved playing explorers of time as a kid and beat it a few times but never made it to being able to evolve pokemon. I didn't know there was so much more content I was missing out on
The game is huge, especially when it comes to recruiting everything. Even with Wondermail the current record is over 38 hours to complete it, so it's no small feat. :)
I've seen so much of those low spawn rate pokemon by accidentally stepping on pokemon traps, not activating them, then throw a lot rocks around then activate it. Used pikachu to grind xp
The issue with Kecleon is that you basically have to shiny hunt to get it. There are some shiny hunting methods that are way better than 1/1000. Then again, if you have good stats, killing Kecleons is faster than most shiny hunting methods.
There is no pain greater than having a driftloon harass you by spamming unburden ominous wind on floor 49 of sky stairway. The ghost types camping you in the walls(Who tf thought that was a fair gameplay mechanic?) don't help either. It took me weeks to get my underleveled ass through that dungeon when I went through it for the first time, and I didn't even get Rayquaza. Seriously, it's still one of the hardest dungeons that don't put any kind of special restrictions on you imo. Long, big floors, no rest stop, boss fight at the end, and the hellspawn that drifloon is in the mystery dungeon franchise.
Yeah, having a mobile scarf really helps midigate the camping in the wall. That said, I agree, its a rough dungeon. The long floors, many ghosts, and then the boss only being 50% to recruit makes it just aweful
I’ve never gone through Sky Stairway, but I know exactly what you mean thanks to Super. Unburden minimize makes Drifloon an absolute nightmare when you’re first traveling to Lively Town via Sheer Mountain Range
In my recruit them all journey, kyogre took me around 7+ time through its dungeon not having anyone with double speed that was high leveled enough to go through. So I had to grind constantly through the dungeon with my party having the item that priorities water Pokemon recruitment. I must have gotten extremely bad luck cause with rayquaza I had gotten the recruit first try. The others like picku, abomasnow, bronzong, Milotic, and porygonZ were also difficult (especially level ups), but luckily wasn’t as harsh give or take making you restart a dungeon so many times. Kecleon is the worst. As of me putting in this comment, kecleon is the last Pokemon I need to recruit and am most certainly making a video for my process. Your video explains it perfectly why he sucks so bad. I am leveling up a mew for fast friends ability. He’s at max friendship so I have the ability, it’s just now having to grind for hours to get mew at level 99-100. I believe I’m at 80ish at the moment, but has been a process.
Good luck on getting Kecleon. Its a tough one for sure. If you want a method of leveling a bit faster: check the mission board for "golden chamber" missions. Especially relatively early in a dungeon. Save the game before going in. Grab the 2 treasure chests in the golden chamber (need something to cross water) and before saving again, open them. Every chest is a 1/8 chance to be a golden seed. If you get 0, reset back to the save. Every golden seed is instant 5 lvl ups so you can get to lvl 100 with just a few

I was considering of getting every single item in the game as well. Also I’m playing in sky not time. Have beaten time before though. I’m assuming sky has more items but probably not much besides gummi stuff
Good luck on the grind. Hope you'll get lucky and get those golden seeds fast. Sky has a bit more content then Time, but the differences are generally small. I've never played Sky though so I wouldn't know them in much detail.

I honestly didn’t realize how lucky I was to have recruited a few of these Pokemon simply through them joining me after I completed their request on the Job Board while playing through PMD EOS when I was still working on my 100% completion run. I might pick off where I left off soon but I really don’t wanna go to Aegis Cave again to recruit Unown and get all their stones too.
Recruiting unown doesnt have to be too bad. If you want to hunt them down, look for floors where the letters before it are missing (so if you need F and C, D and E are missing the odds of finding it go up significantly). This is especially true if the missing letter is in the name of the regi (so I, C and E for the Regice floors)

I know primal dialga doesn't count because it's a bug but if he was on this list it'd probably be 8th or 9th, not because getting it is super rare from the wonder mail trick (I got mine on my 5th try) The thing that makes getting primal dialga a pain is actually re-typing the wondermail code each and every single time you need to do it so it ends up taking forever to get.
2:08 - I believe the spawn limit is 14. In Rescue Team Pokemon are spread more thinly so no floor hits that limit... but that has its downsides, like trying to find Pidgey or Exeggcute in Howling Forest. By the way, doing something with 0.1% 1000 times gives you... 63.2% chances of at least one success. You still have about 1 in 3 to get fucked by RNG.
Sounds about right. I know there's a cap, don't remember the exact number. Lanturn stops blinking when attacked when the cap has been hit so thats always a quick way to know if you can still get more Pokemon. As for Kecleon, that's the major issue. In my best run (the current with Wondermail WR) I got Kecleon on the 99th attempt, but I've seen it into the several thousand before as well. Its just stupid tbh
I guess I was lucky, I recruited a Kecleon once, when I was a kid. I dint even know you could only get them by stealing from the shop, I just stole something and killed a few that were blocking the stairs, and boom recruited one.
and you also just happened to be carrying a golden mask, had a pokemon lvl 99-100, and that pokemon had the IQ fast friend? Not saying that couldn't happen by coincidence, but...

