The RUclips algorithm was seriously on point when it recommended I watch the drum major from Jefferson Davis High. It's opened up a whole new world of entertainment. These marching bands are so fun to watch. If I'm ever in the Deep South, I'm looking forward to seeing them live.

@@elmirafavela3463 These are HBCUs (Historically Black College/University). They were created because black people weren't allowed to attend white schools or PWIs (Predominantly White Institutions) . Anyone can attend but whites usually don't want to be around blacks(white flight) so they don't attend these schools. There is a whole culture surrounding these schools.

The Stingettes are absolutely incredible. They are mesmerizing, captivating and hypnotizing. Everytime I watch them march in - and out - of a stadium they put me in a trance and I can't take my eyes off until the end of the video, or there is a commercial interruption - whichever comes first. Either way, the entire ASU Marching Band is consistently the best marching band I've ever seen, black or white. I think they deserve some national recognition. They are how I got hooked on watching the HBCU Marching Bands Marching In - and Marching Out - videos on RUclips. They were wearing their gold capes marching into the stadium in Birminghan 2 or 3 weeks ago, is when I first fell under their spell.

Note to young percussionists coming up; Wear ear protection when practicing or marching on hard surfaces (concrete/asphalt). 20 years after marching elementary, jr. high, HS, and college, I now need to wear a hearing aide. Awesome video by the way.

I love that the girls' outfits aren't all the same, they are the same colour and have a similar shape, but the cutouts are in different places and they look awesome.
The outfit of the smaller girl in the front showing her midriff is absolutely stunning on her.
Loved this! I really enjoy watching this band march in and out of the stadium. I especially liked seeing the entire band - from the drum majors to the last dance line troupe - getting their turn in the limelight. Thanks for another great video!!!

AT 9:34 on this video, the choreo was hittin!!! This was good footage of a lot of Stingettes and a lil band. I loved it. Can't take your eyes off of these Stingettes honey, you'll miss something. This captain though. She will be hard to replace after leaving. She's a force to be reconed with!! LOL. I love the precision, elegance, flawness, and graceful moves of the band and dancers. I hope that I can find the field show and stands for the game that they were marching from!!!

I didn't go to a hbcu, but I did go to a major black high school and played in the marching band. When I was in college and the game was over, the band director would give some announcements and after that, we just get up and go home. I missed out in this experience of hbcu marching band.

The ladies all look so beautiful, and it's so much fun to watch their precise, yet fluid, graceful, and feminine moves. They massage it look easy, but I bet that takes a phenomenal amount of practice and concentration. Not to mention aerobic capacity. They are moving at a serious clip, even without the dancing!
And just think, these women are studying to be future scientists, writers, teachers, accountants, artists, lawyers, mathematicians, doctors -- beauty and brains!