@@RocketPooch Golden mask gets you the highest added percentage (I think it goes up by 20 or 25 %, friend bow only goes up for 5), and you can find them on a high level floor of one of the zero isles. It's probably easier to look for a wonder mail online that gives it though XD . This is for pmd sky/darkness/ time, if you're talking pmd blue or red, there's only the friend bow.
Granted, I'm not that familiar with the categories, but I was expecting Darkrai to be on the list somewhere; considering that it only spawns in 5 dungeons, 1 floor each, requires the Mystery Part or Secret Slab (which I assume would be hard to get in the non WM category), and has a -22% base rate.
Darkrai definitely deserves an honorable mention. Its pretty consistent to see though and one of the dungeons it spawns in has a ton of rare recruits (porygon, bronzor, lunatone and solrock) so you usually go through it often enough to easily recruit it along the way. Its a bad recruit, its just that some of the others are worse imo
And Sky. Top 10 Pokemon that I'm not doing a recruit em all challenge. Instead, I'll take which Pokemon in Non Level Resetting dungeons. And rank them. Edit: Kyogre was gotten in Sky in Bottomless Sea.
I remember dealing with unknown at that after game, story moment. And kinda annoying because of certain unknown being hard to get. It took a while for that to clear.
Random story: Prior to September 2019, for the longest time, I've been wanting to recruit Kecleon for so long that no matter how many attempts that I've tried, not once, did I ever get lucky enough, until one day, I was looking for both recruiting other Pokemon and evolution stones, eventually finding the stones in a Kecleon shop, also deciding to steal too for shits and giggles, only for one wanting to join my team lol
Certainly feel you there. Low as hell recruit rate, and having ghost movement can potentially take recruit boosters out of the picture if you need the Mobile Scarf to even reach him.
You have to use an escape orb every time it shows up in the Miracle Sea 3 - wear a gold mask and have a mystery part and the recruiting chance is 2% I got him after 20 tries
Dang, I didn't even know you made videos like this, but it's nice to see some pretty informative, agreeable content getting produced for this game. I feel like I remember you prompting me for the ten hardest Pokémon to get in this game, and I probably just answered, "Porygon, Porygon2, Porygon-Z" lol. So at least this captures a fair amount of variety in terms of the challenges we face. There's like 50 Pokémon or something in this game that are difficult just because of 2% spawn rates so it's hard to only pick 10 hard things. Also I'm glad this footage shows Infernape strats, Time ReA WM is literally the only category where he gets to shine, and it's a shame because he is extremely fun to go fast with in PMD2.

I have never heard of the game or anything of the Maystery Dungeon series but Im happy RUclips randomly recommended it to me :D It looks pretty fun to play might ckecke it out later idk.
All I can say is I highly recommend it. Still easily my favorite Pokémon game in the series. Great story, cool characters, and just a really fun twist on the series as a whole :D
Try playing the balance hack Explorers of Alpha, it has a ton of QoL features from newer games, a higher difficulty curve and Arceus is in the game and recruitable. A Recruit Em All would probably be hellish in that game though since your expected to be level 100 by the end of the main game.
Agreed. The one advantage of darkrai is he's easy to find and you can have all the usual bonusses. He can still be a pain, but once you're lvl 100 he has ok odds of joining you (and luckily he's far weaker then during the initial fight)
@@15minutegaming32 They are, but once you have them Darkrai is USUALLY an easy find - especially given that there are multiple places he can show up, so you get to pick where to go. The only real obstacle is that he can travel through walls and his recruit rate is kinda low-ish (though nowhere NEAR as low as Kecleon's). You can still get him fairly reliably with the right preparation. He spawns in the following places: ~ Mystifying Forest (13F) ~ Lower Crevice Cave (B2F) ~ Miracle Sea (B3F) ~ Mt. Travail (17F), or ~ Spacial Rift (B14F) ... which is kind of ironic, given how he was defeated.
Would Darkrai be an honorable mention? You have to have a special item with you for it to spawn, you have to have a mon of a higher level, it has a very low recruitment rate, AND if you it doesn’t join your time after defeating it, you restart the dungeon over again. It took me way too long to recruit one for myself.
Ok you have to admit PMD Blue/Red has way harder Pokemon to recruit (Chansey, Ponyta, Eccegute, Pidgey, Snorlax, Clamperl, Relicanth, Chinchou, the Fossils, Walrein, Despotar, Celebi, Jirachi, Dragonite, Deoxys, Mew and Kecleon is also even harder to get in Blue/Red)
Oh absolutely, the Blue Rescue Team recruit 'em all is far worse then Explorers, not in the least because you have to grind out every evolution which you dont really need to do in Explorers. The only big advantage you have in Red/Blue is being able to wish pokemon in. It's slow, but at about 1 pokemon per 45 minutes it makes some Pokemon much less painful (like Kecleon). Really that's just a small advantage in comparison though
Idk what the odds are but I got a Kecleon the very first time I tried to recruit one which absolutely boggled my mind. All the mental preparation and the memories from the blue and red rescue team games for nothing. I'll never be that lucky again in anything I touch
@@Crrool So I got it first try on a Kecleon with 0.1%. Isn't that even lower than Blue and Red Rescue Team? I think their rates were 0.5% at best, right?
I’m still trying to recruit most of these Pokémon (Kyogre is the only legendary I don’t have). Even with the leader being Lv. 100 with a Golden Mask, it’s still really tough to recruit some of them. I want to recruit everything for the sake of completion, even though you get nothing for it. Not to mention I want to start a completely new game to experience the story as an adult. I’ve had the same save file for nearly 10 years and I want to use different starters this time around.
For what it's worth, Kyogre is a flat 50% every time you fight it. It doesn't change with Golden Mask or level or anything. This means I usually just go with something that will get me through the dungeon as fast as possible so I have the best chance to get it. I use an Infernape with Tight Belt or Weather Band (belt on most floors, Band on weather floors) and a fighting gem in the bag. Gives me double movement speed and makes rushing the dungeon reasonably easy. Hope that helps you, but unless you get really unlucky it shouldn't take too much time to obtain. Granted, I had a similar recruit (Articuno) take 8 tries last time I ran Recruit 'em All. Also a flat 50%, but sometimes you just get unlucky
When I played this as a kid I managed to somehow hatch a bronzong from an egg. I was shocked to say the least that it was even possible 😅 definitely go for egg missions you never know what you'll get
Egg missions are unfortunately very unreliable for a speedrun setting. Odds are you get super lucky and find something rare, but more likely than not you end up spending a decent amount of time to get something you don't need. Certainly fun in a casual setting though, but sadly too unreliable for a speedrun
Admittedly I don't actually know. While I've recruited him a few times, I never proceeded to check the stats. From what I've heard they're nothing amazing, but I cant really confirm that one way or another right now
shoutouts to mew in pokemon mystery dungeon dx who i still somehow don't have after killing like 10 -15 times with a friend ribbon and inviting orb, who has a 1% spawnrate only in certain floors of a 100 layer dunegon...
I'm so glad you mentioned Porygon, as he is indeed so annoying to get. Plus he isn't so interesting. All that trouble for such a meh character. Ummmm, for Abomasnow, you can level up Snover with a bunch of Ice pokemons? or with a Psyduck coming along? Or a Sunflora who has Sunny Day, if you don't mind the million messages about the sun hurting her. Also, you can use Snover's disadvantage at your advantage against all the non-ice pokemons, if you go about with him alone. If you're trying to reach a rescue, you can always carry a Sunny Orb or Rainy Orb for that specific floor. For Kyogre, you can go with Masquerain with a Bless Scarf, +speed if rainy, Kyogre CAUSES rainy weather, you'll be faster against him, and faster everywhere you go WITH Masquerain and Kyogre in the party afterwards, + Masquerain can deal Ominous Wind (or Blizzard, or Silver Wind) to help you if a Monster House springs on you. In Sky Stairway, if you bring along Drifloon and Drifblim set on Go After Enemies, your life is a lot easier, especially with all the ghosts hidden in the walls. They can get them for you, before you even know it's there. Your Kecleon strategy is just perfect. 🎉
Because there are so many really hard recruits in Spacial Rift and because Dusknoir is a guaranteed spawn in my experience you'll always get him before you'd have to grind for it
So I’ve just been using up all of my recruiting luck with the legendarys. That explains why I can never recruit anyone in the legend dungeons. (Beat them they join. Always thought it was guaranteed for them to join after you beat them)
I’m going to say this, I only played Explorers of Sky, which is the definitive version of the Explorers trilogy, but I never beat the game all the way. What I’m talking about is that I only beat the Main Game once on my first time playing the game where I was a Pikachu and I chose my partner to be Riolu, I only played Special Episodes 1 to 4 and never beat them, and didn’t even unlock Special Episode 5, which requires you to beat the first Post-Game Mystery Dungeon in Mystifying Forest, and I never beat it because the first Post-Game Boss in the Explorers trilogy is just bullcrap. And thus, I never beat the Post-Game of Explorers of Sky. And I hope that someday in the future, Pokémon and Spike Chunsoft make a combined remake of the Explorers games for the Switch 2, and this is a major reason why I want the remake to be easier, both for the first Post-Game boss, and these difficult recruits.
I find Porygon to be the dumbest Pokémon to recruit (and Lunatone I guess). Stuff only being in Spatial Rift is fine in my opinion, but having some only appear past the checkpoint, aka the point where the game will kick you out if you were there on missions, is utterly asinine. On the other hand, it let me cheese not only them, but Latios, given he spawns down there with the Slab or Part. Save at the checkpoint, reset if you fail, you just go right back to the checkpoint for another round. I forget if Escape Orbs in DSR will just bring you back to the checkpoint, but if so, that just lets you go back and save any of the five you got that round before going again.
I play mystery dungeon sky. Of all the pokemon i can't seem to get so far but need is Charmander. That way I can finish my team of Lyrea the Eevee, Lazarus the Riolu, Loki the Shinx, and hopefully a charmander named Luka.
Charmander isn't available until deep into the postgame sadly. I think it's the dungeon where you fight the post-game final boss. So yeah, if you're hoping to get one for your story playthrough I'm sorry to have to disappoint you.

I just wasn't really sure if I could even get him since I'd read that he was only available as a starter or through wondermail. But I'm glad that there's at least a chance that I can finish my team

The spawn rate is low, so it may take some tries to get it (with it spawning at about a 2% rate) and it doesn't help that the floors he does spawn on can have sandstorm (which kills Charmander after a bit of time). Luckily its recruit chance is decently high when you find it. It's in Dark Crater floor 1-10 (best odds on floor 1 and 2 at just over 3%)

Fun fact I actually recruited keckleon on my first ever playtrough of blue rescue team when I was a kid Never succeeded ever again lol And also not the same game but, can you recruit evolved pokémon in blue rescue team too ? I ever thought it was impossible.
Most evolved Pokémon aren't recruitable in Blue Rescue Team. If I recall there are a super small handful of exceptions, but they are rare if anything. The Blue Rescue Team Recruit 'em All speedrun as a result has a day and a half of just level grinding as a result (at least the one without RNG manip). For the worst ones we just use Wish cave though, since that's a good back-up for the final few Pokémon.
@@Cupshadow It really is. I've only done BRT Recruit 'em All once and Explorers probably 5 times or so. The amount of grinding necessary is just ridiculous. The one upside of BRT is having Wish Cave, so any Pokémon that would take over 45 minutes on average to get you can get through there, but that's hardly a redeeming quality here.
I’m surprised Giratina wasn’t on this list. I was able to get Rayquaza back in the day since his dungeon was just long and not that hard. However the Giratina dungeon has so many earthquake and earth power mons that mess you up. I don’t think I’ve ever recruited Giratina.
Personally I didn't really struggle with either dungeon. By the time I go for those recruits I'm fully evolved and lvl 100 with plenty of items to get me through just about every situation. At that point I struggle more with Rayquaza because of the dungeon length (and hunger being a thing)
Trying to resist the urge to start a new file on eos instead of concentrating on 100% dx i keep starting new files and all the games i wanna complete get put on the bench for ever aghh
Rotom is kinda hard to recruit. Low recruit rate, only really recruitable on a few floors of one dungeon, and hides a lot. Like Darkrai but not as bad.
Its actually a pretty easy recruit. Its spawn rate is only 0.92% in mystery jungle, but that dungeon can be used to spawn rate abuse quite easily. If you find a floor with treecko on it and just Teddiursa and Sunflora missing it goes up to ~5%, more if the ones above sunflora are also missing
In explorers of sky... Poochyena is ridiculously hard to recruit... all the same, I spend countless hours wandering around in dungeons, trying to recruit them... my aim is to get 100... so far I have 76, ahaha... I have serious problems
If you want to make finding them easier, look up the list of recruits for that floor online and than look for floors where the Pokemon above Poochyena are missing. The spawn odds of every missing Pokemon until another one on the floor gets added to the spawn chance of Poochyena. That should make him a bit easier to find
Usually what I'd do get enough stones for all of them, than save just before entering and reset until I get at least the last 2 (redoing ice only if needed). With them being 50% each that usually doesnt take too long
I think is not even possible to get the version exclusive legendary/mythical from time and darkness respectively. Im talking about mewtwo and celebi. Since theres no team trading or wondermail generator that can replicate the wi fi one.
I got a question regarding the mobile orb. I now got 491 Pokémon in Explorers of Sky with obviously Arceus missing and Kecleon. I wanted to use your strat because the idea behind it is great and I already got the right Pokémon (Mew) with Fast Friend and it's even Level 100 because I gained so many Exp while recruiting everything which was missing :D But where do I find the orb? I got so many rare items and items in general that I'm steadily around ~900/1000 items but I don't have a single one :( I even played through Zero Isle South now because I read you can find them there but nothing... At least I got a full adventure log in main menu now
The easiest place to get the Mobile Orb would be during the future sequence. Now, obviously, that isn't an option anymore, so there are 2 alternative options: 1. Wondermail it in; by far the fastest and easiest method. Just google for a WM generator 2. Spacial Rift; The odds are fairly low, but each orb spawned in Spacial Rift has a very low chance of being a Mobile Orb (2.33% for every orb that spawned). That's your best bet.

I often try to avoid the wonder mail generators because for me they are close to cheating (I mean, I could just use them to get every Pokémon instead of spending time) but after I wrote the question I just wondermailed it in because it's just an item and in this case I don't really care... I also already got Kecleon 1/2 hours ago :D It took me only around 200 in Mt. Horn and I'm very thankful for that. Now I finished my quest also in MD2 May I also ask where you get your information from? I was so glad to find a guide about all the spawn rates in every dungeon but information like how often which item in which dungeon spawns or something like that is completely new to me
Gamefaqs has a few guides which are basically just numbers sourced from the games code. It has spawn %'s down to 2 decimals and from what I've been able to tell in recruit 'em alls they are super accurate. Goes for both pokemon spawns and item spawns. Over the course of ~5 different recruit 'em alls I've learned to make good use of those to determine where my odds would be slightly better/worse Edit: the strategies I use I get from speedrun.com. MozzarellaCheez has a very in-depth guide on these runs. He did most of the routing for the recruit 'em alls (and he recently beat the world record on the category of this video)
I was sure to see Darkrai here, as you need to explore the zero islands to find the items you need to have the slighest chance of recruiting him I also think Giratina is harder than the other treasure guardians, mostly because his dungeon is filled with Nidoking/Nidoqueen who love to spam AOE move that can and will debuff.
Darkrai definitely deserves an honorable mention. Its pretty consistent to see though and one of the dungeons it spawns in has a ton of rare recruits (porygon, bronzor, lunatone and solrock) so you usually go through it often enough to easily recruit it along the way. The item you have to get for a number of other recruits as well so personally it doesn't feel as significant to get to me (and you can wondermail it in when WM is allowed). Its a bad recruit, its just that some of the others are worse imo. I get your point on Giratina. The dungeon is tough, but on the flipside it's also only 30 floors instead of 50, so personally I find Rayquaza worse
The regi's are a good one, but personally I don't find them too bad. The way you can make them easy is by collecting all the stones, then saving before entering and resetting if you don't recruit all 3 (or at least the last 2). This way you can fight just the regi's without having to deal with stone collecting. Considering each is a 50% this means you have a 12.5% chance to not need to reset, or 25% if you're willing to still reset over just the first one. With a bit of paying attention you can collect the stones as you're recruiting Unown, making the regi's very doable imo. Kyogre is just a slightly less bad Rayquaza and Ray is on the list, so that should explain how I feel about that one
I can't even say I disagree. Cresselia eats way more than it should. At least after that part of the story the recruiting itself is easy, but man can it eat up your stock of revivers
It's ability is quite good in explorers of sky. Attacks are not bad, good coverage. Stats are OK If I remember correctly it can be recruited at level one🤔🙄

Hilariously enough I got Pichu as an egg from a Poochyena that gave it to me after drinking at Spinda's cafe.
This is why I avoid having drinks at cafés, you never know if a random person smiles at you, gives you a baby then runs off.
And to add insult to injury, you have to track each recruit you have already obtained yourself. At least Sky was generous to color the recruitment message differently if you already have one of that species

There are only a few people that still upload content from it here, and the channels aren't really huge either, one of the main ones is "PMD Gang" with only a few thousand, But they upload some of the best regularly, they even gave us a way of recruiting Primal Dialga,

.1% doesnt mean you need 1000 kecleons to get 1...actually there is a 50% chance that you will have gotten one by the time you have killed 693 kecleons. There is also a 36.7% chance that you wont get one even if you kill 1000 kecleons.
It does mean that, assuming that the recruitments are independent events, the average number (ie. expected value) of Kecleon you need to murk before you successfully recruit one is 1000.

The probability of not getting a kecleon is 99.9%, the question is how many do you need to kill before recruiting one(assuming you stop at the event of recruiting one). This is written as (0.999)^x=y and it represents the probability y of not getting a kecleon after x attempts. Letting y=0.5 the probability of not getting a kecleon will be=0.5 so the prob of getting a kecleon will also be =0.5 (1 - 0.5 = 0.5) solving (0.999)^x=0.5 will give you x aprox =693.

Say you flip a fair coin 100 times, the expected value of the number of heads you get is 50. But if the coin is rigged so that each flip is heads 60% of the time, the expected value of the number of heads becomes 60 instead.
Here the variable is "number of attempts required before Kec is successfully recruited" and it is equal to 1 with probability .001, 2 with probability .001*.999, and in general n with probability .001*(.999)^(n-1). This is known as the "geometric distribution with parameter .001." Its expected value is 1/parameter, in this case 1/.001=1000. So the expected number of Kecs you need to beat to recruit it is 1000. But it can be more or less because it's a random process.

For me, I found Jirachi one of the hardest to recruit, since you can’t really bring any recruit boosting items in the Final Maze
Yeah, I realised later that I forgot to put Jirachi on the list. Its definitely up there as one of the worst recruits in the game and it really shouldve been on the list. Just didn't think about Jirachi when I was preparing for this video

I just completed a recruit em all in darkness (no wondermail*), and this list holds up very well to what I experienced. I got exceptional luck with the seven treasures legendaries tho. I suffered so much recruiting Unown-W, Y and Z as well as failing 6 pichu recruits (I was using a level 100 fast friend with golden mask and my own service fish throughout the whole process). All the spacial rift recruits sucked, lunatone and solrock come to mind specifically. Grinding for levels on abomasnow, waillord, bronzong, and purugly was really boring too. Kecleon also took multiple attempts in Mt. Horn (I had to run zero isle south a few times to get a mobile orb for it once i realised how tough it was to stay alive).
My IGT was around 98 hours, so I would guess my actual time was like 110-120 hours (I did this over 9 months this year on and off)
*it was no wondermail apart from the seven treasures, no way to access the missions without wondermailing it in time/darkness
I also forgot, jirachi is a pain exclusive to time/darkness as it is a very low % recruitment rate in final maze on floor 21, meaning you can't bring in the golden mask and have to purely rely on level and fast friend (I didn't even have fast friend as I intended to use jirachi as my fast friend user because chikorita is so overdone and i wanted my playthrough to feel different). It also loves to hide in water so sometimes you just cannot access it.
I actually completely forgot about Jirachi. That should've been up there, and pretty high too. I've lost a run once to not recruiting it 13 times in a row, losing me several hours.
The 7 treasure codes are allowed in the no wondermail speedrun ruleset for that exact reason btw. I gotta admit, 98 hours IGT is pretty impressive for a casual attempt :)
Out of the 3 explorers games, which one has the best chance at recruiting all pokemon aside from arceus?
Only in Sky can you get every Pokémon. Time doesn't have Mewtwo and Shaymin, Darkness doesn't have Celebi and Shaymin

This is so cool, I loved playing explorers of time as a kid and beat it a few times but never made it to being able to evolve pokemon. I didn't know there was so much more content I was missing out on
The game is huge, especially when it comes to recruiting everything. Even with Wondermail the current record is over 38 hours to complete it, so it's no small feat. :)
I've seen so much of those low spawn rate pokemon by accidentally stepping on pokemon traps, not activating them, then throw a lot rocks around then activate it. Used pikachu to grind xp

The issue with Kecleon is that you basically have to shiny hunt to get it. There are some shiny hunting methods that are way better than 1/1000. Then again, if you have good stats, killing Kecleons is faster than most shiny hunting methods.
There is no pain greater than having a driftloon harass you by spamming unburden ominous wind on floor 49 of sky stairway. The ghost types camping you in the walls(Who tf thought that was a fair gameplay mechanic?) don't help either. It took me weeks to get my underleveled ass through that dungeon when I went through it for the first time, and I didn't even get Rayquaza. Seriously, it's still one of the hardest dungeons that don't put any kind of special restrictions on you imo. Long, big floors, no rest stop, boss fight at the end, and the hellspawn that drifloon is in the mystery dungeon franchise.
Yeah, having a mobile scarf really helps midigate the camping in the wall. That said, I agree, its a rough dungeon. The long floors, many ghosts, and then the boss only being 50% to recruit makes it just aweful
I’ve never gone through Sky Stairway, but I know exactly what you mean thanks to Super. Unburden minimize makes Drifloon an absolute nightmare when you’re first traveling to Lively Town via Sheer Mountain Range

In my recruit them all journey, kyogre took me around 7+ time through its dungeon not having anyone with double speed that was high leveled enough to go through. So I had to grind constantly through the dungeon with my party having the item that priorities water Pokemon recruitment. I must have gotten extremely bad luck cause with rayquaza I had gotten the recruit first try. The others like picku, abomasnow, bronzong, Milotic, and porygonZ were also difficult (especially level ups), but luckily wasn’t as harsh give or take making you restart a dungeon so many times.
Kecleon is the worst. As of me putting in this comment, kecleon is the last Pokemon I need to recruit and am most certainly making a video for my process. Your video explains it perfectly why he sucks so bad. I am leveling up a mew for fast friends ability. He’s at max friendship so I have the ability, it’s just now having to grind for hours to get mew at level 99-100. I believe I’m at 80ish at the moment, but has been a process.

If you want a method of leveling a bit faster: check the mission board for "golden chamber" missions. Especially relatively early in a dungeon. Save the game before going in. Grab the 2 treasure chests in the golden chamber (need something to cross water) and before saving again, open them. Every chest is a 1/8 chance to be a golden seed. If you get 0, reset back to the save. Every golden seed is instant 5 lvl ups so you can get to lvl 100 with just a few

I was considering of getting every single item in the game as well. Also I’m playing in sky not time. Have beaten time before though. I’m assuming sky has more items but probably not much besides gummi stuff
Good luck on the grind. Hope you'll get lucky and get those golden seeds fast. Sky has a bit more content then Time, but the differences are generally small. I've never played Sky though so I wouldn't know them in much detail.

I honestly didn’t realize how lucky I was to have recruited a few of these Pokemon simply through them joining me after I completed their request on the Job Board while playing through PMD EOS when I was still working on my 100% completion run. I might pick off where I left off soon but I really don’t wanna go to Aegis Cave again to recruit Unown and get all their stones too.
Recruiting unown doesnt have to be too bad. If you want to hunt them down, look for floors where the letters before it are missing (so if you need F and C, D and E are missing the odds of finding it go up significantly). This is especially true if the missing letter is in the name of the regi (so I, C and E for the Regice floors)

I know primal dialga doesn't count because it's a bug but if he was on this list it'd probably be 8th or 9th, not because getting it is super rare from the wonder mail trick (I got mine on my 5th try) The thing that makes getting primal dialga a pain is actually re-typing the wondermail code each and every single time you need to do it so it ends up taking forever to get.

In Rescue Team Pokemon are spread more thinly so no floor hits that limit... but that has its downsides, like trying to find Pidgey or Exeggcute in Howling Forest.
By the way, doing something with 0.1% 1000 times gives you... 63.2% chances of at least one success. You still have about 1 in 3 to get fucked by RNG.
Sounds about right. I know there's a cap, don't remember the exact number. Lanturn stops blinking when attacked when the cap has been hit so thats always a quick way to know if you can still get more Pokemon.
As for Kecleon, that's the major issue. In my best run (the current with Wondermail WR) I got Kecleon on the 99th attempt, but I've seen it into the several thousand before as well. Its just stupid tbh

I guess I was lucky, I recruited a Kecleon once, when I was a kid. I dint even know you could only get them by stealing from the shop, I just stole something and killed a few that were blocking the stairs, and boom recruited one.

@@RocketPooch Golden mask gets you the highest added percentage (I think it goes up by 20 or 25 %, friend bow only goes up for 5), and you can find them on a high level floor of one of the zero isles. It's probably easier to look for a wonder mail online that gives it though XD . This is for pmd sky/darkness/ time, if you're talking pmd blue or red, there's only the friend bow.

I remember dealing with unknown at that after game, story moment. And kinda annoying because of certain unknown being hard to get. It took a while for that to clear.
Random story: Prior to September 2019, for the longest time, I've been wanting to recruit Kecleon for so long that no matter how many attempts that I've tried, not once, did I ever get lucky enough, until one day, I was looking for both recruiting other Pokemon and evolution stones, eventually finding the stones in a Kecleon shop, also deciding to steal too for shits and giggles, only for one wanting to join my team lol
groudon’s dungeon is only 10 floors and I had to clear the level 4 TIMES to recruit it, can’t even imagine trying to get kyogre after 50 floors

Certainly feel you there. Low as hell recruit rate, and having ghost movement can potentially take recruit boosters out of the picture if you need the Mobile Scarf to even reach him.
You have to use an escape orb every time it shows up in the Miracle Sea 3 - wear a gold mask and have a mystery part and the recruiting chance is 2% I got him after 20 tries
Dang, I didn't even know you made videos like this, but it's nice to see some pretty informative, agreeable content getting produced for this game.
I feel like I remember you prompting me for the ten hardest Pokémon to get in this game, and I probably just answered, "Porygon, Porygon2, Porygon-Z" lol. So at least this captures a fair amount of variety in terms of the challenges we face. There's like 50 Pokémon or something in this game that are difficult just because of 2% spawn rates so it's hard to only pick 10 hard things.
Also I'm glad this footage shows Infernape strats, Time ReA WM is literally the only category where he gets to shine, and it's a shame because he is extremely fun to go fast with in PMD2.

Getting kecleon is like finding playing the lottery ticket and winning 1000 times.
I remember trying for hours as a kid to recruit Dusknoir in spatial rift in EOD. I never got him, and I actually got Dialga to lv.100 during my grind.
Dusknoir is such a pain. Sometimes it's super easy, barely an inconvenience. Other times it's just aweful
I have never heard of the game or anything of the Maystery Dungeon series but Im happy RUclips randomly recommended it to me :D

Try playing the balance hack Explorers of Alpha, it has a ton of QoL features from newer games, a higher difficulty curve and Arceus is in the game and recruitable. A Recruit Em All would probably be hellish in that game though since your expected to be level 100 by the end of the main game.

Agreed. The one advantage of darkrai is he's easy to find and you can have all the usual bonusses. He can still be a pain, but once you're lvl 100 he has ok odds of joining you (and luckily he's far weaker then during the initial fight)

@@15minutegaming32 They are, but once you have them Darkrai is USUALLY an easy find - especially given that there are multiple places he can show up, so you get to pick where to go. The only real obstacle is that he can travel through walls and his recruit rate is kinda low-ish (though nowhere NEAR as low as Kecleon's). You can still get him fairly reliably with the right preparation.
He spawns in the following places:
~ Mystifying Forest (13F)
~ Lower Crevice Cave (B2F)
~ Miracle Sea (B3F)
~ Mt. Travail (17F), or
~ Spacial Rift (B14F) ... which is kind of ironic, given how he was defeated.

You have to have a special item with you for it to spawn, you have to have a mon of a higher level, it has a very low recruitment rate, AND if you it doesn’t join your time after defeating it, you restart the dungeon over again. It took me way too long to recruit one for myself.

The speedrun doesnt allow for wondermailing in pokemon as you'd just wondermail nearly all of them making the run just typing in lots of codes quickly

Ok you have to admit PMD Blue/Red has way harder Pokemon to recruit (Chansey, Ponyta, Eccegute, Pidgey, Snorlax, Clamperl, Relicanth, Chinchou, the Fossils, Walrein, Despotar, Celebi, Jirachi, Dragonite, Deoxys, Mew and Kecleon is also even harder to get in Blue/Red)
Oh absolutely, the Blue Rescue Team recruit 'em all is far worse then Explorers, not in the least because you have to grind out every evolution which you dont really need to do in Explorers. The only big advantage you have in Red/Blue is being able to wish pokemon in. It's slow, but at about 1 pokemon per 45 minutes it makes some Pokemon much less painful (like Kecleon). Really that's just a small advantage in comparison though
Idk what the odds are but I got a Kecleon the very first time I tried to recruit one which absolutely boggled my mind. All the mental preparation and the memories from the blue and red rescue team games for nothing. I'll never be that lucky again in anything I touch
The odds of a single Kecleon joining are 0.1%. With how often they spawn it's pretty quick to get a number of kills very quickly though

Coincidentially, I was levelling up the one on 6th place when I first watched this video now.
I’m still trying to recruit most of these Pokémon (Kyogre is the only legendary I don’t have). Even with the leader being Lv. 100 with a Golden Mask, it’s still really tough to recruit some of them. I want to recruit everything for the sake of completion, even though you get nothing for it.
Not to mention I want to start a completely new game to experience the story as an adult. I’ve had the same save file for nearly 10 years and I want to use different starters this time around.
For what it's worth, Kyogre is a flat 50% every time you fight it. It doesn't change with Golden Mask or level or anything. This means I usually just go with something that will get me through the dungeon as fast as possible so I have the best chance to get it. I use an Infernape with Tight Belt or Weather Band (belt on most floors, Band on weather floors) and a fighting gem in the bag. Gives me double movement speed and makes rushing the dungeon reasonably easy. Hope that helps you, but unless you get really unlucky it shouldn't take too much time to obtain. Granted, I had a similar recruit (Articuno) take 8 tries last time I ran Recruit 'em All. Also a flat 50%, but sometimes you just get unlucky

When I played this as a kid I managed to somehow hatch a bronzong from an egg. I was shocked to say the least that it was even possible 😅 definitely go for egg missions you never know what you'll get
Egg missions are unfortunately very unreliable for a speedrun setting. Odds are you get super lucky and find something rare, but more likely than not you end up spending a decent amount of time to get something you don't need. Certainly fun in a casual setting though, but sadly too unreliable for a speedrun
I heard Kecleon just goes to level 30 when you recruit him but he still has max stats or something?
Admittedly I don't actually know. While I've recruited him a few times, I never proceeded to check the stats. From what I've heard they're nothing amazing, but I cant really confirm that one way or another right now

I'm so glad you mentioned Porygon, as he is indeed so annoying to get. Plus he isn't so interesting. All that trouble for such a meh character.
Ummmm, for Abomasnow, you can level up Snover with a bunch of Ice pokemons? or with a Psyduck coming along? Or a Sunflora who has Sunny Day, if you don't mind the million messages about the sun hurting her. Also, you can use Snover's disadvantage at your advantage against all the non-ice pokemons, if you go about with him alone. If you're trying to reach a rescue, you can always carry a Sunny Orb or Rainy Orb for that specific floor.
For Kyogre, you can go with Masquerain with a Bless Scarf, +speed if rainy, Kyogre CAUSES rainy weather, you'll be faster against him, and faster everywhere you go WITH Masquerain and Kyogre in the party afterwards, + Masquerain can deal Ominous Wind (or Blizzard, or Silver Wind) to help you if a Monster House springs on you.
In Sky Stairway, if you bring along Drifloon and Drifblim set on Go After Enemies, your life is a lot easier, especially with all the ghosts hidden in the walls. They can get them for you, before you even know it's there.

What about dusknoir in the spacial rift?
Because there are so many really hard recruits in Spacial Rift and because Dusknoir is a guaranteed spawn in my experience you'll always get him before you'd have to grind for it
So I’ve just been using up all of my recruiting luck with the legendarys. That explains why I can never recruit anyone in the legend dungeons. (Beat them they join. Always thought it was guaranteed for them to join after you beat them)

I’m going to say this, I only played Explorers of Sky, which is the definitive version of the Explorers trilogy, but I never beat the game all the way. What I’m talking about is that I only beat the Main Game once on my first time playing the game where I was a Pikachu and I chose my partner to be Riolu, I only played Special Episodes 1 to 4 and never beat them, and didn’t even unlock Special Episode 5, which requires you to beat the first Post-Game Mystery Dungeon in Mystifying Forest, and I never beat it because the first Post-Game Boss in the Explorers trilogy is just bullcrap. And thus, I never beat the Post-Game of Explorers of Sky. And I hope that someday in the future, Pokémon and Spike Chunsoft make a combined remake of the Explorers games for the Switch 2, and this is a major reason why I want the remake to be easier, both for the first Post-Game boss, and these difficult recruits.
In blue mystery dungeon i got keckleon first try after getting the friend scarf and when i did i didn't even know it was needed to get keckleon
That's very lucky. Just like in explorers, kec is 0.1% in blue rescue team (w/ scarf equipped). Without scarf it's an impossible recruit
I find Porygon to be the dumbest Pokémon to recruit (and Lunatone I guess). Stuff only being in Spatial Rift is fine in my opinion, but having some only appear past the checkpoint, aka the point where the game will kick you out if you were there on missions, is utterly asinine.
On the other hand, it let me cheese not only them, but Latios, given he spawns down there with the Slab or Part. Save at the checkpoint, reset if you fail, you just go right back to the checkpoint for another round. I forget if Escape Orbs in DSR will just bring you back to the checkpoint, but if so, that just lets you go back and save any of the five you got that round before going again.
I play mystery dungeon sky. Of all the pokemon i can't seem to get so far but need is Charmander. That way I can finish my team of Lyrea the Eevee, Lazarus the Riolu, Loki the Shinx, and hopefully a charmander named Luka.
Charmander isn't available until deep into the postgame sadly. I think it's the dungeon where you fight the post-game final boss. So yeah, if you're hoping to get one for your story playthrough I'm sorry to have to disappoint you.

I just wasn't really sure if I could even get him since I'd read that he was only available as a starter or through wondermail. But I'm glad that there's at least a chance that I can finish my team

The spawn rate is low, so it may take some tries to get it (with it spawning at about a 2% rate) and it doesn't help that the floors he does spawn on can have sandstorm (which kills Charmander after a bit of time). Luckily its recruit chance is decently high when you find it. It's in Dark Crater floor 1-10 (best odds on floor 1 and 2 at just over 3%)

It's an IQ skill some pokemon get that allow you to automatically restore 1 pp on a random move at the start of every floor

Most evolved Pokémon aren't recruitable in Blue Rescue Team. If I recall there are a super small handful of exceptions, but they are rare if anything. The Blue Rescue Team Recruit 'em All speedrun as a result has a day and a half of just level grinding as a result (at least the one without RNG manip). For the worst ones we just use Wish cave though, since that's a good back-up for the final few Pokémon.

@@Cupshadow It really is. I've only done BRT Recruit 'em All once and Explorers probably 5 times or so. The amount of grinding necessary is just ridiculous. The one upside of BRT is having Wish Cave, so any Pokémon that would take over 45 minutes on average to get you can get through there, but that's hardly a redeeming quality here.
I’m surprised Giratina wasn’t on this list. I was able to get Rayquaza back in the day since his dungeon was just long and not that hard. However the Giratina dungeon has so many earthquake and earth power mons that mess you up. I don’t think I’ve ever recruited Giratina.
Personally I didn't really struggle with either dungeon. By the time I go for those recruits I'm fully evolved and lvl 100 with plenty of items to get me through just about every situation. At that point I struggle more with Rayquaza because of the dungeon length (and hunger being a thing)

Rotom is kinda hard to recruit. Low recruit rate, only really recruitable on a few floors of one dungeon, and hides a lot.
Like Darkrai but not as bad.
Number 1, Treeko, literally impossible according to the guide
Its actually a pretty easy recruit. Its spawn rate is only 0.92% in mystery jungle, but that dungeon can be used to spawn rate abuse quite easily. If you find a floor with treecko on it and just Teddiursa and Sunflora missing it goes up to ~5%, more if the ones above sunflora are also missing

Yup, the only Pokemon you can't get in Explorers in Time are Mewtwo (Celebi in Darkness), Shaymin and Arceus. Everything else is recruitable
In explorers of sky... Poochyena is ridiculously hard to recruit... all the same, I spend countless hours wandering around in dungeons, trying to recruit them... my aim is to get 100... so far I have 76, ahaha... I have serious problems
If you want to make finding them easier, look up the list of recruits for that floor online and than look for floors where the Pokemon above Poochyena are missing. The spawn odds of every missing Pokemon until another one on the floor gets added to the spawn chance of Poochyena. That should make him a bit easier to find

Usually what I'd do get enough stones for all of them, than save just before entering and reset until I get at least the last 2 (redoing ice only if needed). With them being 50% each that usually doesnt take too long
I think is not even possible to get the version exclusive legendary/mythical from time and darkness respectively. Im talking about mewtwo and celebi. Since theres no team trading or wondermail generator that can replicate the wi fi one.
Correct. I didn't include them since the speedrun doesnt require them for that very reason. The obtainable one isn't too bad though
I got a question regarding the mobile orb. I now got 491 Pokémon in Explorers of Sky with obviously Arceus missing and Kecleon. I wanted to use your strat because the idea behind it is great and I already got the right Pokémon (Mew) with Fast Friend and it's even Level 100 because I gained so many Exp while recruiting everything which was missing :D But where do I find the orb? I got so many rare items and items in general that I'm steadily around ~900/1000 items but I don't have a single one :( I even played through Zero Isle South now because I read you can find them there but nothing... At least I got a full adventure log in main menu now
The easiest place to get the Mobile Orb would be during the future sequence. Now, obviously, that isn't an option anymore, so there are 2 alternative options:
1. Wondermail it in; by far the fastest and easiest method. Just google for a WM generator
2. Spacial Rift; The odds are fairly low, but each orb spawned in Spacial Rift has a very low chance of being a Mobile Orb (2.33% for every orb that spawned). That's your best bet.

I often try to avoid the wonder mail generators because for me they are close to cheating (I mean, I could just use them to get every Pokémon instead of spending time) but after I wrote the question I just wondermailed it in because it's just an item and in this case I don't really care... I also already got Kecleon 1/2 hours ago :D It took me only around 200 in Mt. Horn and I'm very thankful for that. Now I finished my quest also in MD2
May I also ask where you get your information from? I was so glad to find a guide about all the spawn rates in every dungeon but information like how often which item in which dungeon spawns or something like that is completely new to me
Gamefaqs has a few guides which are basically just numbers sourced from the games code. It has spawn %'s down to 2 decimals and from what I've been able to tell in recruit 'em alls they are super accurate. Goes for both pokemon spawns and item spawns. Over the course of ~5 different recruit 'em alls I've learned to make good use of those to determine where my odds would be slightly better/worse
Edit: the strategies I use I get from speedrun.com. MozzarellaCheez has a very in-depth guide on these runs. He did most of the routing for the recruit 'em alls (and he recently beat the world record on the category of this video)
I was sure to see Darkrai here, as you need to explore the zero islands to find the items you need to have the slighest chance of recruiting him
I also think Giratina is harder than the other treasure guardians, mostly because his dungeon is filled with Nidoking/Nidoqueen who love to spam AOE move that can and will debuff.
Darkrai definitely deserves an honorable mention. Its pretty consistent to see though and one of the dungeons it spawns in has a ton of rare recruits (porygon, bronzor, lunatone and solrock) so you usually go through it often enough to easily recruit it along the way. The item you have to get for a number of other recruits as well so personally it doesn't feel as significant to get to me (and you can wondermail it in when WM is allowed). Its a bad recruit, its just that some of the others are worse imo.
I get your point on Giratina. The dungeon is tough, but on the flipside it's also only 30 floors instead of 50, so personally I find Rayquaza worse

The regi's are a good one, but personally I don't find them too bad. The way you can make them easy is by collecting all the stones, then saving before entering and resetting if you don't recruit all 3 (or at least the last 2). This way you can fight just the regi's without having to deal with stone collecting. Considering each is a 50% this means you have a 12.5% chance to not need to reset, or 25% if you're willing to still reset over just the first one. With a bit of paying attention you can collect the stones as you're recruiting Unown, making the regi's very doable imo.
Kyogre is just a slightly less bad Rayquaza and Ray is on the list, so that should explain how I feel about that one
You forget Cresselia..... She us the hardest one to forgive for alk the troubke she gave us in Dark Crater and took away all the Reviver Seed.
I can't even say I disagree. Cresselia eats way more than it should. At least after that part of the story the recruiting itself is easy, but man can it eat up your stock of revivers

It's ability is quite good in explorers of sky. Attacks are not bad, good coverage. Stats are OK

The worst pokemon to unlock are Primal Dialga and Purple Keckleon because they are only unlockable by cheat code lol

Yeah, that can happen. Using wondermail codes to get recruit rewards isnt allowed sadly, so outside of sheer luck we cant do that in the run
